Thanks for that feedback Hunter, it was an oversight. For the consumer reports article: www.consumerreports.org/health/food-contaminants/produce-without-pesticides-a5260230325/ For the datasets: www.ams.usda.gov/datasets/pdp
Gardening in Pennsylvania is very easy! I have lived all over and the easiest place to grow was PA. I have lived in Arizona...forget about it! Alabama was the second easiest place to grow. Arkansas...oh my goodness, drought, shale-filled red clay is impossible. Raised beds are the only way to grow much in the rocky Ozarks of Arkansas. Many vegetables must be grown under a tent of landscape fabric to protect them from excessive heat...100+ degrees for 30 days. I will complete the "A" states after I move to Alaska! 😁
I think that improving the soil quality if you are growing would be the goal I would aim for. The amount of nutrients starts being lost at the moment you cut the veggie/fruit. We have tutorials on companion plants that feed the soil that are a great place to start.

Thanks for that perspective! Definitely each gardener deals with challenges. Thanks for the insight!
If the local soil is poor, you will get more nutrients if you buy produce grown in another county or state with better soil.
