There are plenty of great Magneto scenes, there is one line in particular that really stood out to me, the line "I've been at the mercy of men just following orders, never again". I felt that scene really solidified who and what Magneto is.

In Apocalypse he is allowing himself to be controlled by Apocalypse through his pain/grief. When Raven and Quicksilver confront him they make him access those memories/feelings with Her and Charles ( also there is a deleted scene where he realises that Quicksilver is his son at that moment too which they should have left in ) He then breaks free from Apocalypse when the xmen are all defeated and stands against Apocalypse as their protector! In Dark Phoenix his rage/grief from losing Raven is the worst it’s ever been but he now encounters another more powerful than him who is also fuelled by rage and pain! On the train he not only once again balances his pain of losing Raven with the memory of her and what she stood for protecting mutants to reach that point of serenity but he sees that Jean has the same fight within her! He steps up as the protector of the xmen again while Charles convinces Jean not to let her anger control her too and that the point of Serenity will unlock her true strength! Which it did! Well I’ve totally rambled on for ages now! I’m pretty drunk! Lastly my favourite Magneto power scene is when he lifts the submarine out the water in First Class! It’s fuckin EPIC!

Scenes like Auschwitz are amazing for other reasons too. It's the realization of what true power is by the other mutants when they first witness what Magneto can do. It must have been frightening, very intimidating, scary even, to be standing there watching him. I imagine it was a very similar experience for the youngsters after witnessing the aftermath of Wolverine getting loose, pure terror.
Fassbender is the best Magneto. His evolution throughout the films, controlling his power through emotion, then being able to control every ounce of metal in the world with barely any effort. He always went back and forth between being in control or being angry or sad. He's such an underrated villain in comic book movie history. Fassbender has one of the best portrayals of all time

His escape from the plastic prison (with an assist from Mystique) in X2 and his Nazi-killing scene in First Class should have made the list. McKellan and Fassbender are both world-class actors, love their work portraying this character.

Magneto is such a complex character with so much depth and charisma . Considering his family was killed during the holocaust, it’s no wonder why he he takes the stance that he does. He truly is a product of his environment. Magneto is such a Badass character who’s been wronged and warped by the evils of man, that it’s hard not to root for him from time to time. Out of all the comic book villains who’ve been on the silver screen, Magneto probably has the best character development and story arch. His feats of incredible strength and power are just too damn cool! Personally though I don’t think the film makers will ever be able to top him lifting the Golden Gate Bridge and transporting all of his Brotherhood of Mutants to Alcatraz Island!

Erik held his own against a cosmic entity for a minute and manage to overpower a fraction of its power. He is an Omega level mutant. He is a badass.

I kind of wish they kept some of these retcons. not a lot. but magneto lifting a bridge, storm being as strong as she is. Xaviers reach of his power. if they were all leveled up by apocalypse then im ok with it.
