Im always intrigued by the comments that North missed on Martin, Kelly, DeGoey & Gaff. If they left and went to another club then yes they missed out on them but they all stayed with their own clubs so not only could North not entice them away, nobody could!! Its very hard to prise good players away from their home clubs
A Victim of his own stupidity. Sacking Brent Harvey who Champion Data Rated as North Melbourne's 2nd best player the year he was sacked. He also sacked Wells, Petrie, Dal Santo and Firrito. All so he could use the were only young line. We will be better in two years time. The board believed his story about being better in two years time well it is now 2.5 years later and North have not improved they have gotten far far worse.
What happened with Harvey was bloody criminal (and probably jealousy tinged if post game interviews around the time are anything to go by). Heartbreaking act and I'm not even a North fan.
Noone seems to be mentioning the possibility that it wasnt NMs side that leaked it, it was obviously going to happen at or after the bye, however few seem to be noting that two sides knew about the agreement, from what i heard Norths side were not happy this was released and it was agreed for a few weeks time, 'Brad wanted to leave on his terms' - whos to say he didnt? Neither side have said they didnt or did leak it, i doubt anyone will know who actually caused it except who wrote it and the one that leaked it. Ultimately on the back of poor results; a Proven history of stubbornness, poor tactics and refusal to adapt, is anyone surprised he was sacked? Would have been an absolute joke for him to continue coaching, hes hardly the only problem - another is Brads friend Cam Joyce - hes as big of a problem. Any of Carecella; Burns, Mitchell as a future coach would be a good pick, with a strong more expérienced backroom staff. Needs opposite of Brad - flexible coaching style, tactically on the ball not ten yards behind and a reactionary coach, and holding players to standard. Hardly a hitjob - a mediocre coach at best, 2 prelims with a list that was hardly poor, the list now is put together by Scott so you cant use the list as an excuse why hes struggling - hes ultimately responsible and has rightly been held to account and sacked.
No results? Only 1 season where they finished lower than 10th spot, and 2 prelim finals, I'm not one to wear rose tinted glasses but I think you should rethink your comment.

North is still going downhill post Brad scott, to make matters worse, they lose out on harley reid cause some genius coach decided to win the last game in 2023 not resting anyone and lose out on generational talent lol.
