I never felt Fox did the X-Men any justice, I could never get into the characters/movies. I’m so excited to see the depth the MCU is going to give them.

he does not need a solo movie. he needs an x men movie that is focused on him. even if he gets himself a solo movie, it ends with everything being tied back to his team. he is the real heart and soul of the story.
Praveen Loganathan I agree, the MCU has to put the X-MEN in Cyclops’ leadership. That’s why is he so beloved in comics. The Fox films gave that to Logan.
Hand to hand, bouncing beams off of surfaces like Cap with his shield etc. I have faith in the MCU because so far, the fight choreography has been top notch.
People seem to forget that even though Storm,Cyclops,& Phoenix are all very powerful,in the films no one upstages Wolverine.everyone after that is just window dressing.
He did have his hand to hand combat in the movies .. but it was sadly one scene. Cyclops beat the fuck out of two security guards in X2 United when they kidnapped Xavier but Deathstrike caught him off guard.
A movie centered on Cyclops' leadership and struggles, as well as exploring the personalities and interactions of the other members would make for a perfect X-Men movie. It's time we finally get one as it is long overdue.
Number one rule if you want to make cyclops look great,.....make his beam thick. Just like in the comics, its a big and wide optic beam that looks menacing. Not those thin tiny beams we got in the movies.

The best moment in all these movies is in X3 the last stand, the conversation between Scott and Logan that ends with "we don't all heal as fast as you" Cyclops was well cast each time but unfortunately never truly written or directed well, the closest is possibly Dark Phoenix, I was so glad the movie focused on him at least a little bit
What I hold against the films is how narrow they make the optic blasts when Scott has the visor off. Any true Cyclops fan knows that when the visor comes off, Scott’s entire field of vision gets blasted.
You missed the part in X-Men Dark Phoenix where he did the bank shot when they were fighting Mags team on the street. I almost jump off my seat seeing him doing the bank shot in the big screen for the first time. Hoping to see more of that particular skill of him when he is finally introduced in the MCU.
Henry Cavill will hopefully give Cyclops the tactical brilliance,hand-to- hand combat scenes,& raw optical versatility in the reboots- if he's pegged to play him.James Marsden made a good Cyclops,but his potrayel didn't show no stratigic brilliance or hand to hand.Cyclops is a master fighter.

When you realize James Marsden was underused as Cyclops and probably re-wrote the significance of his character in LOGAN because he supposedly wrote the X-Men comics within the Movies plot.
Cyclops is one of my very favorite X-men and I hated how bratty he came across in the original trilogy. Here’s hoping they get him right when he joins the MCU

Cyclops,s beam does not generate any heat ( like superman,s heat vision ) rather it produces concussive force , large amounts of force , which can tear metal , slice objects etc but it never leaves a fiery trail behind like superman,s heat vision would .

Cyclops needs to lead ice man, Angel,beast,Jean aka miss Marvel, as well as Rogue,Storm,Gambit, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and wolverine against the Sentinels. Show them go against them off guard close to the beginning of the film then big finally huge fight scene. Cyclops goes ham on the sentinels.

You mixed Telepathy with telekinesis. Not even an x-man can use the ability to read minds to move an object. Telekinesis however, would definitely work.
