I’ve been shooting with Fujifilm professionally for the past 3 years now, and I have to agree with the autofocus issue… if they can fix that, I think many more people will seriously consider the system for pro work.
You can’t deny they make great cameras though. I think the sensor just adds a certain ‘vibe’ to shots that makes it so easy to edit in post, be it photo and video.
Ive been loving your photos mate, keep it up!

      @larrydiaz7156 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@namnguyenngoc3966sorry to disagree, but it is not. There are a lot of issues related to Fujifilm AF besides the missed focus in shots: there is the god awful lack of linearity when racking focus (it’s always hunting and stepping), the settings are unnecessarily convoluted, it makes linear motor lenses perform below USM lenses do in 10 year old Sony bodies, and on top of that it gives false positives.
I’m a Fuji lover and I have been for a while, but I’m so glad people are finally calling Fuji AF by its name: a hot mess that can only be fixed by releasing a new mount. Oh, and by firing the entirety of the software development department. But that’s a discussion for another moment.

Stop dreaming ! I shot Fuji during 8 years with an XT1 and then XT2. Even the newer released cameras seem to still have the same kind of autofocus issues. The autofocus works better on the newer models of course but it almost feels like it’s due to more powerfull and rapid processors or sensor in the case on the XH2S for example than real algorithm improvements. The failure of Fuji in delivering an autofocus on par with Sony or Canon made me switch to Sony. Also as said by others the price. When Fuji released the XH2S at £2,500 nakef body, that opened up my horizons with the a7IV in the same price range despite Sony’s tendency to overprice their own cameras (IMHO). I finally ended up with the A7RV but that’s another story 😂

Been shooting Fuji for 10 years. The latest being the XT4. Bought an A7iii on a whim and it destroyed me. Sharper images. Insane eye autofocus that doesn't miss, even on fast moving subjects. Incredible battery life (Like 1000 photos and it's still 50% or better, compared to Fuji where it's almost dead at 300 shots). Full frame goodness. I dumped Fujifilm and I'm not going back. Now I have a Sony A7C and I'm extremely happy.

I shot all night last evening 1,000 shots and I still have 60% battery (XT-5). I can't comment on AF compared to Sony. XT5 does well with eye focus and super well with face recognition, (except for that single firmware last month which has since been fixed). The sensor quality is outstanding with lots of room to crop should it be necessary. Great glass, small form factor, all big pluses. That being said if given the choice today to jump into a brand I would certainly explore all the other biggies S/C/N.

@@yousefcreative LOL. I'm afraid to. I'm $16k plus into my Fuji kit. I earn my salary with it and it's awkward to jump ship and a heck of a lot of financial worry. Buying a full working two camera kit that I built up over a decade when I had some extra income...I have done a brand switch before, and it is $$$ painful. I priced out several two camera kits with the 24-80/120'sish 2.8 zoom, a 70-200 f2.8, a 35 prime, an 80 prime, a wide prime, maybe the 50 prime, two extra batteries, ie; a basic low light photojournalist kit with 2 bodies, 2 fast zooms and three primes, , and I'm well into the $15-20k range. I tried several times to use my Fuji cameras professionally both for photos and videos, but I came to the conclusion that the autofocus issues prevent me to have full confidence in it. When will Sony shooters stop talking about auto-focus as if it is the only thing that matters? I use my Fuji XH2s more than my Canon R6II and Panasonic S5iix for weddings with excellent results. Fuji's auto-focus is no doubt not as good as Sony's, but it is good enough for any professional work. To me, image quality counts, and Fuji does not disappoint. The dynamic range alone on Fuji is enough to consider Fuji. I use my xh2s for video only.

Great video talking about both the pros and cons of Fujifilm. I have been considering upgrading my X-T4 to an X-T5 but for many of the reasons you stated, I instead think I will be switching to the A6700. Also an important tip about getting the best out of your Fuji raw files is that sharpening for X-Trans is much much different than other sensors. If you know what you are doing you can get sharpness results equal to and better than something like the A6700. I see that you are using Lightroom, I would recommend either using the "Enhance" function within Lightroom or using Iridient X-Transformer (A $40 plugin for lightroom) to get the best out of the raw files. This can make a huge difference on the sharpness. For some reason X-trans just doesn't work great with the traditional Lightroom sharpening.

I personally think the images of my XH2 are quite sharp when I am using the JPGs directly for edit (which I sometimes do, speeds up the workflow). Whenever I use RAW files (like mostly for my wildlife photos) I always use DXO Pure Raw, as already mentioned by others in their comments.
I think the weight and size to image quality ratio is very good with Fujis APSC system.

Nice review and great pictures. For the apparent softness of some images, as some body else already told it could be caused by lightroom, who is not optimised for the xtrans structure of the sensor. Another tip is to set to -4 the noise reduction. For Fujifilm the 0 is actually applying some noise reduction who could give some more softness to the images. The "real 0" is -4.

Coming from a Sony system for 8 years & switching to an XT5 in Dec of '23, I find the Fuji menu system very refreshing & more intuitive than Sony! The one thing I cannot explain is that my fuji XT5 makes me want to go out & shoot & create an image! My Sony felt more like a "work" camera. I totally agree that Fuji needs to up their game on the focusing system!!! If I need to hit a tack sharp focus on my subject, I switch to a single point & move the box to my subject's eye. Great Video, great photos, thank you for this! There are two ways to get Fuji Raw-Files generally sharper: 1) Using Capture One instead of Lightroom (I tried this but I missed the AI-tools and Photoshop too much. But if you don't need this, Caputure One files are significally sharper than LR-Files. 2) Using DXO Pure Raw as the Raw-Converter. It's a LR-Plugin and actually the main job is to denoise but it also handels the RAW-Flies like Capure One does, so they are way sharper with any ISO. I love this workflow, cause it produces very sharp images without noise (you can go up to 10.000 ISO) while still working with LR. Disadvantage: The files are getting very big (120 MB) and it takes 10-15 sec. per file.

In some cases AF-C just makes it easier to concentrate on other aspects of photography, especially when it's for professional work and timing is crucial. Shooting Fuji for so long I can deal with their shortcomings. Would I wish for real improvements in certain areas? Definitely! In the first place I would wish they wouldn't cripple their AF-C with buggy Firmware updates. I'm back at v2.10 once again and it's all good now.
Also seeing the unsharp portraits in this video, this is the complete opposite I get on my X-T5, especially with sharp lenses as the latest Viltrox 27 or the Fuji 18 1.4 WR which I both own and use frequently.

You aren't wrong. But when you try to capture action on a supposed flagship action camera (X-H2S) and occasionally get a sharp photo using the premium lenses and every setting, it's a huge issue.

The truth for me about Fuji film is how all of the pictures with their lenses make the photos looks like paper mache. They just don’t have any depth to them and look like someone just took layers then pasted them on top of one another. I tried multiple lenses and always got the same feeling from the photos. Eventually had to just abandon the brand because of it. Love the features and style of the cameras, the photos just left me empty though

What most ANNOYING is having to hear comparison with Sony. Every YTuber is the same. Who can make a review on Fujifilm without mentioning Sony???????

To have a fair and balance review, you must compare. Things don't exist in a vacuum. Sony exists. So does Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, etc. If something is clearly better, or better suits your needs, then you should go with it rather than focusing on the brand specifically.

I simply can't see anything in that Fuji crop sensor system that would excite me. Their X Trans sensor is garbage on Adobe Lightroom. The Fuji colour science is not my cup of tea and jpeg film simulation is just a gimmick. There is nothing that the other camera brands can't do equally good or better than Fuji. Fuji's medium format cameras are a different story though, a worthy consideration if I would go that way one day. By the way, I dislike the quality of Your tacky Photos.

Yeah what the, you obviously don’t like you own photos to say something like that. Sadly that’s just human nature and a clue insight inside your life and you’re obviously struggling with something.
Hopefully you can resolve this and stop trying to bring others down in an attempt to pull your self up!

What are you trying to say? Great camera, but AF is s***. Sadly, I have to agree. AF is absolutely ridiculous.
