    The problem with all these choices, no weather sealing. In the UK it rains all the time.

      Not all. Only smaller double digit ones lack WR. I sailed on Baltic sea, few years with X-H1... but with manual vintage not sealed lenses. There are no issues with them.

    I love the X-T30. I bought a used one and got a steel of a deal! I wanted that more than the X100V (which I used at a wedding) because of the lens options.

      The XT30 is an excellent small and lightweight alternative to the VI. No IBIS but not everyone needs that. I do. Choose the 23 or 35 f2 or 27f2.8 pancake and you’ve got something. Need IBIS? Try the XS line. All cheaper than the V or VI. Similar experience.

    I was eyeing the Fujifilm X-S20 last week and have been giving it some serious thought. I am heading off to Ireland in a month and I feel like this would be a great camera for creating context, especially with the flip around screen. The price defiantly reasonable. It would not be a replacement for my Nikon z7ii but I feel like it would be an awesome travel camera.

    I ordered the x-s20 a couple of days ago and fuji 18-55. Very excited about this camera! I do have the x100vi pre-ordered as well. We’ll see what happens when I get it, if I ever do. 😜

    I recently bought X-T30 as my sidekick. But being honest i would sell X-T30 being on Your place, You already got X-t5 and XS-20. But there is one camera that You should have, just for sake of having complete lineup. X-Pro... maybe new one that will come, sooner or later ;)

    I've been thinking about this ever since the x100v, since it wasn't available I got a smaller camera in the same brand I'm already in which I'm very happy about. I was always thinking why not the same 2 cameras you mentioned in the video, for the same reasons you said in this video. If it wasn't to match what already had I would've gone for the xs20 personally. I was also waiting for your video about it 😄😄😄 cause I know you speak the truth. Nothing wrong with the x100vi just thought it was too $$$

      Still awaiting my preordered body. I have the XT30 with the 23mm f2 or pancake 27f2.8 is a great combo. Same for XS10 and those lenses. I also have the X100S. Any X100 works well. As a matter of fact, any camera works. I have some Panasonic GX bodies or the LX100. Excellent budget alternatives.
      The X100V at a premium is nuts. It is three years old and thus used. I ordered the V a year ago and I’m still waiting. I ordered the VI as I skipped three iterations. I don’t care about the 40MP sensor. 26MP is more than enough for me. I want the IBIS. I have essential tremor so if I’m shooting at less than 1/125 I’m in blurry land. I’d also like to use the VI for short video clips. IBIS would help tremendously. $1600 MSRP is high but still cheaper than the used V.

      Thanks for the advice. Had the x-s10 for a while but hated the shutter sound (compared to a pro2/3, t3/4/5, x100f/v). Sounds just cheap in comparison to my ear and I love the sound of a good mechanical shutter. Is the x-s20 oder x-t30 better in this regard? 🙏🏻

    • @josephsullan1603
      @josephsullan1603 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@romankampa6212 From my understanding, basically the difference between the XS20 and the XT30ii is that the XS20 has ibis, better video features, maybe better autofocus, and battery life.

      @@jbivphotography I have the XT30. A mini XT3. Never bought the II as the difference is minor. The XT lacks the special EVF and built in ND filter. Some people value the option to interchange lenses. There aren’t any bad Fuji bodies.

      @j.f.1979 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@romankampa6212 Well I don´t know about the X-S10 but the X-T30 II had an unpleasing shutter sound for my eyes. I sold it recently and replaced it with the X-S20. I like the shutter sound a lot more, not as "cheap" but certainly not as pleasing as the X-T4 or X-T5 which both have the best shutter sound I have ever heard on a digital camera (and I had a lot of them). So if shutter sound matters to you, the X-T30 (II) is certainly no real option, at least in my eyes.

  • @brahmabeharrysingh5287
    @brahmabeharrysingh5287 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The problem with all of these "alternatives" is they don't have the leaf shutter and built in ND filter which are the IMO the main reasons why the X100 series is so unique and why many of us love them.

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s true. The alternatives I’m listing is literally just to save money and also get the same benefits of Fujifilm. The biggest thing is the X100 series have features that a lot of other Fuji cameras don’t have so it’s not exactly easy to save money and also get all of the same features. Aside from just buying something older.

    Offering the XT-30 and... whatever it was, just shows you simply don't understand what a leaf shutter with a built-in ND4 filter and a good 35mm lens, all packed in one box, bring to the table. If you did, you wouldn't make this video. Nothing can beat the X100 in its price range. It's a unique tool in the right hands, not just a fancy retro-looking gadget.

    • @jbivphotography

      Obviously. I do understand that those features are hands down the BEST in class and I wish more Fujifilm cameras had them in them. HOWEVER, not everyone has an X100VI budget so this was to help them get a camera that's close to the same feel at a cheaper price. The cheaper price ='s loosing some of the X100's best features.
