      @@yungluluu Jordan recorded over 100 blocks & 200 steals that season (only ever been done 3x in the history of the league) while averaging 35ppg. That’s just insane to me. He won scoring title, steals title, DPOY, MVP, All Star MVP, slam dunk contest (though Nique should have won) and recorded the first ever back to back 50+ points in a playoff series (1st round games 1 & 2 vs Cavs). All in one season lol. Not to mention he provided a tonne of jaw dropping highlights.

    To be honest MJ should be an MVP in 89 too, his averaged 32.5 ppg, .538 fg%, 8 rpg, 8 apg, 2.9 spg.
    His stats in 90 is also amazing with 33.6 ppg .526 fg%, 6.9 rpg, 6.6 apg, leading in steal with 2.8 spg and pushed the champion bad boys Pistons to 7 games in Eastern Finals..

    • @dazdavis7896
      @dazdavis7896 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Magic won it fair and Square in ‘89…. But ‘90?? Jordan ONCE again led the league on BOTH sides of the ball scoring and steals and Magic did not lead the league in a SINGLE category. And the Bulls went much deeper into the playoffs than they did either way. He was blatantly robbed in ‘90 and ‘93. He did the same thing in ‘93, led the league on both sides of the ball for the THIRD time. Scoring and steals. He put up better numbers in ‘90 and ‘93 than he did in both his 2 MVP seasons between there. He absolutely should have had 4 straight from ‘90 to ‘93 without any sort of debate. There wasn’t a bigger MVP robbing than MJ in 1990. And 1993 is a close second.

    • @dazdavis7896
      @dazdavis7896 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I’d take 1990. Athletic peak, SKILL peak. Peak everything circa 1990. He did everything he did this season in ‘90 but wasn’t awarded for it like he was in ‘88. He was Blatantly robbed of the MVP by a Magic Johnson that did not lead the league in one single category, yet MJ led in both scoring AND steals yet again. And once again had 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season. Still the only player to ever do so and he did it more than once. I’d take MJ from 1990 in the AJ V’s over any player at any point in history. Mike circa 1990 would beat the Mike of ‘88. Easily. That is when he actually CHOSE to add the 3 to his arsenal and shot almost 38% from deep that year. He had the whole package by 1990.

    I’m here to watch GOAT plays for my pair of white cement 3’s reimagined. Didn’t imagine how many epic clinics the shoe was associated with. I love your Jordan content and how you categorized jordan’s highlights with the shoe he was wearing. Now I’m into watching the Bred 4’s next as I’m planning to cop those reimagined pair as well. your videos make me fall in love more with the shoes. I was born in 1986 and got to know MJ till 1996 where I became his solid fan that used to buy/collect those trading cards back in the day. Jordan is a huge part in my life and owning some of his retro shoes brings so much nostalgia. it seems he was playing way above his airness during 1988-1993, that made me reconsider his sneakers that he used during that era. The one dunk, that, seems to get shown (not here, though.🤷🏾‍♂️ He was wearing the 3s.🤔) but overlooked as a really incredible dunk was MJ freezing Rex Chapman, blowing by him, jumping over and dunking hard on Kelly Tripucka. The way Jordan set up the double move, while on the move, never breaking his stride was incredible. Maybe people aren't noticing the significance of the play because it happens too fast. I challenge you guys to go back, watch it at regular and slow-mo speed, then tell me its not one of the best Jordan and NBA dunks ever.

      None..48” vertical off one or two feet which no player is that versatile. Runs a 4.3 40 there’s no combo of that and he can jump right left left right which nobody in today’s game can do consistently. His footwork and balance and coordination are better than any player today. There’s really no comparison and like Hakeem says MJ a a far superior player than today’s best. He had no weakness not even shooting. Free throws OVER. 80% and 50% from the field. He is the definition of a basketball player fundamentally ,mentally and skill set. Zero flaws.

    Fun fact: Mike had a higher scoring average in the IIs but had a much higher FG% in the IIIs.
    My opinion but I felt like the IIIs were significant in that they represent the first ‘modern’ shoe. At the time most players are wearing heavy high tops and here comes Mike schooling everyone. I wore the IIIs and loved them, felt like they were better for perimeter play. Today’s shoes are better padded and lighter but not drastically different.
