I’m German and planing to wear gothic clothes soon but I’m just wearing regular black clothes at the moment. An example are black tshirts normal black pants (those with huge pockets on the side which are quite popular and almost everyone wears them) and i wear my hair slicked back. I also wear black vans or sport shoes and sometimes a black motorcycle jacket(not the leather ones). Since the moment I wear my hair slicked back I often get talked about by little kids like 5 years younger than me at school. Not like straight up insults but they laugh, shout my name and someone insisted that I wanted to hire him as a night guard which I obviously didn’t do. The even more weird thing is that I never told them my name… thats Germany for you.
Germans are very pedantic and everything must be 100% :- clean, right, on time or else there is a tantrum . They are very serious people who generally don’t joke a lot and can be hard to make friends with. They know how to get things working but it must be a hard place to work in Germany ! Hard people to please and work for. I dunno if they are so abrupt because their language is quite abrupt? There is no beating around the bush with them.

If it wasn't for his deep voice I would have thought it was another lovely giant man :3 He does look good without it, however I still prefer him with it. I just like make up on everyone because it lets everyone look awesome in their own way, so that always makes them look more attractive :P And him rocking his style is super attractive haha
He looked better than expected. Many people look worse without make up, but he looks fantastic, and even has those high cheekbones without the grey highlight. He also seemed a lot more vulnerable in the documentary, and like a very deep, artistic soul. He makes more sense in my mind after watching that. I think the documentary does them both justice. I was a goth once, and even though I was more lazy with my look and didn't get strong reactions from people, if it ever happened, I somehow felt reassured in my identity and choices.I didn't dress to feel accepted precisely, but as a form of self- expression. ,whatever, those kids are plain stupid. What people don't get is that behind the look there's something really nurturing, creative and a personal vision of beauty. I mean, look at her and how much attention she pays to every detail of her look, I find that lovely. Btw, I also want to scream every time I see shorts and crocs but I have manners :D

You should do the Amsterdam meet and greet at the main "I am sterdam". It's a big bright, red and white sign that should be easy to find for everyone to meet, and you can go to a restaurant or the cafes or nearby park with everyone. But I think it's just a good communal spot that easy to see.
You should make a "get ready with me" with your husband!! I'm also very curious as to how long it takes both of you to get ready!! I know that I'm always so surprised at how quickly you're able to do your eye makeup. Like it takes me forever just to do a basic cat eye. Haha
