Many times your car's tie rod ends can be saved when it is only the rubber boot that is busted or dry rotted. Here is a video how to install new rubber boots.
This was on a W126. Your outer tie rod is very much the same, but your inner tie rod is very much different. Instead of battling with that spiral clip and possibly tearing the boot, I just use the smallest cable tie. Not too tight though.
