I'm always amazed by the AFL industry and how in spite of their millions and commitment to technology and improvement, they still cannot manage facilities at press conferences to allow the viewers to properly hear the questions being asked. The question is every bit as important as the answer. Lift your game EFC and be a leader in this.

Should have been Adem Yze as he is the future with potential high celing like Craig McCrae and John Longmuir and also given the fact he did the so called process from the very beginning 3 weeks ago. Collingwood and Fremantle have clearly shown this past season that if you want a truly bright future that eventually puts into the Premiership contending window, then you to bring in a seasoned Assistant Coach with new ideas. Nonetheless best case scenario is Brad Scott does a similar job to Paul Roos at Melbourne and completely resets the clubs culture going forward with the Finals loss drought broken along the way and continuing draft solid young talent in key positions. Its not a bad appointment by any means but I genuielly believe the much better candidate was there from the start. Time will tell. But I fear the club is going to be made to look really stupid when Yze eventually gets a top job (probably at North Melbourne or Brisbane at this point along with Jaymie Graham) and ends becoming the next great Coach of the future along with McCrae and Longmuir. Best of luck to him because he will desperately need it.

Ross The Boss unfortunately didn't want to go through a long process because of what happened at Fremantle. He wanted to be given the job up front, and only on he's terms. Essendon would've found out exactly what went on at Fremantle to cause a out of payment settlement to an ex staffer. The process that went on was done properly, especially when Solomon, Yze have all publically noted online and thanked the EFC on the process that had taken place.

The way I look at it is like this one will never know until you give it a go it did not work with Knights, Hird, and Rutten but we know that History has shown that when we make the same mistakes over and over again than no lessons have been learnt, Knights, Hird, and Rutten all had no Coaching history at all at top level so why would anyone go for another untried coach just to follow the same patten ,Brad Scott has spent a lot of time at the top level 9 years at North and 3 at AFL level give the guy a chance before taken cheap shots at him before the 2023 season has even started and don't Judge the guy even after 12 months of footy all supporters must stop living in the past and stop thinking it takes only an Essendon Person like James Hird to get the best out of this side the club needs to move on If Sheedy is so keen on James Hird than they can start their own football club on their own and the rest of us get on with life
