I think it's absolutely beautiful that your grandmother had your grandfather buried so he could see the water. Also, you can never spend too much time in any cemetery. I love doing cemetery photography, people think it's odd, but there is just something so peaceful about a beautiful cemetery.
My grandmother has been in the process of leaving this world since last sunday and I haven't been able to cry. She died, very peacefully I must say, this night and I still didn't cry but watching you at your grandfather's grave somehow did it for me. Very beautiful!

Cobb & co was the best! Always loved going there, even as an adult. It's so lovely how your grandmother wanted your granddad facing towards the sea. That nearly made me cry. My granddad has been gone since 1981, and it still makes me sad. He was my favorite person in the world.
You look so happy. I do hope that you and Mr. Owl will not be apart again. And I hope you make more regular trips home. Every 2 years seems like a good pick me up to ones mood and head space. Long enough to visit family, catch up, have a nice dinner and load up on goodies to take back and of course a visit to the beach. Hopefully you can move somewhere that feels like home and still travel from there.💋

I wish we still built with that aesthetic...would love to see that beauty paired with the modern conveniences we enjoy in this day and age. Also, you have a lovely family! My grandma died when I was 16 and every single time I visit her grave I cry. The pain surfaces and feels so fresh still after so many years. Some times I literally can't even get out of my car because I get so upset.
Ok. For real. I moved away from the coast and the mountains a little over a year ago, and seeing you go to your favorite beach gave me warm fuzzies. Additionally, the way your hair was put up on the beach... I REALLY like it like that.

What an amazing place. My husband took our oldest son at his request to NZ for his graduation present instead of helping him get a car. He says he thinks about that trip every day and it's been years. What a gorgeous train station!
