This was their very first music video. It's ten years old! They have compiled a whole bunch of songs, gotta be pushing 150 tracks by now. They are also a killer live act.
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
Welcome, Sohum. You are embarking on (along with many others - nearly 220 million views just on their official YT channel, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (144 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 80 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: th-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/w-d-xo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, The One, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! (from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html) And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYUJI concerts: 2023 Yokohama 10th Year Anniversary Concert “Endless Story” th-cam.com/video/Za1y-RRVd70/w-d-xo.html ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” th-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/w-d-xo.html Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” th-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/w-d-xo.html Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 33 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 33 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. Namaste Sohum. Everything from pop/punk to metal, but generally hard rock and sometimes acoustic. Kanami, the lead guitarist composes the music and Miku (Red rose) writes the lyrics generally. Their music has been used in a number of anime's. Great reaction- Thanks (UK).
@@Sohum It has to be said: this wasn't composed by the girls. It took them a couple of albums before the record company gave them an "all clear". Kanami had been writing some songs a couple of years before Band-Maid was formed, but none were considered good enough. But her "crush" (long story), Saiki on lead vocals did encourage her not to give up, so she kept on until she wrote "Alone" which just as this song is one of their benchmarks. "Alone" was the first song they wrote that got released on an album. "Thrill" got a special place for the maids. At the time it was released, their label was about to drop them. For many bands it's a deathknel. Once you're dropped it's quite hard to get a new contract. Then a facebook channel that is oriented around Japanese music suddenly shared this video, and in just a few weeks it had reached 1 million views. Continue the road ahead? You might take a look at their last releases. They now famous live performance of "Hate?" from Yokohama arena(?). Other one is considered a masterpiece by many. "Blooming" is a wild mix of punk, hard-rock, progressive... There are live versions, but feel they lack some of the impact compared to the studio-version. Which is brilliant!
If you ask 10 B-M fans to name their 10 favorite songs and you’ll likely get 10 very different lists with perhaps 60% overlapping favorites. I’m not quite a diehard B-M fan yet, getting there mind you and my top 10 has been changing depending on my mood of the moment. An amazing band. The best part is, some of their best songs often take a few listening to appreciate due to their interesting compositions and those usually are the ones that stay with you.
Band Maid, they are really their own genre. The more you go through their catalog you will see the variety. Any of their Live vids are excellent - Domination, Play, I Still Seek Revenge, Youth - the list goes on for over 100 songs.
Just starting you BandMaid reactions with this one. You want groove listen to their song Freezer. I only know of the audio version tho. Blown away by these ladies 💪🏼
Welcome to Band Maid !!!!!! Really enjoyed your review. Get ready for the most active fan base out there. This was their first ever video and it's 11 years old. If you want to see how they sound now check out Shambles MV or their incredible LIVE performance of Real Existence. You have no idea what you have stepped into...this band has literally gotten me back into music again and I feel they are the best CURRENT rock band on the planet. These are all classically trained musicians at the top of their game. I know it sounds like alot of hype...but keep listening and you will be absolutely amazed !!!!
Band Maid baby pictures 🤘🏽 The video that launched World Domination 🌍 There are dozens of different paths to take because the Maids cannot be pigeonholed into a genre. Pop, punk, hard rock, metal, progressive and more. Sometimes blended in the same song. The first live video that got traction for the band was “Real Existence” I would encourage that one for your second serving. Welcome to the world of the Maid
A huge milestone marker in Band-Maid history. As some have mentioned, this was their 1st MV, which was a little milestone on its own, but this is the MV which saved the Band. Management wanted them to do the A side of the single, "Ai to Jōnetsu no Matador". The Maids chose to do "Thrill", which is the "harder rock" song between the two. This was a make or break moment for the Maids. They found out later, if this MV didn't gain traction, Management would end the project. Luckily, it was posted on a book of faces account which promoted music from Japan and the song went viral. Millions of international views in a very short time. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Welcome to Band Maid. The MAIDIACS will tell you many things about this great band. Now it's time for a great live song. There are so many, but I recently came back to PLAY (live) Just try it. ❤
Perfect introduction song to the best band on this planet. I was introduced to Band-Maid with this song and your JOURNEY has just started, welcome to the Maidiacs, Masters and Princesses. I’ve seen the legends of Rock from the 70’s and 80’s (Rush, Led Zeppelin, etc…) and thought the best of Rock was behind us but I was wrong. The best of Rock just moved to Japan….And I mean the best ever!! I LOVE BAND MAID❤❤. Great reaction, try “moratorium”, “hate?”, “onset” or just pull up any song in their catalog. You won’t be disappointed.
Yeah me too, first song recommended to me. I would say Hard Rock with Pop and metal influences. Thing about this band is how GOOD they are LIVE . Try "Domination Live" Official clip. And also "Hate?" and "Don't You Tell Me", both from their 10 year anniversary show at Yokohama Arena. You may only play their studio clips once, but their live clips hundreds of times. Yes, they are that good live !
A few of Bnad-Maid's harder edge songs are Rinne, No God, and Moratorium. Band-Maid is stunning when playing live. A couple of songs from their 10th Anniversary Tour which were filmed at Yokohama Arena are Hate and Don't You Tell Me. Both songs feature guitar vs bass duels. You need to watch them both at some point.
Welcome to Band-Maid, the best progressive hard rock band on the planet. You have also now attracted the attention of the Maidiacs, the very, very loyal fandom of Band-Maid. If you like rock music, you have found the holy grail. Diving deeper into the pigeon hole (all will be explained in the fullness of time) will enrich your life. Great reaction! New sub here. Peace and good rockin' from the land of Oz ... 🤘🤘

BAND-MAID love to experiment in different genres, but home base is Hard Rock. They can be progressive, but more in terms of songwriting structure rather than just throwing in weird time signatures. They can thrash, they can power ballad, they can high octane anime opener, they can do blazing instrumentals, or laid back acoustic fan appreciation tunes. They've grown so much from this video - heck, in this video Miku didn't even know how to play that guitar around her neck, and today she's a solid rhythm guitarist. And the power trio - they were good here, but they're absolutely fantastic today. Such a great band.
They are a ROCK band and internationally famous. They have been touring the US and Europe since 2016. ROLLING STONE's review of Band Maid's performance at the 2023 Lollapalooza festival. Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. Fluctuating between hard rock, aughts nu-metal, and pop rock, each member of the quintet is a virtuoso in her own right with more than a decade of practice in Band-Maid alone. They lured curious onlookers into the fold when highlights like “Domination” and “Don’t You Tell Me” got huge reactions from the crowd, but it was the bass solo-versus-guitar solo duels mid-song that got the biggest cheers. This is what those guys in Guitar Center think their ridiculous riffing sounds like. Turns out it’s done best, and most effortlessly, by women in black-and-white maid dresses and frilly hair-pieces as they smile ear to ear. -N.C. NEXT: the standard first play - "Domination" live.
Welcome to the "Pigeon Hole"! Here's a guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje. I highly recommend the documentaries! They've been together since 2013.
This video saved Band-Maid from being disbanded by their management. This was ten years ago, and they've only gotten better, and they recently bought out their management, Yes, Pop-Metal, jazz fusion, prog rock, classic rock, pop-punk, anime themes, speed metal, folk metal, and whatever the Maids want to try their hand at, is a genre that's been described as Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. Their compositions range from emo ballads to prog rock to hard rock. Try: "From Now On", "Puzzle" (Tokyo Garden Theater), "HATE?", "Daydreaming", "The one". Band-Maid is unlike any other act on the planet. They love to experiment with re-writing their hard rock songs as acoustic pieces, or transforming songs into Japanese folk metal with lyrics rewritten in old Kyoto Geisha dialect. This band does things no other band thinks about doing: they'll try anything once. And they are an incredible live act, touring constantly. I've seen them live twice, and they are very entertaining and engaging.
Indian metal? Try Bloodywood :) Although, TBH, it's the only band I know. Band-Maid however are on another level for me, especially the music after this that they wrote themselves. Very detailed but ultimately catchy and fun. What hard rock music should be. (Bass solo? Almost every song. Including guitar/bass battles)
New sub here. You stand upon the precipice of either falling in love with BandMaid or getting distracted and thinking they are just another band. They're not. They are arguably the greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century. Hyperbole is very difficult to avoid with BandMaid so screw it. I envy you so much. There is so much wonderful music,, tears and laughter ahead of you if you keep listening. There's no way to describe here why all the things they do combine to create the music. Tons of riffs - enough to make an album for most bands in one song. More hooks than grandad's tackle box. Genre bending writing and performances. In damn near every song a sing along bit for the fans to keep us engaged. Word play between English and Japanese homophones is not uncommon. Deep collaboration between all members to allow everyone to shine. What they have done is harness their egos in service to the song. Akane Hirose and MISA are IMHO the greatest rhythm section currently active in rock music. Truly inventive bass and drumming - not over played but always interesting with unusual choices that make the songs rich. They're not just keeping a beat EVER! Magnificent composition and stellar guitar work from Kanami Tono and equally magnificent vocals from Saiki Atsumi grab us by the ears. Then There's Miku Kobato- no Miku no BandMaid. Founder, chief lyricist, vocal harmonies sung while playing rhythm guitar she is the backbone of this group. She's the lead singer who fired herself so that the lead singer would have a more rock and roll voice. She's the singer who learned to play guitar while in the band. A paid professional learning her instrument on the fly. Now she has her own signature model of Zematis electric guitar. She willed BandMaid into existence. I haven't even begun to say all I could. Come and see for yourself!
Don't view them as a metal band, they're not, although they have their moments. They are groove rock at heart, but easily cross genres. This is a very early, simple song that they didn't write, their later, self written stuff is complex and satisfying on so many levels.
Watch HATE? live from Yokohama Arena and wear a helmet. This is the video that saved the band from being dropped by management a decade ago. They're so much better now it's amazing. If you want something straight heavy watch the MV of RINNE. They can play any genre, watch the MV of INFLUENCER if you want a really good example of that as it will take you all over in a good way. If you want to watch the bass really go off watch NO GOD live. Misa is an incredible bass player. If you watch and listen long enough you'll realize everything they do is good. Have a great time going down the pigeon hole (you'll understand that later).
Welcome to Band Maid pigeon hole. So much good music in form of you. Don't be shy to listen the official Live video you gonna be amazed. Have fun and enjoy their incredible talent.
Great reaction and analysis, Sohum, I'm instantly subbed! Looking forward to you reacting to more Band-Maid! Looking forward to you continuing to be surprised by their music as you go down the pigeon hole! 😄
If you continue with them, you'll find that their rhythms and phrasing will take you to unexpected places every time. They also don't believe in genre. They've picked up all the loose ends of rock to weave their magic.

i'm happy for you finding out about the Maids. thanks for reacting
from japan check out Nemophila, and from mexico The Warning. The Warning did a colab with band maid not to long ago! But yeah Band Maid is my fav band ever!
Nice reaction to Band-Maid's "Thrill". This extraordinary group of five stellar musicians has a very large international following and they have had their same original lineup since their inception some 11 years ago. Their live stage performances are incredible as shown in their official live concert at the Yokohama Areana of a year ago where Band-Maid's highly recommended song "Hate?" was performed. Other great live performances would be the official live versions of "Domination", "Freedom" and "Puzzle" for starters. They also have some great MV instrumentals such as "Onset" and "Without Holding Back." They have an amazingly large catalog of great songs so you really can't go wrong in reacting to any one of them. Cheers!
Great reaction and the reason you think you've heard that one phrase in the ending section is because Band-Maid's music is so pervasive that it's in the ether and seeps into our dreaming state. Also, nice comments about the band; they call themselves "An impossibly hard rocking maid band". The maid outfits create what you commented on, the "Gap", what you see compared to what you hear, they did that on purpose. Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid and you're journey will be long and fruitful.
Band Maid🎀is hands down, my favorite band on earth, but I also love Tommy heavenly6. You might checkout the music videos for: I'm gonna scream, Pray, Wait till I can dream, or Swear. Also pretty much anything by The Brilliant Green.😸like, Enemy!
Band Maid is frequently hard rock with poppy choruses, a funky bass, often pop punk leanings, but with brilliant guitar solos and metal drums. They are very talented and can do any genre they choose, and practically everything they've produced sounds good to great (insanely great, most fans would say!). For fairly heavy stuff I'd recommend Warning (the video called Warning, not necessarily the collaboration with the Warning, although that's fun too) or Shambles, or if you want to see how fast and heavy they can play, Rinne (Reincarnation) or Black Hole (which is very chaotic). Live favorites that show off their skill are Hate? official live and Domination official live, and probably I'd add Play official live as well, and Freedom official live too if you want an extended drum solo. Also the instrumental From Now On is amazing. For more on the pop side I really like Blooming, Choose Me, Dice, Don't You Tell Me, or their second video ever Real Existence which is another banger and still sounds good today (or there's a live version of it that's even better than the MV). Also Alone, which was the first song composed entirely by the band, it appeared on their third release Brand New Maid. Almost everything since then has been written by them. But you can hardly go wrong with anything by them, it's all good! ^_^
I suggest trying a Live Performance BAND-MAID video, like "Real Existence" (and older one, and a great introduction to their stage style), or "HATE?" (a new one, with plenty of bass solo for you). For a music video, I suggest the "Blooming" MV, a personal favorite. There's some other bands you might run into, if you want some Japanese metal. Maximum the Hormone, for the classics. "A.L.I.E.N." MV if you are brave, "Hungry Pride" MV if you want just a straight fastball of who they are. Lovebites for power metal and thrash, and utter virtuosity on the two lead guitars---try "Set the World on Fire" LIVE Performance. And, try HANABIE. for something you haven't heard before---try "We Love Sweets" MV or "Be the GAL" MV. If you want some experimental rock and funk, try Gacharic Spin. "Mindset". Of these, I've caught BAND-MAID and HANABIE., for live shows. Astounding. BAND-MAID was the bbest show I've ever attended. And HANABIE. are even bigger and more awesome in real life than in their videos. Thanks for the great reaction! For any of the songs I've listed, I can pretty much guarantee another great reaction for you.

Sohum: Welcome to the amazing music of BAND-MAID! An impossibly hard rocking maid band! This song barely scratches the surface of BAND-MAID’S musical talents. If you want to jump straight into the deep end, check out “from now on” “ONSET” and “Without holding back” - all instrumentals. Normally you want to hear the live recordings (they are awesome!) but I prefer the music video to “From now on.” Other amazing songs include: The Non-Fiction Days (MV) Real Existance (live) MANNERS (MV or live) DOMINATION (live) Don’t you tell ME (live) And any one of dozens of their songs. The Maidiacs will show you the way! Thanks for checking out our MAIDS! And Hello from Dallas! Loved your review! More BAND-MAID please!
Nice reaction, thanks for putting it up. People generally recommend reacting to their live videos (and they're not wrong about that being a great route), but it might be interesting for you to jump straight from this one, their first video, to Forbidden Tale, which is their most recent.
You ain’t seen nothing yet. BAND-MAID are my favorite band since Led Zeppeln (and Metallica). They are full of surprises. Try a live performance next: DOMINATION, 14th February 2020. Actually, BAND-MAID have done a lot of anime commissions (six?).
Good job noticing that it is not on the one... There is a video on a Chennai called 12 tone. And he talks about Metallica Enter Sandman... and explains the theory behind the not on the one concept and why it is used.
There is some interest in rock/metal in India. I'm no expert but here are a few connections I vae stumbled across. Are you aware of the Indian metal band Bloodywood? Also, the Japanese rock/metal band Koiai performed at the Oddball festival in New Delhi which is a rock festival. Then there interest in India from outside. The Japanese metal/idol band Babymetal have a song "Shanti, shanti, shanti" an Indian inspired Japanese J-pop and metal fusion song. Sanskrit came to Japan via Buddhism long ago.
Since you mentioned your Indian heritage, one of the bands you mentioned, Babymetal, does have an Indian-influenced song called "Shanti Shanti Shanti" from their third album. If you decide to check it out, I'd recommend the newer version from the channel For The Fox God rather than the one from their official channel. Another Japanese group, Nemophila, has a song called "Hypnosis" and the music has a Middle Eastern/Indian feel to it (I'm not the expert on telling them apart). Lastly, there's a band called Bloodywood.
Not metal, but hard rock -- with touches of pop punk, funk, blues, jazz, etc. The genre is ... Band-Maid. But this was written by someone else. Wait until you listen to songs (and instrumentals) written by the lead guitarist, with the bassist and drummer beefing up their parts, and the singers writing the lyrics. Everyone will recommend "Hate?" -- an intense breakup song with a top bass and guitar duel. This song ("Thrill") was their oldest music video -- and the video that saved their band. The management was going to fold them up ... until this went viral and they got a following outside Japan. They haven't looked back. Eight years later they are a much more mature band, and still growing in range. Oh, and they have done a number of anime intros and outros.
Sohum , Welcome to BAND-MAID enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole , BAND-MAID is an incredibly Hard Rock Maid band , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , BAND-MAID has 5 song for anime`s , besides a whole bunch of other great stuff , like , Domination official live video , Hate ? official live video , Dice official Music video .
Well this is not Japanese but it is Pop Metal... Do Def Leppard Hysteria... the title song to one of the best Albums ever..... And also highly recommend Whitednake Here I go Again.
This is “training wheels” Band Maid. Great song, but it gets so much better! They are so much more than a “metal band”, or a “rock band”. You’ll find out…
for the most part BAND MAID falls into the hard rock category with a bit of punk alt. and metal thrown in. and after 11 years of existence their catalog is huge with over 150 songs to keep you busy for a long time to come. it's the first japanese girl group i discovered in 2016 and i have all of their recordings. for the metal goddesses you really need to check out LOVEBITES. almost 8 years in for them and they are THE best live metal band i've seen in 71 years on the planet. here is a link to their official mv for the live performance of 'holy war'. NOT a cover of MEGADETH'S 'holy wars'. this is a band you will not want to miss with an insane vocalist and 2 lead guitarists that are the best duo in 30 years or more. NOT kidding ! here it is : th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html
Hey, I'll enjoy checking your channel...Maids, Deep Purple, Rush and not just rock. As you mentioned "pop metal"...do you get the resemblance in the chorus between this Thrill and MJ's Thriller. Pretty cool 👍
To me Band Maid's more like Hard Rock. They're like Van Halen... and rock a little harder with great hooks, riffs, and song dynamics, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi is more Pop Metal... and now I'm done dating myself!
not Pop-Metal but let me suggest Japanese Pop-Rock/Pop-punk and SCANDAL - here is one of their newer song "Highlight no Naka de Bokura Zutto" (we are always in the highlights) th-cam.com/video/YbPeoYlmxBE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
By George, you've done a right fine job...er... putting it in a nutshell,as it were.
This video is 10 years old now, their very first Music video. This is just the start of the journey.
(from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html)
And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.
A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

Will be flying into Tokyo to see both Haneda shows. My first time seeing the Maids live! Woo Freaking Hoo!!!! 🤘🤘🙌🙌💕💕
@@bradmenpes809 No kidding? Man, are you guys in for an incredible show -- one, I'm sure, you'll never forget! I've been to many concerts with the biggest bands of the day, and the Maid's remain the best! 🤘😉🎀

The best Hard Rock band in the world!!! Welcome!
Thanks for sharing the info, I love their style
@@andreaspedersen3952I'll vote for a live version of Play, Real Existence or Moratorium. I am not a fan of Hate though!😅
Imagine 2000 people in a theater shouting "Hey!" back at the band.
4000
@@bertg2779 Depends on where you see them. Most of the US tour was 2000ish venues like House of Blues.
Breakin' new gate, millions of people were sucked into the pigeonhole with those three words, then crawled out, as full-fledged Maidiacs.😸Like me!
Just starting you BandMaid reactions with this one. You want groove listen to their song Freezer. I only know of the audio version tho. Blown away by these ladies 💪🏼
Welcome to Band Maid !!!!!! Really enjoyed your review. Get ready for the most active fan base out there. This was their first ever video

Real Existence. You have no idea what you have stepped into...this band has literally gotten me back into music again and I feel they
are the best CURRENT rock band on the planet. These are all classically trained musicians at the top of their game. I know it sounds
like alot of hype...but keep listening and you will be absolutely amazed !!!!
I've got to add Band-Maid is the gateway drug to Japanese rock/Metal artist DOMINATED by bad ass women artist ❤
Bro you ain't seen nothing yet...Band Maid #1
Best live band on the planet right now...AMAZING musicians all of them. Top tier on their instruments.
For harder song go watch Rinne, Unleashed!!!!, Influencer, Black Hole. They play all types for music. From punk to funk to ballads. They are a force.
Band Maid baby pictures 🤘🏽 The video that launched World Domination 🌍
There are dozens of different paths to take because the Maids cannot be pigeonholed into a genre. Pop, punk, hard rock, metal, progressive and more. Sometimes blended in the same song.
The first live video that got traction for the band was “Real Existence” I would encourage that one for your second serving.
Welcome to the world of the Maid
I can also recommend "Real Existence" but try the live version, it's way better than the OMV! 😅
PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Band Maid! 🍺🎃🤘🏻🕊️
Welcome to Band Maid. The MAIDIACS will tell you many things about this great band.
Now it's time for a great live song. There are so many, but I recently came back to

I love Metal, but Band Maid just kind of caught me. Love them! 🎸🤘
Love that, they’re a wonder
Welcome to the Unseen World that leads to World Domination. You have discovered the best live rock band on the planet. All praise, TinyHat-san!
The best and greatest hard rock band alive today. Maybe forever..
My 58 years of experience listening to rock and metal agrees with this!
"it's not typical" BAND MAID summed up in 3 words. well done! may i suggest "From Now On" mv

These are baby Maids. Try MORATORIUM OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO FROM ZEPP TOKYO 😊
Good pick ❤
They are rock and roll guardian angels and the best hard rock band on this planet🤘Keep an eye on them!!

They are a ROCK band and internationally famous. They have been touring the US and Europe since 2016.
ROLLING STONE's review of Band Maid's performance at the 2023 Lollapalooza festival.
Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame
There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that.
This was ten years ago, and they've only gotten better, and they recently bought out their management,
Yes, Pop-Metal, jazz fusion, prog rock, classic rock, pop-punk, anime themes, speed metal, folk metal, and whatever the Maids want to try their hand at, is a genre that's been described as Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things.
You'll get a headache trying to label them into a genre. I like to think their genre is "Cool Music"
Band-Maid is fantastic, my favorite band for many years. Please check out more, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for sharing your reaction.

Really enjoyed your reaction and breakdown…. This video saved them from being disbanded. These girls have leveled up…. I think you’ll enjoy”Hate?”
I don't care what genre other bands and singers fit into, but the one and only Band Made is the best.
Thanks for reacting to the greatest band in the world! You've only scratched the surface of their awesomeness.

Welcome to Band-Maid!!! Thanks and have a good day!!!
Welcome to Band-Maid Sohum! ❤️💛💚💙💜
Normally you want to hear the live recordings (they are awesome!) but I prefer the music video to “From now on.”
Other amazing songs include:
The Non-Fiction Days (MV)
Real Existance (live)
MANNERS (MV or live)
DOMINATION (live)
Don’t you tell ME (live)
And any one of dozens of their songs.
🕊️
You ain’t seen nothing yet. BAND-MAID are my favorite band since Led Zeppeln (and Metallica). They are full of surprises. Try a live performance next: DOMINATION, 14th February 2020.
Actually, BAND-MAID have done a lot of anime commissions (six?).
BabyMetal is Kawaii Metal which means Cute Metal a mix of Metal and J Pop.
Good reaction ty
Also check out Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, NEK!, Koiai, Rolling Quartz, and DIH. Have you seen Nu Dehli by Bloodywood?
This is just the beginning
Check out band-maid From now on an instrumental song .Put on your seat belt.
Now go hear Lovebites from Japan. Start with Holy war.
Although they will step back and forth over the line to metal, the ladies consider themselves hard rock
Wait, do you listen to Bloodywood also? They are from New Delhi. They are pretty awesome in my opinion.
I actually have! Bloodywood's first album was a banger, I saw they released a new track recently too...
@@Sohum That new track is a banger! Hope you do a reaction for it. :D
Hey, I'll enjoy checking your channel...Maids, Deep Purple, Rush and not just rock. As you mentioned "pop metal"...do you get the resemblance in the chorus between this Thrill and MJ's Thriller. Pretty cool 👍
🍺🥴👋👍🙏
😜
98% of the world's anime is Japanese anime. Anime 🟰 Japan, it is correct that Japanese music sounds like anime music.
Not Metal... Hard Rock....
But if you want Metal Bands you got ti do Aldious We Are music video.
To me Band Maid's more like Hard Rock. They're like Van Halen... and rock a little harder with great hooks, riffs, and song dynamics, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi is more Pop Metal... and now I'm done dating myself!
I want Domination!
not Pop-Metal but let me suggest Japanese Pop-Rock/Pop-punk and SCANDAL - here is one of their newer song "Highlight no Naka de Bokura Zutto" (we are always in the highlights) th-cam.com/video/YbPeoYlmxBE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Not really metal. More like hard rock with a dash of punk, pop, jazz Etc.
Got to check out Show Ya.
Terrible reactor. Awful. Band Maid deserve better.
sorry!
I thought he was really good.
@Sohum Thanks for reacting to Band Maid. I enjoyed. I think this person is just trolling
Huh?
@@SohumNo need to apologize to this guy .
