My cousin who committed suicide a few years back introduced me to Atmosphere and I will be eternally grateful, it even lead me to the likes of greats like Eyedea.. but he was never able to listen to this album.. Slug really comes through with some deep meaningful lyrics here and I’d like to think my man Branden is bumping this song and Virgo among others while he’s up there above the clouds where infinite skills create miracles😪 RIP B. Biggie's music was about dancing and club music (tho I love it and still as good, thoughtful songs) and Tupac proved over and over he had something to say and wanted everyone to hear it. Yeah I'm 25 so I have fun with a lot of the crazier stuff coming out these days (Denzel Curry, Flatbush Zombies, BROCKHAMPTON, what have you...) but I can tell that I'll probably get tired of all that as I age. Atmosphere has such laid back production and contemplative lyrics that I feel it'll always be there for me.

I wake up to a text from my ex & it's a link to this. It makes me sad because atmosphere is what really made us get together. We love atmosphere I remember freaking out when he told me he was into them. There's certain songs that remind me of him so much, ones I know he loves. When I'd get mad at him I'd listen to atmosphere to help me cool off, same with when I would be sad. & just yesterday we broke up.. I'll be listening to atmosphere on repeat until I fall asleep & wake up hoping this broken heart was all a dream.
