- A driving game like it's 1995, but with modern features, Formula Retro Racing is a true arcade game experience and here is our full review.
Developed by Repixel8 and CGA Studio, the low-poly design, unique tracks and accessible handling have combined to hark back to the glory days of arcade cabinets.
It's available today, 31st March, for PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, PlayStation follows in April.
It also features PC virtual reality support, in a really unique way too - watch the video review to see!

What I'm wondering is how this compares to Hotshot Racing, since they both have very similar looking styles.
Try the demo. I can't stand the physics. Hot shots handles better.

Has anyone had problems loading the last track(Santa Monica drift)? I unlocked it on arcade, but it won't load. (Switch version)

I absolutely love this racing games while i played formula retro racing world tour in ps4 physical versions, i will play this game

I have both, and both on Steam and Switch (I know... but they're in different rooms, and yes I know the Switch is also portable :)
I already thought the first one was great, but man did the follow-up up the ante even further. I feel the physics have slightly changed to make it even more arcade-like. Another change that goes in the same direction, is the way more forgiving collisions.
All in all: at that price, this is an absolute no-brainer for fans of the genre, I find myself really wanting to go back and play more, even more so than with the previous one.
I've been waiting for this for months now on the switch. I enjoyed the first one. This one's pretty much what I expected it would be, except for the drift mechanics. I was expecting to go into a drift if I applied the breaks and not just if I simply turn the wheel. This is a small gripe as I think it's an enjoyable game and an improvement on the first. Also I got it on sale for 11:99. I hear there may be a physical copy! Is this true?

This sequel looks amazing! I really liked the first one especially since I'm a Sega nerd and the first game was basically an homage to Virtua Racing, however the sequel feels like it has a lot more personality rather than being just another homage. I'm definitely going to play it when I get the chance

Teil 2 gekauft und nach 27 Minuten Racing / Frust Rückgabe und Rückzahlung 20 Euro . Jeder Streifen Sand bremst , Steuerung Controller 😡 , Driften ist ein Alptraum . Das Spiel und den Vorgänger mit dieser Low Grafik bitte vergleichen mit " VIRTUA RACING " Sega Mega Drive , Sega Saturn , PS 2 ... etc . / 3 Strecken im Orginal , 10 Strecken . Spiel und Spaß in der alten Zeit gegen unsere Zeit 2023 . Das Spiel Formula Retro Racing World Tour mag Arcade , Grand Prix , Eliminieren und Training als Inhalt vorweisen + 20 Strecken + 20 Fahrer ... es schafft es nicht auch nicht ansatzweise " Virtua Racing " zu beeindrucken . World Tour ist eine Enttäuschung pur . Schade , dass der Entwickler nicht schriftlich erreichbar ist .
Hmm, I think you must have a completely different game to me because my version comes with AI glitches and balancing issues, a completely broken 'Eliminator' mode, broken leaderboards, circuits that are near-impossible to win (try New York on any difficulty) and 'drift' cars that are just plain pointless!
These aren't just your typical random everyday glitches, these are the fundamental basics of a racing game...so to either overlook them or simply fail to acknowledge their presence is a bit poor - especially when you consider that people still use industry reviews to determine whether or not to make a purchase of a particular game.
