    Delkovic, an excellent pipe. Mine increased MPG by over 10%, and mid range power by 25%! It also sounds fantastic, especially if you want to wake the neighbours. The 250mm stubby must be too noisy, my 350mm pipe is just fine.

    Dear Bob
    I just bought the same exhaust for the same bike (ER650A).
    I'm sure that you dont have it anymore but that's ok.
    Inside the box that delkevic send me is a "silicone exhaust sealant".
    Did you use this item anywhere in the exhaust fitting process??
    Your instructions helps a lot, good job!
    Take care..

    Welcome to the 'Aftermarket Exhaust' club. I changed my stock exhaust only a few days back for a Leo Vince Carbon, - in my lounge! :-o

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Barry ah how does the Leo vince sound? Probably better than the Delkevic but for the price (£120) I'm happy with it. I guess you rolled it outside before you fired it up for the first time??? 😂

    • @MrBazUK
      @MrBazUK 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sadly the Leo Vince has not been fired up yet as the weather here flips between wet and baltic. There are a few more toys being bolted on while its in the warm too. My sister has a Leo on her Yamaha XJ6 and it's incredibly loud with a lovely bassy tone. A louder exhaust is essential when filtering... apparently. ;-)

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Barry it does help to get noticed if you can give it a quick rev. But if I took the baffle out I fear I might give someone a heart attack

  • @thomasaltfathergood
    @thomasaltfathergood 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I put the 225mm (9in) pipe on my 2020 Enfield Himmi (LS410). It's pretty nice - louder than stock but not Harley loud. Not unlike your sound. I left the baffle in - but like you I am happy with it.

  • @m.purgar
    @m.purgar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Were you happy with the sound? I know you've moved on to a different bike by now, but did it sound less like a tractor? And does it get louder, kinda hoping it's louder than the stock one?
    One last question, what did you do with the CO sensor? Don't see you mentioning it anywhere and most vids plug it out before fitting the new exhaust, then what? Leave it plugged out, or?
    Thanks

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s way louder because the cat is in the original exhaust so it’s essentially a decat too. It’s a bit louder with the baffle in, and miiiiiles louder with it out. There’s a hole for the o2 sensor in the new pipe, so I just put it in there. I think it comes with a blanking bolt if you want to remove it though

    • @m.purgar
      @m.purgar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply! I've been subbed for a while and have been using your maintenance videos as help before doing anything since this is my first big bike :D
      So besides the noise increase, which is what I'm looking for, did it just become louder or does it sound 'better'?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ah glad they’ve been helpful! Yeah it sounds way bassier and growlier. Definitely the first mod I would do on an ER6

  • @MrBazUK
    @MrBazUK 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Exhaust sounds great. Your downshifting is sounding better too.Is there a baffle (DB killer) in yours that can be removed?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Barry there is a baffle but I think I'll leave it in for now as it's pretty loud already. Most of my riding is in London so I don't think I need it any louder as the traffic is fairly slow and close quarters.
      I've been practising downshifting a lot so thanks! It crossed my mind earlier though that it felt easier with the new pipe. Not sure if that could be possible though??

  • @roblee6285
    @roblee6285 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sounds mint! You noticed any performance improvements with it on?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +rob lee really hard to say to be honest because it seems a bit quicker but could be in the mind. The sound makes you grin for the whole ride so maybe it's in my mind. Noticed a bit less engine braking when slowing down which might be to do with there being less pressure. Anyway for £130 I think it's the best mod I've fitted so far by miles

  • @alexlupu9548

    Nice video mate. Do you remember having less torque in lower rpm after swapping the exhaust? As soon as I installed the new 350mm stubby it became very tame in lower revs...

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely less torque at the bottom end, but for me it made the bike a bit of a smoother ride at low speed around town. You def have to gas it to get the most out of it though

    • @alexlupu9548
      @alexlupu9548 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the quick reply mate. U are 1000% right. It is smoother all around and it does need a bit more revving. U take care and ride safe. Taa

    hi got exactly the same bike and am looking to add a bit of grunt to mine, does it effect the bike removing the cat? does it mess up the sensors? thanks, looks and sounds great!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jason leadbeatter hi Jason. I've not had any problems with mine that I'm aware of and I've put plenty of miles in since I fitted it. The delkevic link was pipe has a boss for the co2 sensor so you just screw it in there. The co2 sensor goes in before the cat so I guess there should be no difference apart from maybe less back pressure? If you fit a full system with the headers then perhaps you might need to get it retuned. Has been fine for me tho with just the slip on. For the money it's a great upgrade! Sounds like a beast now :)

    How do you store your bike over a night ? How you keep it safe? ;)

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cigonas Liaudies it's parked on the street. I use an almax chain and 3 disc locks, 2 of which are alarmed. I've also got a fracker which sends me a text if anyone touches the bike. I keep it under a cover. And I have a nest cctv camera. I've seen some guys scoping it out on the camera but it's not worth that much for also the hassle of breaking all the locks. There are better bikes around with less security

    • @megstuporno
      @megstuporno 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice.. One of the best ways to protect your bike is to make other bikes around it more attractive.. :D

    • @motobob
      @motobob  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cigonas Liaudies it sucks to have to think like that and I always look out for the neighbours bikes, but that's how it is now 👎

    Hi, did you use O2 eliminator or its' working fine without exhaust sensor?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jogin haven't fitted one and it seems to be working fine. A bit less torque with the baffle out, but maybe more top end? Hard to tell without a dyno or something

    • @coderyone6761

      Hey, but does it have CE markings on it? Can this be used in EU? Thanks!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Martin Onton its road legal here with the baffle in. Not sure about CE marking though. It probably says on their website somewhere. Or email them - their customer support is great.

    • @coderyone6761
      @coderyone6761 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      MOTOBOB Went for the exhaust and it's great! Though I've been having some backfiring with the new exhaust when engine braking, searching around I found a forum post for plugging the pair valve. Did you do this mod also or did you retune the engine? Also if you don't mind saying where's your fuel consumption at ☺️?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Martin Onton it's not backfire which is bad, just afterfire. Retune might help but my bike did the after firing with the stock exhaust so it's no problem really. My consumption sucks because I ride in town all the time. Sometimes only get a hundred miles on a tank but when I've been out to Wales it was more like 150+

  • @ptopping2012
    @ptopping2012 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video......I have fitted the same exhaust to my bike ; Totally transforms my bike, looks awesome& sounds Ssweeeet...Even with the baffle in....P.S. I bet you still needed another pair of hands fitting your exhaust.....Keep the videos coming...I hope you didn't dribble over everything with that contraption in your mouth...😅

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +P Topping shrewd observation! It makes you dribble like a monsoon. I edit those bits out though... 😂😂😂 what bike have you got? It's amazing value for money. Makes my bike sound passable but would love to hear it on a v twin like an SV or something. Do you keep the baffle in too?

    • @ptopping2012
      @ptopping2012 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a 2013 Suzuki Gsx650f....I do keep the Baffle in...because I think it stems from having a shorty exhaust that I fitted not so long back. It was from America & resembled a baton for runners in athletics....It sounded like a G.P. bike absolutely awesome sound but made your ears bleed... It certainly wasn't road legal...So I was getting sick of pulling the clutch in when there was any sign of the Police....😁👍🙋🏍
      back.it

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +P Topping I know exactly what you mean. The delkevic is a sweet tone without being a total blowout. I've tried it with the baffle out but especially around London where you're at close quarters with people, neighbours, police it's not worth it. Even with the baffle in, if you think someone is about to pull out on you, dump the clutch and blip the throttle and you can get their attention. It's great value for money that's for sure, and their customer service is great too 👍
