Hey Dreeds I just bought FFX for the Nintendo Switch and really wanted to win my first game and was struggling! Your video has made it a lot easier to understand and I will try to win tomorrow! Thank you again for the awesome content!
I didn't play any blitzball until I reached the airship, as that is where you can recruit wakka and brother, who probably one of the best recruits you make. Also you can monitor nimrooks contract and if he resigns with the psyches you can always look for jamal. Ropp is a really good defender you can pick up early
If you’re playing blitzball right after you finish Luca story segment. Turn around from the high road and return to Luca. There’s a chest half way down the stairs. Keep following the path till you’re at the courtyard. Recruit the guy on the bench. His name is Jumal and he has 16 CA stat. Play him as your goalie and it will become a lot easier for you to level your squad and win. Also talk to the guard to the right of the stairwell that leads to the stadium seats. His name is Wedge and you can recruit him to your team. For early game he is the best shooter available. I play him as RF and Tidus as LF. Lastly, if you are recruiting now, you might want to consider Zev Ronso he stands next to one of the docks. He has high EN stat and is good at moving the ball through defenders until you can get it to your shooters. I have him as MF. You can only have 8 on a team at a time. I dropped Keepa, since he’s the worst player in the league.
If you want to play blitzball after the first match, just recuit weedge and jumal, you can beat all team, just make sure weedge level up faster and you can score at al bhed, you also can recuit ropp and rev ronzo if you want good defender
Great vid Dreeds. I'm new to your channel and needed a good guide for blitzball. While there are others I really enjoyed this one more, even won my first game finally lol. Starter team sucks Datto is the fastest player though. Just something to consider. If you want to copy a players technique mark the player which skills turn blue. Once done you can hit "B" on xbox or "O" on PS
You might only lack more practice and experience. I started playing FFX in maybe September of 2023, and I'm already beating even the Al Bheds quite consistently.
I'm even beating the Al Bheds fairly consistently at this point, but I guess I'm just torturing myself. I'm almost at the temple in Macalania, which is far too early to be grinding this shit, ain't it?

How do you teach your goalie key techniques in blitz ball?
My strat is super simple. Have a mf with high speed and decent pass. Draw everyone deep then pass to my open shooter. Score from point-blank

This blitzball is hard. I been playing final fantasy x since playstation 2 and playing it now on Xbox one and I still can't get how it works.
