I love that Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek) voices the super mutant Marcus in both Fallout 2 AND New Vegas, 12 years apart. Such a distinctive voice.
Bruce Isaac (the singer) also mentions that "Mr Bishop isn't like the other bosses, he likes to scour the wasteland". This is a reference to male players in FO2 being able to seduce, bang, and impregnate John Bishop's wife. If this happens, you'll get an ending slide explaining how the Bishop's had a son who was "nothing like his father and enjoyed wandering the wastes". This means that the Mr Bishop being referenced in New Vegas is actually the biological son of the Chosen One from FO2 and the great grandson of the original Vault Dweller from FO1
Cesaer will also talk about Tandi, he has a lot of good things to say about her and her leadership, another fun detail is that Tandi is on the NCR $100 bill
3:05 Killing the Deathclaw by shooting it in the eye is another reference. In Fallout 1 when you meet Harold you can ask him about the Deathclaws. He mentions that they can hypnotyze their victims by just looking at them, so he suggests shooting them in the eyes :)

Fun little theory: The crashed highwayman vehicle and the radscorpions close by led some to believe that No Bark Noonan, the crazy guy from Novac may actually be the Chosen One ( the protagonist from Fallout 2 ), given how apparently he went crazy after suffering multiple radscorpion stings to his skull. Basically, the theory goes that he crashed the Highwayman and while wounded from the crash, was attacked and stung by radscorpions, and was probably treated by Novac doctors. Also, the presence of That Gun in the shop.

In the end of the Lonesome Road DLC, when you're finally confronting Ulysses face to face in his temple, one of the dialogue options will have him comparing you both. How while he walked the East, you walked the West in places such as Circle Junction, Reno, Vault City and Fort Aradesh (named after Aradesh, founder of Shady Sands and father of Tandi. Nowadays, the fort is known as Fort Abandon).
One easter egg from New Vegas is Chet, the owner and merchant of goodsprings general store. His name is a reference to the original debug tool from fallout 2 See instead of a normal item to debug with during the creation of the game, interplay devs simply had an npc they could spawn in that had the ability to change your characters reputations on the spot. He was referred to as a shady salesman. This npc was named chet! And when they made new vegas. They thought a great name for the very first vendor you meet in the game would be chet.
Chet's retired his shady salesman ways and is living a cozy life in goodsprings, that is, until he is needed once again to protect the town from the vicious powder gangers.

Nobody really knows the full story of either character. Fallout 1 is LA to almost SF vertically & Fallout 2 is just south of SF to the almost the top of California vertically (Mariposa Military Base is in both games as in F1 it's the top left of the map but F2 it's the bottom left. Fallout 2 goes into Nevada horizontally. Not sure about Fallout 1. That's a huge map for each with nothing in between map destinations but some random encounters
I think Fallout 4: Project Arroyo is exactly what you're looking for. It's not finished though
Whatever lighting or graphics mod you're using that thumbnail looked so clean
Literally what I thought too. Honors the faces of characters. Would like to know which mod it is
@@captainstrangiato961 bro pls😢
me too
kind weird that they reference the protagonists of f1 and f2 as ''a wanderer'' and ''a private'' like aren't these two kind legendary?
I'm not saying it's intentional but the default answer would be they are only legendary by word of mouth, so inconsistencies are the fault of the one retelling it
Nobody really knows the full story of either character. Unless you were one of the people who followed them throughout the story, it wouldn't be immediately obvious that any of the events in their lives were connected. Marcus and John Cassidy would probably be the only two who know the Chosen One the most, but all of the Vault Dweller's companions died in the attack on the Cathedral.
Yeah they even made an entire statue dedicated for the Vault Dweller. Then again 100 years is long enough to make them forgotten even by the elders.
Johnson has no way of knowing that the guy being lectured by Dornan was the Chosen One, in a normal playthrough you most likely will grab the Vertibird plans and FOB and the you are done with the place. My bet is most of the Chosen One's deeds are mostly forgotten or were never known in the first place, outside of things like blowing up the Oil Rig since a lot of people in Chicago saw the Tanker leave port and the flash from the explosion afterwards
@@gastono8179 you mean a porn star comes to your house, kill the family's cow and then brings down one of the biggest factions around and you're still calling him ''a stranger''
Marcus is the only super mutant that is handsome looking and one of the super mutants that retained his intelligence
About half of them retained their inteligence, some even got smarter... you actually meet more smart than dumb mutants in 1 and 2. Nightkin got crazy later but many of them are quite inteligent.
Little known detail, the name Fallout: New Vegas is a reference to every previous Fallout game.
How?
@@redstonegaming7969 8 shaared characters in the same place. Its a very niche easter egg.
@@redstonegaming7969 read the first word of the title :V
@@pain3236 I have no clue what you're talking about
@@unnanointedonesufi Fallout: New Vegas contains the word Fallout, this is a nice easter egg because Fallout 1 and 2 also contains the word Fallout.
That is literally Pains point.
I know i'm very late but i absolutely love how your new vegas looks, its so much brighter and looks a lot smoother
In the scene of the Fallout tv show, in the parking lot of the Vault Tech when Coop drops his wife off at work, I remember seeing a Highwayman car in the background
im playing fallout 2 right now
thanks to this amazing video
Love that the cannonish ending for FO2 has the Wrights as the remaining leading original family in New Reno. Pretty much every playthrough in FO2 I'd end up absolutely cleansing New Reno of the other 3 families and leaving the Wrights intact, since they were pretty reasonable people. Usually start with Sal, Mordino, then Bishop, after sleeping with his daughter and wife ofc
Mariposa in Spanish means butterfly.
I always wondered if they named it that way on purpose. I never thought about it until years later. Great video!
Arroyo was named after the spanish word for a dry creek bed, so it wouldn't surprise me
Thank you for these videos. I wish I could give you a tip, Production is amazing. =D
The master is easily one of the scariest villains in Fallout. Love the series. I've been playing even since the Fallout 1 demo from an old Jazz Jackrabbit CD.
The Master is one of the most compelling villains in fiction period. He encapsulates how grotesque, sad, and bleak Sci Fi can get. It's some shit Harlan Ellison would think of.
Oh wow I’m early! I love your videos, and I look forward to agh and every single one!!! :) One of the best FNV content creators!
The Plasma Caster and Plasma Defender are modeled after the original Plasma Rifle and Plasma Pistol designs apparently
The fact that Cannibal Johnson was there during probably the most quoted scene in fallout 2 is hilarious. Seeing the player (chosen one) get chewed out for not being in uniform by the drill Sargent would have been hilarious.
I think the fight with Orion Moreno is definitely a callback to the Frank Horrigan boss battle. The way it’s set up instantly reminded me of fighting Frank.
the smitty special is a reference to smitty who upgrades your plasma rifle
And reference within reference 3:36 is definitely referencing Butch telling you to aim for the eyes when fighting the Deathclaw.
I'm pretty sure Follower of the Apocalypse have some reference to F1. In itself they are reference to F1.
It's good to see the junk town jerkey vender mentioned. That book made me smile, at least after finding the fallout 1 quest. Used to ask my freinds, "do you know the secret of the junk town jerkey vender?"
What is your ENB, dude?
Losing your wife and unborn child is hard, I know.
But just think about watching your god die, your creator, a beings whos voice you could hear over every distance. Gone.
I'd also add the number of returning weapons that aren't in any of the Bethesda games, and weapon variants that are just "Laser Rifle but the one from Fallout 1&2", so on and so forth.
@10:30 tandi was in fallout one as well, a young woman in shady sands
Theres a random NCR sergeant you come across in Primm, he mentions he comes from The Hub. Weirdly, i was only able to get the voice line out of him once.
It is cool how Enclave at the point of F2 could provide Power Armors to even privates.
Daisy is so badass, verbally reminiscing about the good old days at the same time as sipping her drink.
In many ways, Fallout New Vegas is more of a sequel to the original Falout game to 3 and 4
Man, super mutant in existence is a reference to Fallout 1 & 2
I absolutely love that they reused some of the music from the old games.
I myself got to get a reference of Markus in Jacob's town both him inside the game (he was from fallout 2) and also the reference of the chosen one in the dialogue.
Your game looks so amazing what mods are you using? Great video btw
do you know the enb he uses
Idk if anyone notice this but if you use any chems exception of Stimpack near Cass, she will tell the courier that she hate that since her father having weak heart condition.
Based on the hint from Daisy Whitman in Novac you can assume she was Enclave. I'm gonna guess she's one of the Enclave members you meet with Arcade later. I never did that mission.
AND they managed to add this stuff with their massive time constraints
Harold the old ghoul with the tree growing out of his skull is from both the fallout 1 and 2 games he is found in fallout 3 when he finally becomes a tree that is a big part of the fallout series
also I can't really understand how Harold came road almost as far as Kellogg did
Just beat fallout 1 and am playing fallout 2 right now. Fitting video
Wonderful video
Great work
I kinda wonder why no ones made any videos of classic fallout references in Fallout 3...I mean other than Harold and The Enclave. I cant think of any other callbacks
Your New Vegas looks amazing
Wayne hearing the word Lieutenant isn't an Easter egg referencing a super mutant, it's an NCR soldier quite literally calling another Lieutenant. The group was attacked by NCR soldiers in response to Pacer and a group of Kings attacking NCR coming to speak to the King after settlers in Freeside were getting restless because the NCR wouldn't pass out supplies to people who weren't apart of the NCR. I am now editing this because my dumbass didn't watch enough. It's an Easter egg because he says Lou, my bad.
What visual filters is he using in this game? it looks beautiful!
4:22 why does the Vertibird look bigger than the ones in the sequels.
pixel texture in a nutshell
They were bigger. They could fit a whole verti assault squad.
Fallout 5 needs to be in the west so we can references to New Vegas characters. Imagine hearing about the courier by NPCs or over the Radio.
for me fallout new vegas is real fallout 3, an the 3 is like a spinoff, don't miss understood, I like both games, but it is great to have lot of references from past games
Looks nice. What are these graphic mods
hey bro what is the background son in your video? Thanks!
Can please someone tell me what's the enhancement mod used here, I can't find it for months 😭
also there was that dead guy somewhere in the caves (cant remember wich one exactly) of the Divide, with the leather on body mentioning city of Hubb and ex wife of the guy who cheated him with some trader
The Doc Henry in Jacobstown is an Enclave Remnant in hiding, and is unrelated to the Dr. Henry in Fallout 2’s events
This was fallout 3 for me. New Vegas was the perfect send off for the Fallout franchise.
how did you get the textures so nice? the resolution also looks improved. it this some mod?
Also
The daughter of mister bishop might actually be the grand daughter of the chosen one!
If not definitely the grand daughter of the chosen one
I hope we see more Chosen one offsprings in the future. It'd be cool if the next installment is by Obby and they make another west coast Fallout and we're down in Southern California now or something and we get to meet someone named Bishop and turns out Bishop's an explorer too and can become your companion.
Then throughout Bishops companion quest and dialogue, Bishop mentions being born in New Reno or something to a lineage of mob bosses who used to run the casinos.
its also implied that no-bark noonan in novac *is* the chosen one from fallout 2
That Gun is a reference to the .223 pistol in fallout and fallout 2, according to the wiki
Your NV looks so good. What mods are you running?
what mods are used in this footage? Looks nice
Great video. Also are you using any mods? Its looks very clean.
The OG Super Mutants were so cool
Tandi is the girl vault dweller saves in fallout 1?
I think it’s definitely the same Tandi. The official New Vegas guide says she lived to the age of 103, which is insane to me considering how she was just a normal human living in the wasteland.
@@Zonedoutallthetime ı watched her fallout 2 dialogues so yeah pretty much the same tandi. Holy f i didnt know she died at 103 tho that s insane
I'm fully with the theory that No-Bark Noonan is the Chosen One
What visual mods are you using for New Vegas?
