Vanover's flight was hands down one of the best freestyle flights I've seen in a while. Nice smooth flow, not too jerky and not too dancy, just perfect. Well done, Alex!
Nice little micro. Best thing I ever tried for getting quads out of really tall trees is one of those ball chuckers I use to throw a ball for my dog with, attached a strong thin line to a weighted rubber ball and I can accurately throw the line really high and get it right over the quad. They only cost about $5 but you need to make the ball heavy enough to pull the line up (I use a builders string line, strong but light) then I can attach a thicker rope and pull it through if it’s a particularly thick branch that needs a good shaking 😂
I have one, very nice, and I squeezed an R9M inside, my buddies are using the crossfire with 850mA batts. However, I have gone through four motors to date, two within 10 flights, and bent the tip of an arm crashing into the dirt. The replacement motors cables are too short to install at the front end, you have to splice cables which is not fun, the replacement frame was not cheap, but came quickly complete with all new TPU parts. The beetle is by miles my favorite 2.5" flyer, shes always packed on a fly day, I would recommend it to anyone, my only complaint really is why the motors failed and short cables, all of which can be remedied.
The Iflight dc3 . Mine had a gyro problem but RDQs and Iflight fixed that with a new board . IMHO the 2 rear arms come back at a 45 degree angle and are very flexible and look like a break point .Mine have not broken so far . PS I love my Transtec Beetle

A question. Mine came with dshot600 enabled stock but only 4khz gyro/pid loop.
Do you think i can change to 8Khz? The board seems to be able to handle it but mayby the esc cant?
HAHAHA I ordered this and you know what buy and fly PNP is cheaper than ordering separate! Can't wait! (noob pilot)
Maybe better performance on 3” inch? I saw that the seller have the option🤔
I noticed that you removed the prop guards. How did it fly with them on? Also, how much did it weigh with the guards on?
To be honest I never flew it with prop guards on. Not interested :-)
Joshua Bardwell Good enough for me...purchased via Newbeedrone link!👍
It flies pretty smooth, but not near as acrobatic. You only wanna leave those on if you just plan on cruising. In fact I broke two of the guards, the first time I crashed it. I didn’t even crash it that hard. I plan to print out some better quality guards. The others just do not last. Like I said first crash...done for.
Will this drone work with the new dji goggles and new controller
Goggles yes, controller no.
I bought I bought my transtec Beetle without the air unit. But I have a stock air unit with the large antennas. So will that work? ? And what I mean especially is the antennas or do I need to buy those other smaller ones? Love your channel, by the way.
It will work sure I don't see why not, but the 3D printed parts may be tailored for the little antennas.
I also bought my Beetle without the air unit. I ordered mono pole antennas thinking the same thing, but it’s a good little kit, it comes with the antennas and the TPU mount. You shouldn’t need to buy anything else. Everything comes in the kit except the air unit, (and the controller)
Did you get the rpm filter working ?
I had no luck with the latest stable jazzmaverick
No I never got it working. And neither can anybody else. It seems like the flight controller can't do it.
How does he do that?? Can you put his sticks on the screen by chance?!
Oh wow, how did he... what? 02:30 how is that even possible? At first I thought he was throwing himself *through* the fence
but even how he slung it over there is just like... WHAT?!?
;D
This world is not real
I couldn't stop thinking about how great this quadr will fly with Caddx Vista))
Flight times??
sweet! lil guy looks good. wish it had a flat top for top mount and a bit more protection (of the air unit), but looks great otherwise.
The air unit is quite robust. It's fairly hard to damage. The number one thing that breaks is the MMCX on the antenna.
@@JoshuaBardwell great point Joshua.
Still looking for this
hey joshua :) wich props should i buy? pitch of 4 or 2,5?
Look at Avan Rush 2.5 they are great!
did anyone else hear the dremel sounds it was making at half throttle???
Air Unit records some weird sounds on my 5" which is perfectly smooth, could be just a bad mic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it's actually the motors hitting the microphone membrane's resonant frequency xD
The more other HD cam/mic combos I see and hear (Turtle, Runcam 5, DJI, etc.) the more impressed I am at just how good GoPro mics are.
Vanover is a really good pilot.
Yeah I'm starting to think that also 🤣
I use baseballs. Or a softball when I'm desperate. Especially useful softball field nets.
A softball definitely has more weight for nets ;) ;)

What's the flight time on this thing?
