Grats, blitzball champion. All hail the Datto-ing Ram!
I always dread the moment when I play the mandatory Blitzball game in the main story, but find myself having fun playing Blitzball afterwards.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a small indie project dedicated to creating a more dynamic and balanced Blitzball-like game.
Well... Blitzball reminds me a lot of S4League touchdown gamemode... BUT its nothing a like ...
I always wondered wtf were the developers thinking. They make the first game of Blitzball so obnoxious and poor taste. Virtually no one wants to play after.

Only having one game-changing player on the enemy team is already a nightmare sometimes, mad props for getting past this madness.
Berk, I would enjoy a commentary playthrough of World of Final Fantasy. It has classic turn-based RPG and unique stacking system.

I remember that whenever I was trying to tech copy any shooting techniques, I would deliberately try to loose the ball to the strikers but they would keep passing the ball instead of shooting it, especially when in front of the goal. The AI is just really weird in blitzball...

This was straight out of a sports anime. Super overconfident team of all stars fuck around, then find out by losing to an overperforming scrub team. Botta surviving a tackle came in clutch. Maybe we can even say that Keepa intimidated the attackers with his manly swagger?

4:40 can someone explain to me why this is considered a bug? Isn't Brother just deciding to shoot instead of take the tackle same as a player can? Makes sense since Jassu is more likely to succeed with the tackle, or am I missing the point entirely?
ommmfg i thought she was gonna shoot at the end there! with 12 seconds left i think it would have gotten there literally one second too late because the animation of shooting takes like 4 seconds and to travel that far in 8 seconds i dont think woulda made it god damn!

In my experience the A.I will not shoot if they are very close to goal pretty often, it's pretty weird. I couldn't do a challenge like this the RNG would make my head explode.

I'm a bit confused about the No Break thing. You can always decide how many opponents you let break through your defence. So when you have low EN, it can make sense to try and pass or shoot past them instead. Is the AI not supposed to do that?
Brother has low EN but high SH, so I think the AI decides that he has a better chance of scoring a goal against Keepa's 5 CA even after Jassu and Letty's 5 BL, than he has of keeping the ball if he lets Jassu break through.
The more I play blitz ball the more I hate it.
I have brother on my team and the ronso’s are so slow but when I get by the goal 3 or 4 of them block me.
When another team gets close to my goal total un guarded.

Dansg08 is the first person to ever use marking not for grinding in the history of FFX.
Mark mode is the only way to play imo, anything else is throwing

the stupidest thing I've seen AI do is shoot with players with 1 in front of my goal. (I have Miyu as a goalkeeper with 16 saves), even Keepa with 5 saves would be able to stop a defender like Judda who tries to shoot! 😂
Also in blitzball math don't math... someone when they inserted math into blitzball, surely whoever did the calculations had dyscalculia... Sometimes it happens to me that goalkeepers draw the shot, even if it reaches the goal with the type being even or 1 higher than the goalkeeper's save...

I only played ffx to play blitzball. This side game was so much better than the main game in my eyes.
Wow....that was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣...you pretty much won 1 nil because of the shot RNG and the stupidity of the CPU....why couldn't the developers improve blitzball in the remasters..... Would've been a lot more fun to play.....either way congrats 👏👏
tbh, id say brothers overrated, hes got speed, but his END is scuff against good defs, id you make kyou mid, and use zalitz as 2nd def, that will be a hard one, zalitz is low END, but the team your play sucks for att so doesnt matter
