Just got the Signa Silk 7ix and they sound so much better than my good sounding Eargo 7's. In a crowded restaurant I can focus on the table conversation much better than any hearing aid I have ever worn. I've been wearing hearing aids for 48 years since I was 9.
Hey Don! Thanks for taking the time to feed back. THat's great to hear and not a surprise going from OTC's to traditional hearing aids. Stay awesome, Matthew
Hi Matthew. Thank you for posting this overview. I just went in for my first hearing check at 62 years old yesterday and now know I need hearing aids-wow. A bit overwhelmed right now. Any guidance on narrowing down these myriad choices? In talking with my audiologist, she is recommending the active lifestyle version of the behind the ear style. I need the most help hearing conversations in environments with a lot of background noise as I have lost hearing at higher frequencies in both ears. I also want bluetooth capability. I like the rechargeable idea over batteries. We do travel occasionally so the ability to translate languages might be a bonus. I want a good app that let's me customize how my hearing aids are working. Sorry for the long treatise here lol. Can you help me narrow down my choices at all? My audiologist gave me brochures from ReSound, Starkey and Oticon, but left the decision up to me. She thought ReSound might have a slight edge. Last question. I'm in the medical field and would love to read some clinical comparisons similar to clinical trials to support FDA drug approval (We're in the US). Do these exist? Many thanks and happy new year!
Hey Matthew, I'm a new Widex Sheer 440 user, and was frustrated by not being able to stream from my windows laptop to my hearing aids. Enter Widex SoundConnect USB dongle... just what I needed! It would be helpful to your audience to review the SoundConnect soon!
Hello. I follow you carefully. I live in Türkiye. I bought a Phonak Lumity 90 Life device. Is it possible for you to make adjustments via remote connection?
I am so overwhelmed. I don't know what to do. I have tinnitus really bad with some hearing loss. I've gotten my hearing test done, in result I qualify for hearing aids. I done a hearing aid consult with my audiologist. There are so many hearing aids with so many technologies, I don't know which to choose from. I can afford but just the minimum. I don't want tinnitus masking, but I did notice the Phonak hearing aids along reduced my tinnitus 70 - 80% they may even do more with adjustments. Plus it didn't sound like I was talking/listening in a hallway. I don't know where to go to get the best price and which hearing aids I should choose.
I’m a Phonak user since 25 years. I’m due for a new set. I have the Audio B. they were good but not fun to wear at the pool ( my daughter is a swimmer not me!) Also, ppl at the back of my head do not exist. So should I wait a bit in 2024 to see if Phonak improves and gets a new platform. Tks
Hi Paul, great question. Granted you won’t have access to the features that allow the hearing aids to communicate with each other and benefit you in noise, however if automation, clarity, nose attenuation are important then the more advanced the hearing aid the better. Thanks for watching, Matthew
I am coming to Harley Street in a month for aids for noisy background situations, I was set on the Phonak Lumity, now we have the Signia IX 🧐 Can the IX be connected to two bluetooth sources at the same time?
Hey Bert, Great to hear from you. Any MFI hearing aid (i.e anything other than Phonak/Unitron), can be paired with multiple IOS devices however I would only recommend having the BT turned on on one device at a time. Matthew
Hey Anne, Not one sponsor for the vid. TH-cam makes you do this at the beginning of the vid if that is the case. I hope this makes it clear, thanks, Matthew
i am testing phonak lumity RL right now and i cant hear vwry well even the sound is set at 85%. Very disappointed. Maybe becauae of the rubber inside the ear?
@@HearingTracker well, after 20 years of using widex CIC (completely in the canal) I doubt I will manage to accommodate anything else so next week I already will have widex moment 440 first fitting. In order to test custom ear mold with phonak I was required to pay 300€ for those custom moulds so I said no... Too bad widex sucks when Bluetooth is needed :(
This is misleading - you are using video clips that are a year old. The Oticon More came out in January, 2021 - 3 years ago. The "Brand New" Oticon Real came out almost a year ago. Not saying the analysis is bad, but in tech (where things change rapidly) it is disingenuous to say something is "Brand New" when it came out 10 months prior to the video being published.
Oticon Real sounded good, but I don't recommend it for anyone that wants to control their sound better. I jumped ship to something with more app features and am overall experiencing more satisfaction, not stuck going to the AUD for every little thing.
Which are you wearing? Matthew
Signia motion c&g 5x

?? Plz answer my question. 🥰
Hi Matthew, I have hearing loss in 1 ear only. Is it still worth buying the latest hearing aid or would a more basic hearing aid be just as good

I am wearing Oticon Real Minirite R, new. I really love them.

Sorry no. Only one at a time.
Oticon vs Phonak for someone who is considered profoundly deaf?
Can you please list any sponsors that pay you or any financial affiliations

Hey VLiviu, it sounds like you need some adjustments making. Take a trip back to your audio! Matthew
@@HearingTracker I've found out why. I need custom ear mold...in the last 20 years I used widex CIC

Hi JIm. The vid's perfect as they're the latests and bestt aids out from each manufacturer. Thanks, Matthew
Does anyone have interference with hearing aids and Ring or Blink camera or doorbell?

Does signia 5x motion C&G support ios 17 updates???
Hey Innocent, yes of course. Matthew
I just got disappointed by widex sheer 440, it doesnt support custom earmold (in canal)... (as Phonak does)
They do have that,.. ask your audiologist
