I'm from Belton! I've shopped at Cochran, Blair & Potts, eaten at Miller's and the Gin. This was really fascinating for me. Learned a lot of things about the places I've been to. Thanks, Chet!

Did you know that lake Belton has to keep a water flow into the Leon river because Temple TX gets it's water supply from the river.

Hi Chet. I'm 46 and from Georgetown although I live in Austin. However, you should visit Temple and specifically Little River Academy and Wilson's Valley. It's one of the most beautiful places on earth and it holds a very special place in my heart. Over 3 generations of my Dad's family are buried in the cemetery there. And for the record, I'm 7th generation on my Mom's side. My 5th great grandfather was not in the old 300 but the next group of settlers. Yes, I love Texas as much as you :)

@18.34. That view is exactly why you should go to Little River Academy and Wilson Valleybut it's even more scooped

Oh boy! Another place I've passed by on I-35 (though we did stop for breakfast tacos there on the outskirts once on the way to Waco, never been downtown nor knew there was one). Yee hah!! I'm loving this channel! Subscribing!
