GuD work dude .. I have the same model, with 2 Back doors extra lying in my store, in case if it gets rusted, as you said, "Rust is Frustrating" ... I agree with that. Cleaning the Upper rubber seat was GuD . Though I washed that but never tried with a spray like you did .. I'll do that the next morning .... In'Sha'Allah ..
You should also mention for the Viewers to clean the bottom two holes on sides of the door, to keep them open in case water should'nt deposit in case of rain or washing . Thats the most Important factor to prevent from rust ... You have keep the Surf in GuD condition ... Thumbs Up.

Good content as always! I already did most of this on my 4Runner, however I gotta dissamble it too next time, because my metal rails, that hold the window, are rusted good now. I bought new ones and will replace them. However, the most annoying and interesting thing is the big spring. Mine is somewhat rusted and just lubracation did not help. It doesnt move smoothly and makes noises while moving. Maybe I can use some rust convertor on it? The whole back window is super important to maintain right and in good condition.

Yeah all you can do is try right? On that spring? Maybe keep an eye out for a replacement just in case? Man rust is so frustrating.

Great. My 92 needs some of this maintenance. Have your replaced your rear speakers. Looking at mine, seems like a lot of trim must be removed to access the speakers. Harbor freight!

Yeah I've put it off for the same reason haha. It's a lot of plastic to remove. I think having a box of new trim clips on hand is the wise thing to do when it comes time.

Do you know where the rear defrost wires are only thing in Mine that doesn’t work! Guy replaced glass before I bought it.

Good question, and I don't I'd have to find a wiring diagram or open it all up again

Two wires are on the right side of the Glass, with two Thimbles ( Joints ) which your workman must had forgotten to plug. Changing the glass is a tiring process, your workman must had been tired in the process for setting the timings of the motor etc.
What you need is, to go to him again, tell him to open the panel and simply attach ( Plug in ) the wires for defrosting.
