For reference to people who are looking at these because they want a planar experience at a relatively good price and with privacy, not blaring for other people. I have these, I also have the meze empyreans and Diana phi's, I must say that these headphones are fantastic. I have seen a lot of greasy bastards shitting on these because they don't have flat sound signature but as a person with headphones that do both, there is not that big of a difference, infact the closed backs make everything sound warmer. The closed back is quiet, super comfy, not the lightest, but they sound amazing. Plenty detailed treble, good sound staging, bass extension is there, more so than regular 2c. The difference in sound with the Abyss isn't even that much, these headphones can run all kinds of music (although they struggle with Metal a tiny bit), where as the Diana cant. These headphones make everything sound good, they pick up on low quality production, but they still make it sound good, doesn't bother you like the high end stuff. These headphones are awesome, my daily drives too. I game with them, watch movies, youtube, etc. I love them. Just get a decent amp and youre set. These are not diamond sharp of sharpest sound stage like diana's, but they are very enjoyable, overall a fun headphone. You can eq them and they can handle a lot. Build quality is fantastic too.
Thanks that actually helps a lot, been wanting hi end headphones and was debating between these or splurging on mezw empyreans. I don't need em for mixing, just to enjoy some touhou music so if they are good for casual listening then good to know they're a good option. Upgrading from the hd650, really wanted close backs to keep the noise out.

I have the hifiman ananda and a sony mdr z1r works 4.4 balanced on a ifi micro idsd signature! The Hifiman is more clear and give you more details in the high frequenzy! The sony is a amazing allrounder the bass go so deep and strong for gaming and movies wonderful, the vocals are not so much in front of like the ananda! With the sony you get more 3d atmosphere with subwoofer feeling its amazing for a "mainstream brand"

Filming headphones is a nice change because they're so much smaller than the things we typically review (speakers and TV's/projectors)

which bass heavy can would you prefer to the LCD-2 closed. I was thinking of using for international travel, but too heavy i guess.
That would be a bit too much weight wise. I used the Apple AirPods Max for the noise cancellation, which is huge while on a plane.
