My advice is to avoid no one buys a Breton Long style house in France , That style of gas cooker in France takes a gas bottle on one side, This is a classic case of someone thats brought a style of house that they cannot resell. Are you cash ready to buy anything, You will have to be on the ground and look with local French estate agents thats where the bargains will be, As a French Family we would be spending close to 80,000 Euros on home in the area, merci
Thanks...really interesting comments...am relisting my property for sale in Jan to enable cash purchase. You're not the Jean from JB Houses by any chance?
@@badseedbrighton46 No I am not that person but I own property in France and know the market and the UK market and a registered landlord. So been through the whole buying process in France and how to apply for the long-stay visa etc
Needs new kitchen 'first ' and explanation of how it is heated? I see an electric heater in one bedroom making me wonder if it is cold? The fireplace does need inspection before purchased, as it could be dangerous. Maybe wook stove needs to be placed inside of it not sure?. It is a nice home as far as living room, and the area is nice, and flowers outside are perfect. Hydrangeas are easy to manage and these colors are perfect! Could use another railing on stairs , for safety, but a buyer can do this . Think the price would be just right, if all of this is done ,and the well water, is tested or known to have 'enough water ' and 'good water; running into the home>> and heat is intact, and kitchen more modern, It has been brought up alot and am surue they have done much work, but it is true what one person said , "a downstaris bathroom or half of one anyway, could be used too ,or needed really". But perhaps someone who knows how to do carpentry work or has time, will be able to do this, not sure? Perhaps while doing kitchen they could find an area where plumbing can go in and at least find a way ths can be put in? All must have heat, and the fireplace alone may not be enough and hard at night to keep it it going! So need a 'secondary type of heat really.' But there might be something Ii do not know about? Other than this , it really could be a very, very nice home! I woud say right now , price should be lowered a bit, to sell if anyone is to finish it up, and especially the kitchen,( though it should be done ahead, in order for anyone to have it 'move in ready at all. ' ) We all need heat sources and kitchens and baths. (at least one, but having something downstairs making it much easier to manage life) Hard to run up and downstairs, especially with small children, to use bathroom, But do love outside and the whole look ot it and think it coud be a very perfect home. A Forever home, once ready to go. TY for showing this! Ignore anyone who is saying neative or cruel thigns. It is one thing to be honest, and trying to help with the whole process, but another to be mean. Some people are not capable of being kind to anyone, not even to themselves. Best to ignore them, and to 'block' them if possible!
Hi Badseed, This property is cute but too small, even for a couple. Ceilings too low (luminosity during rainy days ?), kitchen non fonctionnal, no bath in the bathroom (OMG !) and be careful with your head in the bedrooms. The only positive point is the size of the garden. You've shown us better than this one 😉 Wish you a nice week !

I watch many TH-camrs who experience people with nasty thoughts and comments, they all agree to just ignore. I love the bedroom sizes. :)
Your comment of kindness. 🪞
Nice to meet you Brighton!
I'm your newest fan!

I love this, it's just the right size for me, I'm single and retired. But I'm interested in the south of France.
Hi Edward...a few people have requested other areas than those I prefer...I'll see what I can find. 👍
Very nice property at a good price. All it needs is a new kitchen.
I wish there was a ½ bath on the ground floor, but I am sure one could be put in. I liked it.
Love it.
That fireplace is in dangerous need of a chimney inspection.
Love your laid back pace. Isn't that a feature of retiring to France?
Thank you...exactly what you say.

Thank you...Great comments...l think I counted 2 electric heaters...meant to mention in the video.
Can a person build a new home and use this one as a vacation home?
@maryfrump7937 Hi there...do you mean on the same plot? I think the only way you would answer that is by speaking to the relevant authority. 👍
Bad kitchen

@AmieAnge you're absolutely right...not a lot of quality out there at present...which is maybe how this one slipped through quality control.
