Thankyou soo much!! I Just did my CV joints on my 156 and noticed that will have to do the upper control arm bushes as well. Nice to see that it is an easy job 😉
Thanks for the video. One question, I replaced the upper wishbones on my Alfa 147, so far so good. Now, however, I have tightened the wishbone on top of the jack without the vehicle standing on its wheels. Is this a problem? Actually, it shouldn't be, since the bearings on the upper wishbone are not vulcanized? For all other bearings, such as the lower wishbone, the vehicle must be on the wheels to tighten, is that correct?
@@alfaromeonoproblem New Lemförder, but without extra grease. I only saw your video afterwards. So far nothing is squeaking. I mostly use Lemforder and have never had a bad experience with it, even with other parts.
Can you replace the lower control arm bushings? They sell them separate so there must be a way without having to buy a new arm. Maybe the lower control ball joint as well?
Hello. Yes, the bushings can be replaced. But usually the first thing to go is the ball joint, and it is not replaceable! Make sure to use only quality parts, TWR, Lemforder and not much else. If the ball joint is good go for it!
@@alfaromeonoproblem Yep. I purchased a cheap pair of ebay upper controls arms and now my camber can't be set. Do the TRW ones have the letters TRW cast into the metal? I don't want to buy more fake stuff off ebay.
Hello. Yes they have the casting. However the fakes have it too... Be careful. More then that. Even if orginal normally the stuff online is not 1st quality. 2nd, 3rd, etc is the common play. I always try to buy on actual part stores.
So no need to go and do alignment if I just do lubrication like You in this video? Also one more question.. Do You recommend turning long bolt other way in upper wishbone to have easier access next time when I do lubrication or installation of polyurethane bushning? I have GT and it is not lowered.
Very useful, i will soon be changing the upper armand apply this tip on the new one just to be sure it's greased enough
Thank you very much for watching my video! See you at Sundays and Thursdays

Thank you very much! A new video every Sunday!
Hello great video and work i ask you the name of synthetik greece its easy to you? Thnks and continue the great videos.
Hello. Thanks for watching. Use silicon or lithium grease. No matter the brand
Thanks for the tip Bruno! One question, would you do this to a brand new?
Thanks. On TRW or lemforder (non autodoc ones) no need.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Thank You. Thinking about buying mayle HD. Or would You go for TRW?
@bfmenoob2847 TRW or lemforder only. Not autodoc
What type of grease did you use on rubber? Lithium Grease ?
Hello. Yes, lithium. It can be any sint. base greasses for rubber and plastic

By the way, did you use TRW or lemforder parts?

Very good
How to fix excess camber on front of 166?
Hello. Camber increase as you lower the car. You can apply some eccentric bushings on the top control arm and or use 0 on toe. So, no toe in or out.
Is it possible to replace the ball joint? I know some guys who does it and I'm looking for what joint they use for doing it.
Hello. Normally not possible, and I do not recommend tempering with this.. seen them broke of before..
Low quality ones

Is silicone grease a good one to use?
Hello. How are you? I've seen your other comments, thanks for watching! Silicon will do just fine. Lithium grease is a bit more resistant.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Great thank you!
Do You lubricate outer part of bushing(which goes into wishbone) or just inside bushing and metal part?
And does it need alignment after this?
Hello. How are you? I do use a bit of grease on the outside just to make it easier to insert the bushing.
You will need one alignment if you replace the wishbone or if you replace the bushings.
If the wishbone and bushings are the same, no. No need
So no need to go and do alignment if I just do lubrication like You in this video?

Yes, no alignment required.
You can turn the bolt around, but you have to take out the wheel arch liner to remove the bolt completely.
