Im playing at ps5 and currenly lv 243.. i think SoP end game is better than elden ring.. in elden ring after i finish the game, the only thing u can do is pvp or ng+.. no more new equipment.. in SoP after u finish the game, u can still farm new gear and job lv.. its nioh game with final fantasy style.. love it..

Sorry but for a NEXT gen full price game I like when it is optimal quality I played the demo on serie s and it was worse than when I played cyberpunk on ps4 lol at some place it. Looks good just a little blurry but sometimes it Literally looks like ps2 textures and quality lol. And it's not the consoles problem because it can runs more demanding games a lot better

i feel the exact same way. im also 37 and grew up in all console eras. kinda fell out of playing a lot of games besides counter strike or dota for a generation or two. to me I can play dark souls 1 and be amazed by the graphics. lot of games 2013 plus all look good to me

I love this game. Don't care for story, much rather have amazing gameplay! If I could choose one thing to change would be different attack patterns for similar jobs. If for example ronin and samurai whilst using a katana had different attack animations I'd be super happy
I mean. Technically you can if you change the combos. And certain artifact weapons add additional skills to use.
But I agree. I love the game and I am currently making preset builds based on characters from previous titles.

You have to be more precise with your attacks but landing those charge attacks is oddly satisfying. 😄

I noticed no one really talks about the things that made it grow on me - super subtle notes and nods to past final fantasies through music and levels (I noticed during the wetlands level a couple of ff13 specific riffs/notes and thats when i started paying a lot more attention)... The beginning of the game is so freaking 😂🤯😂 dumb until you start piecing things together.

Very love it. I play very easy to upgrade then when it's done. Play chaos level and after finding the perfect build as you like, increase your stuffs. Very good game but, it's not a Nioh as all possibilities as stats. People are confuse between but DLC will be good I beleive because there is a continent unexplored.

I just got this game right after completing final fantasy 2 pixel remaster, And just coming off the Resident Evil for remake. I never was That into a lot of the real time final fantasy games aside from final fantasy 15, But the combat in this game is quite satisfying to a certain degree. It takes some getting used to the speed and how much is on screen that you have to pay attention to at all times, But once you get used to it and start getting better gear training together moves is quite enjoyable. And the bosses in this game are a nice change of pace because they are really difficult compared to the rest of the content. I do know about the end In game of the game, But since I am not going to comment on that aspect. It may not be the best final fantasy I have played as I'm still partial to the pixel games and to final fantasy 15, But as an action RPG final fantasy I think it really holds up. It takes some getting used to yes But it is worth playing at least once. It also helps that it is pretty much linear so it's bite sized missions Helps Because you can play if you quit and then return in a later date. And I can only think of a few final fantasy games that are rated mature, This being the only one I have played aside from final fantasy type 0 which try the action RPG The side of things and while it was fun I could never get into that 1.

@@mo_musashi_284 Yes I have, And have completed it twenty times. Beat the game with fiss only, The worst sword in the game, No Pawn, And with no armor. Dogma is my favorite RPG To this day. Without that game I would not have Been into the genre as I am now. Even if I don't play it nearly as much now, I'm hoping the sequel or rather glorified remake, Will bring me back to it. Because a more modernized version of dogma would be perfect.

It suffers from the same problem as Nioh. There’s to much loot. I had almost 400 pieces of gear after 6 hours in the demo.
That's like saying the problem with Tom Clancy Divisions is that there's too much loot. Both this and the Nioh games are basically the equivalent of looter-shooter for action games. It's an intended core feature and many people play and love the game for that.
@@unrealsimon93 I love looters but there is such a thing as an excessive amount of loot. Especially, when there’s no option to leave it on the ground a la Diablo/Borderlands. The Division/Ghost Recon BP have a lot of loot but it isn’t as much/tedious to deal with as Nioh/SoP. Team Ninja create wonderful combat but go overboard with the gear aspect.
You can change how much loot you actually pick up in the settings.
@@dikardvondoom3574 oh I see what you mean, and yeah I guess they could make improve the inventory management aspect a bit more and also curtail a bit on what drops and the frequency. For Nioh 2, I usually don't mind since I can just donate or dismantle the loots for other goodies.
@@unrealsimon93 In The Division it takes well over 20 to 30 hours to get 500 loot, in FF SOP it takes about 6 which comparatively is a very short amount of time. Now an easy fix for this is an auto dismantle feature which dismantles lower quality lower level gear.

The last few years have been an incredible time to be a final fantasy fan. Remake, stranger of paradise, FF16, Rebirth, crisis core, Endwalker and Dawntrail... all absolutely fabulous games. Plus the fact that the FF trading card game has grown so much and become the greatest TCG ever created imho. It's nearly impossible for me not to be a huge fanboy 😂

LMAO if you played any previous Team Ninja game this wouldn't have been a surprise...Combat from the Ninja Gaiden and Nioh franchises are miles ahead of the Ubisoft mediocrities.

I watched multiple videos before and after I canceled my pre order to make sure that this was a game I wanted to pay full price for. It's a 10 dollar game and that's what I'll pay if I ever see it at that price randomly when I'm looking through game sales.

It can be both similar to how Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta can be but it can be just as satisfying as those games as well. If you use commands and changing jobs per occasion you can make bosses much easier.

Thought I'd try this game out as it seems like a game I'd like (don't care for story). Sadly on my PC version I have an issue where everything is blurry and anti-ailising isn't a thing at all, so many jaggies specially in that wheat field. It kinda feels like the game is at a very low resolution, but I have maxed out all the setting and have used the nvidia control panel, to no avail :(

Same had to refund because on pc far too blurry also if you choose prioritize fps on pc that is a dynamic resolution slider that will try to reach the FPS cap that you are targetting so thats why it looks even blurrier with that setting on but yeah pc port is trash and not worth it right now. Combat is a lot of fun and has some depth though so definitely a game thats worth to buy just not right now and not for that amount of money at least on pc.

the combat and the class system in the game is effing on point, better then Nioh 2 combat or Wo-Long. End game is also like diablo, very fun and easy to sink tons of hours. The only thing lacking is dungeon diversity and a good story.

If you are playing on Normal or higher button mashing is ill-advised. This is more comparable to Nioh. Hell, even on Easy (casual mode off) button mashing can get you killed.
Try playing the game at high difficulty then try button mashing and see the result

Managed to get it early and beat it in 2 days, as a long time FF fan i say dont buy this for the story or else you'll be disappointed if you're getting it for the combat tho then you'll have a good time unless you're on PC i heard the port was garbage.
2 days this new gen are playing fast! I got a thing for example in AC valhalla all the shiny stuff got my attention or something else there's ppl who plat valhalla in 50 hrs " or so they said " and I guess it is possible with ppl not sleeping and all , but the platinum in valhalla is like an exception to the rule in Ac games because you got to do everything! Well compketionist all the way! And on this gane of gargantuan proportions idk how ppl do it so fast! And yes 50hrs is freaking fast! Going back to stranger in paradise did you sleep? And what difficulty are you on?
Do I think they could of done better? Definetly. Do I think its the best game of 2022? Not by a long shot. Is it even worth the full price? For me it was. While I got some hours out and had fun, I honestly got bored rather quickly. I payed for it with no remorse cuz i like team ninja and their work since Nioh 1 and while I didnt love this one I wish they can give more. It kinda sucks becuase I thought this was a pivotal moment for team ninja to show what they could do with a big name IP. My main critics:
Bland and uninspired level design, no real sense of exploration or even reason to check each side area since all content is just immedeatly outleveled by the next higher level area drops. Sense of progression is diluted with bloat of items that while may have lots of different stats, for the most part it comes down to pressing "auto-equip" and moving on. The job trees create an illusion of depth but the more classes you unlock the more you realize how shallow they are with some having completly useless gimmicks (ninja) and other jobs with almost nothing to them to warrant changing to them. Combat, while it felt good sometimes, at other momemts justs felt unesesarily janky and unpolished.
It's just like Nioh except it lacks good level design, good atmosphere, good characters, rewarding builds, items, and balanced difficulty. If Nioh is a 9 this is a 6 at best. Really disappointed with this.
Nioh is junk too. Best to let the companies go bankrupt. They suck at making games.
Rewarding builds come in the end game. You can spell spam with the Red Mage job, the chaosbringer command and regen all your MP from the Black Mage affinity until the mobs or boss is dead.

This game I tried to like it I really did…… but it’s horrid I mean absolutely terrible. Square Enix screwed up bad by allowing Team Ninja to touch their game.
1. The game is a mission based instanced game you know the type of game we all played 10-15 years ago the games that aren’t fun these days!
2. The characters while designed to look nice have no and I mean no personality except Ash.
3. The games story is so convoluted that it makes absolutely no sense it’s far from what anyone would except from a FInal Fantasy game.
4. They class it as an Action RPG there is no RPG element to the game none.
5. NO OPEN WORLD what in the absolute hell were you thinking?
6. The amount of times you’ll hear the word Chaos shouted by the protagonist makes you think the whole story was written by a 8 year old. I’m not joking.
7. You will not like any of the characters as they are all forgettable.
8. I’ve nothing left this game is crap.
Square Enix needs to just fire that entire team behind the game. They also need to pull the Final Fantasy portion of the title off as this isn’t Final Fantasy in the slightest. Shame to as I paid for the Deluxe Edition and tried my best to enjoy it. Ended up refunding the game which Microsoft still honored after 8 hours of playtime.

Bad ? No sir not bad at it put simply it’s not a Final Fantasy realm game. I’m fine with the fact that’s it’s action combat I’m not fine with the mission system and terrible story. Anyone who actually plays final fantasy games play them for the fun of the game and equally the story.
I’ve played all the souls games, Niohs, and plenty other action combat games to completion. Definitely not bad at this game and actually think the combat is it’s only high point.

1, 4, 5, and 6 show you are completely unaware of what kind of game this is, that there are different types of RPGs and that this game was never marketed or advertised as the kind of game you wanted. None of those are actual problems with the game. You should have played the demo or done at least the minimum amount of research before buying a game. It's not the game's fault, you bought it blindly and didn't like the type of game it was. I agree with the other complaints (except the characters because the main character is god damn badass) but you shouldn't have bought the game before knowing what it was in the first place. The Job and loot systems are the RPG elements by the way, and add a lot of variation. I'm guessing you have never played this type of RPG before and just don't like it, because the gameplay and RPG parts are solid. Next time, do your research.
Also, a game about the origins of the first Final Fantasy, and a Job system with 28 classes isn't Final Fantasy enough? You blindly bought this game and blame the game for your lack of due diligence.
