So glad you enjoyed it, Robert. Butch and Droopy are coming right up. Screwy will have to wait a while. I had so much fun watching his work to get ready for this. An absolute genius.
Thank you Rich. Also I am really happy that you had fun drawing this character. I am looking forward to Droopy and Butch, and before I forget; Tex Avery belongs up there with Bob Clampett, and Chuck Jones on the Mount Rushmore of Animators.
I was curious about two things. 1.)Do you ever have trouble coming with ideas for poses of a certain character you are drawing? 2.)Do you ever have trouble creating a unique hairstyle?
I would say yes to both MM. Which is why, when I am trying to figure either a pose, hairstyle, or any other aspect of a character, I never start by drawing a final drawing. I start by doing what I call "thinking on paper". These are messy scratchy scribbly drawings that are trying to connect what is in the far recesses of my brain or subconscious, all the way down to my pencil. You will be shocked what begins to reveal itself when you do a dozen or more simple thumbnail doodles or drawings of what you're trying to figure out. Free your mind of caring about mistakes or bad drawings. You're simply trying to figure stuff out. Then study them and build from there. See if this helps.
I love Tex Avery cartoons
Yes, he is a genius! Hope you enjoyed the lesson Ej!
Can you draw Tex Avery's version of Bugs and Daffy
Love that idea, Hector. I'll look into what I can do along those lines. Thank you!
I enjoyed this very much. Hopefully we will get tutorials on how to draw Red, Screwy Squrriel, Butch the Dog, and Droopy Dog soon.

@@robertcarey45 You are so right, Robert! Kind of sad those names aren't celebrated the way musical or sports legends are. Oh well.
@LevelUpCartooning I think there will be something like that one day. Like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or ESPN Awards for animators.
