You might appreciate this. My mom in her 70s got obscessed with music. 3 years or so of evrrything the cello player, country, queen, disturbed, johnny cash, miley cyrus blond remake etc. One morning is was shocked out of my sleep. She died that day. I went to go pack up my house she lived in. Answer message. I called, friend on answer was a psychic medium. Said she was loving the music.....and died at 4 am and passed through me to say good bye. Said the music was amazing there.

I have no memory of her but I do have videos and pictures and that makes me happy. All my life i aimed to make my dad proud but at the same time I was so lost and scared of losing him that I never had the courage to talk to him about life after he’s gone... he also never got to see me graduate high school and that thought never went away either 😞 I miss you dad. Dear Robert Miles,
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the masterpiece that is Children. This composition has deeply touched millions of listeners, including myself, and has left an indelible mark on electronic music and our souls. The way you blend melancholy with hope through those delicate chords and the unique harmony you create is a gift to humanity. Every time it plays, you transport us to an emotional state that only music can achieve, evoking nostalgia, calm, and reflection.
The greatness of Children lies in its simplicity and power, a perfect balance that remains as fresh and relevant even after all these years. The impact it has had on our musical culture and how we perceive electronic music is immense. You have gifted us with something that is still alive, and for all this, thank you.
Your legacy lives on, Robert. Thank you for sharing with the world such a beautiful and moving piece.
    With gratitude and admiration, Fran.

@@Mobiusu2b That is a pretty ignorant way to think. i'm a millennial and I like this. Zoomers, boomers, and looners can like the same things believe it or not. Classifying groups as a certain way just makes your life full of hate. Try relaxing a bit and realize that everyone is their own person, and grouping is just a shitty way to go through life.

The song is from 1995. I've known it since the Dream Version in 1996. A great masterpiece that reminds me of a wonderful time in my youth. All of us here who hear the song today still have that spirit inside us - let's live it, every day. They don't want that, but we can. Even today. It's not a hobby to do it, no, the world needs it!

This track brings back so many memories. It's good to be alive. I'm an old crumbly now so can't go clubbing. It's a case of the spirit is willing but my body says "sod off". You don't need drugs to enjoy music, the music is the drug.

      Erik.
This is copied & paste from Wiki. It shows both reason are right my friend 😃🖖
Miles gave two inspirations for the writing of "Children". One was as a response to photographs of child Yugoslav war victims that his father had brought home from a humanitarian mission in the former Yugoslavia;[4] and the other, inspired by his career as a DJ, was to create a track to end DJ sets, intended to calm rave attendants prior to their driving home as a means to reduce car accident deaths.[1] The song cost £150 to record.[5]

I heard this in 1996 and it was the only song I would repeat on my walkman. I would go out to the woods alone listening to this and I was in my own world of dreams. Listening to this now as an adult, and a very cynical goth, I am weeping. I am braught back to those moments, where my spirit took flight on winds of Heaven, and it still does when I hear this. Its a part of my own secret haven, and it is my own.
