Solid work! the only thing I would suggest is that with future mic tests to be in the same environment to really see difference between the two.

I'm getting my QC 45 tomorrow I'm so excited!
    UPDATE:
After testing them for about a week, I can say that I’m super happy that I got them. The comfort is the same as the 35’s (fantastic), the sound quality is definitely improved over the 35 II and the noise cancellation is also improved. I also really like the new aware mode, it works pretty well not as good as the AirPods Pro/Max but it’s pretty useful. So overall they’re super good, the only thing that’s a bit annoying is that you can’t disable or turn down the noise cancellation, but there has only been one instance where it could has used it, but that can be improved with updates.

Thanks for comparing these so quickly! It's awesome to hear opinions on them so soon after release.
Though, in the future, I'd say if you're going to do a comparison test between two devices, test in the same environment.
A busy street isn't really comparable to a highway and might have affected the results of your test.

I had the first edition of the Sony headphones. Then bought the xm3's after trialling them for a month and then trialling the bose 35's for a month. The Sonys were slightly better due to Bluetooth range and i liked the controls. 2 weeks ago the dog ate my most recent pair. I am going to buy the new bose 45's. The reason is simple, i loved the touch controls on the sonys. Then i realised they were really, really annoying. You cannot wear a hood when it rains or use them in the gym. The music turns off or skips everytime you brush them. I need good old buttons. Period

@@denuk2003 yea when you sweat a lot the motion sensor inside the left cup deactivates so if you take it out the music will still be playing unlike if it’s working, the music will stop when you take them off. I had the sonys and they are just not comfortable on my head. I do weight lifting and when doing certain lifts my shoulder will touch the headphones and change the song, etc. Not only that but they get super hot on my head that I have to take them off.
I had enough of that and got the QC 45. Super comfortable where I can wear them for hour's. I enjoy the sound profile more as well. The physical buttons work great as I can't hit them when working out.

Ive had the Sony xm4 for about 8 months now and they just aren’t for me unfortunately . They’re not comfortable for really long listening sessions , i work remote and have had clients complain about the mic quality often. The app is really cool but found myself turning off a lot of the features because they are just annoying specifically speak to chat. Bluetooth connectivity isn’t the smoothest for me either I’ve noticed with iPhones it takes a bit to connect after turning on the headset. Overall cool headset but just not for me

@@anabosnic5503 I've had my QC 35's since 2016 and have replaced the earcups twice (with cheap, off-brand replacements from amazon). I live in a tropical island and I use them a lot for when I'm doing work around the house so I sweat a lot with them and heat breaks down things faster, so that's why I've replaced them more often than you. With that said, the current earpads are still perfect after nearly 2 years of use, which beats by a mile the longevity of the OEM ones (which got MUCH lighter use because they were still new so I didn't use them if I was gonna sweat). Anyway to answer your first question, my headband's leather also pealed away like the headbands do after a while, specially near the edges, where they have virtually no leather left. There is still leather in the middle of the headband, but it's cracked and you can tell it's falling off. It isn't prone to leaving pieces stuck on my hair or fingers though, so it's definitely peeling off at a very slow rate. The Alcantara part on the bottom of the headband though, is still absolutely perfect without any cracks or damage. What I DO have is an issue where the headphones turn themselves on even if the switch is set to off, so sometimes I go to my headset and it has no juice. There is no fix for this. It's had the issue for maybe a year now, although there are times where it doesn't do it for an extended period of time. It's an intermittent problem.

I can't tell you anything about the bose. However, I've been using the sony wh-1000xm4 's almost all day every day for the last 10 months. I will say that they have developed a high pitch squeal in the left ear cup when the noise cancellation is on. This problem started yesterday. I cleaned them and it didn't help. I have not talked to sony about it yet, so hopefully it's something simple to fix. The other thing is that I wear glasses. After wearing them for long periods of time like I do, it does hurt my ears where the cups and glasses meet. Other than that, they have been great.

I have Bose sound system and older headphones and they do sound more full 360 degrees in terms of sound in comparison to some Sony’s or Sennheisers. - Bluetooth problems (maybe only QC35?)
    - Worse mic than the QC35
    - No option to disable ANC

    WH-1000XM4:
    - Very hot ears, I plan to use the headphones for 8 hours/day so it's an big issue
    - Heavier than the Bose ones
    - Extreme discomfort for better music
    - No aptX and aptX HD support, whatever that means

You shouldn't buy this first version. I did in 2017 and since then, I had a lot of troubles with ANC going worse over the time, my headphones turning on by themselves and draining battery life... I don't know if the QC 35 ii have the same issues but don't go for the first version, even if they are at a lower price.

I can't stand touch interface, I want buttons when I am out in freezing cold. Touch interface sucks when one is out in the elements or have to use it through gloves.
I never had any issues finding the right button on the QC 35. I also need them to be lighter, I run ultra long distances while listening to audiobooks and you can't have anymore weight on your head when it is going to be there for hours. So for me QC 45 wins hands down, the only question is if it is lighter than QC35 II, if not QC 35 II is nice bargain given that it should cost a lot less since 45s are out now.

I would go for the BOSE myself, knowing that it is more than a 100$ difference even when the SONY’s are at sale, they wouldn’t go that far

From my memory of using the senns, the ear cups are the smallest of the 3 brands. The active noise cancellation was also behind the bose and the sony. I love their 800S but the noise cancelling headphones need a major redo.

@@jasonsequiquiquiqui1277 That I don't remember specifically, but everybody praises the sony for the sound quality side of things. I really feel the senn pxc isn't that great unless you can find it for fairly cheap. Doesn't it still use micro usb unless they had a recent refresh?
