Turns Out Slammed Trucks Don’t do Good In The Sand Dunes

- The first road trip in Kaulin’s dream truck was going really smooth until we noticed some people that might need some help in the sand dunes… luckily our friends from @FabRats were to the rescue! And while they were there we decided to take advantage of their tow truck and put it use with our attempt at driving in the sand.

Funny you memtion people not knowing arm signals. A few years ago i hot pulled over by a young officer who didn't know what they were. He wasn't happy when asked him to either look it up or ask someone on the radio. He wrote me a fixit ticket for no signals. After 3 trips to court, he got ripped by the judge fir not know the law. Was so hard not to laugh but so worth it.
I think the arm signals have been around even us boomers were a thing.

Yes absolutely no doubt there is a few basic rules and knowledge that every person who ever applies for a license to drive should know just like I taught my daughters to CK their car fluids and precautions and how to change a flat tire the simplest things may save them from much trouble and keep them safe and a patrol cop absolutely should be forced to know state and fed laws to drive period

I think they talked about them when they first got the truck and are just leaving them to see how long they stay there. It also generates comments which is always good for the channel.

I have learned one thing in life . Older brothers are there to test there siblings things out for the point of failure . They usually help in fixing it too , but more importantly test the breaking points of anything that is breakable .lol your all good people .
Considering he's the one building the truck for Colin, I think he's testing it out just fine.

Arm straight out: left turn
Arm down: stop or slow
Middle finger up: Horn
Yep - Those are the rules Rudy and Zack would likely be following here in the US. In 2010 I took the MSF riders course as a refresher along with to get a discount on my motorcycle insurance and they still taught the same hand signals here in Florida as in New England over 100 years ago.
When my Dad applied for his drivers license over 100 years ago in Massachusetts you just drove around to find a police officer walking a beat and asked him for a drivers test. If he was available he would call in at a call box to tell the station that he was giving a driving test, get in the car having you drive around, make a few turns, back up, park, do a three point turn, show him the hand signals, ask you to explain the road signs and if you passed he would pull out his citation book and write out that you passed the drivers road test which you would then mail in to Boston with the fee and they would mail your drivers license to you after confirming your passing the the drivers test with your local Police Station.
A bit simpler back then.

It has one, they will put it on after they work out the little bugs. Hoods suck to work under when youre doing all the things that need to be done on a big build like this.

You should look for a Honda Big Red ATC or something similar to keep in the back. Engineer the bed for solid mounts for the ATC. Then you always have a get around vehicle for shows or whatnot.
Big Red ATV is way too big to use as a scoot around at a car show.

Excellent proof of Functioning test and quality control assessment.. Bring on some Paddles.. All in the spirit of Quality control assesments and reliability tests.. If anything brakes rebuild it better.. Give it a tune and faster Turbo boost.. I know Kaulin wants those loud Turbo pops and flutters through the waste gate... 👍

No more sand or off-road stuff for this truck, that's not what you and Kaulin built it for. Everything else you have built in the past is made for the sand plus crawling or whatever. The engine sounds great and I'm glad it has a rev limiter to save Kaulin money. Did you oil that K&N air filter so it works like it should? They make a cloth pre filter that fits over it also. I raced on dirt and carried an extra complete filter so I could change it out after a heat race if it was really dusty. I also had an extra idler arm so if the track was really bumpy you could wear a new one out part way thru the night. Crazy stuff you wouldn't think of would happen. This truck should end up a highway cruiser with all the critter comforts and a nice paint job. No recoveries for this ride. Delete the rear farm bumper for a roll pan and change the mirrors and front bumper to chrome, maybe a thin camaro one. The long caddie tail lights look good in these trucks. A cool on roader instead of a cool off roader like all the rest.
Rudy I definitely think that seeing how the truck will do in the sand dunes is a really good idea. I think it will do really well

he had jeans on so he didnt get too much sand in his nooks or on his cranny when he fell off the back!! LOL I bet they will find sand for the next 2 years in that truck though.
That looks like the spot by pink coral sand dunes where my buddy wanted to get his tacoma stuck and broken by axle hopping it trying to make it up.

A TH-camr from Texas has an old Ford pick up that he put paddle tires on the back and took it to the desert and that was really awesome so you suggesting paddles I think is an awesome idea

@@johnnymack8442 I grew up in the north, but a year in south Texas ruined me for cold weather LOL. Really, it's all about getting acclimated - and learning how to deal with the weather appropriately. Layers in cold weather, staying hydrated and limiting exertion in the heat, etc.
