I've been flying drones for about a year now, and today I received my new MOZ 7-I’m hooked on long-range flying! I absolutely love watching your videos; they’re incredibly entertaining, expertly edited, and your charisma really shines through. Wishing you continued success! Greetings from Mexico.
For simulator I would highly suggest using Liftoff and not starting with the tutorial, but start with the videos by Joshua Bardwell on learn to fly in the simulator.
Also, for training, it is really helpful to learn to turn by the horizon. Ideally you want to have a crosshair in the middle of your screen, fly up a bit and try to keep your crosshair in between ground/mountains and the sky while turning 360 degrees around.
Finally opened the box to my Boxer radio and was ready to buy Liftoff sim, but noticed a free sim (forgot the name). What an exercise in frustration. I then found your video that reviewed several simulators and I bought the DRL simulator. At least there’s hope that one day in the future I might be able to fly a drone with the help of that simulator. Thanks.
The radiomaster pocket ELRS is so good for the money. Replacing the radio that came with my first cheap RTF kit would be like $50. The pocket is like $20 more including the batteries, but its so so much better than any of the RTF manufacturer's radios like BetaFPV, emax etc. It has powerful customization, and even some built in LCD games.
Only if you find a way to input external video. Some FPV goggles do allow input (USB, HDMI), but a normal computer monitor or TV works just as well when training.
How different is it using a real controller vs a game controller? Can you start with just the simulator and an Xbox controller to get a feel if FPV is right for you?

hey Brodie_ Any tips on connecting the Radio master pocket to the Sim- using a mac -thanks_ Total NEUB
Is there a way to play Liftoff with a Quest 3 and radio transmitter with a desktop?
You can't use many vr headsets with fpv sims

It's definitely VERY different, however, if it's the only budget you have available to you it's at least an option
Yeah mate I can't fly them, it's not cause I have some fear it's cause my family can't afford one :(
