    Great subject video, as no many of these type has not been available on TH-cam !
    There's so many differences to spot on between the Real deal and the Fake Watch.
    Also the Real Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean has a screws in bracelet rather then removing standard pints !
    Also the Engraving on the clasp is different, and the dial characters 3,6,9 are smaller rather then current ones !
    There are so many other differences between the Geniune Omega and the Fake one, but now I have been mentioned just some of them that hasn't been covered in this video. !
    Thanks for sharing this. !👍

      Good to know thanks. I have a genuine speedmaster 57 GMT but not a planet ocean so good to know how it differs from a 'genuine'... in addition to what I had spotted from vids and photos

    Easiest detail to spot: The reproductions don't have the recessed bezel pip. The genuine Seamaster bezel pips are flush if not slightly recessed into the bezel ring insert.

      Nope i have a superclone and even the pip and movement are identicle...with decorated bridge and rotor to match the original. All the sub dials too work as original.

    The push buttons on the side for the chronograph don’t interrupt the case when looked from underneath,I got mine from Tarrats in Leicester

    I have the orange Bezel 45.5mm ,the case back is clear ,the 12 is orange, the word seamaster is orange as well, the luminous markers are all blue except the big hand that is green. The bracelet clasp also doesn't have planet ocean written on it, it only says Omega with the emblem

    I have a superclone OMF v4 and it has a custom ETA 7750 chrono. It works exactly as the genuine item. The bridge and rotor too are decorated as the genuine. With a genuine one next to it even a watch pro couldnt tell the genuine one. As i have both, a gen and rep to compare. Even the pip is recessed and small same as the gen. It did cost £400 though and for a mechanical chronograph i dont think that is a bad price. The beat error is 0 and on a timegraph it gains 3secs per day with a high beat 28800 bph. So there are some excellent replicas about. The OMF factory is one of them. Ive had it 5months now and no issues with it as yet.

    The easiest way to tell is the triangle in the bezel. The luminous dot should be perfectly centered on a real one whilst the fakes are low and to the bottom of the triangle. I have a basic 45mm Planet Ocean Fauxmega and it has that, like yours.

    the bezel gave it away for me, right away.

      How did the bezel give it away

  • @harryrambler

    After some research I found that both the real Omega and the fake gave me good time.
    But the clincher was that the fake was considerably cheaper.
    Beware of similar looking but expensive timepieces.

      Sorry but fakes will not give you accurate time, plus they will stop working after a few months or years. It must be a humiliating experience taking a fake omega to service, so you will better put it on trash once it stops working.

    I bought one of these models and I do have the seamaster in red. But the biggest let down is the chronograph movement when depressed lol. But I have to say I am over the moon with mine. I have a different back too. Mine is the 007 logo which looks great. And the date wheel is in fact black so now I have seen your informative video that’s good to know… Quite a few of my friends were actually shocked that it was fake lol. Thanks again

      @throbin2856  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually was told by a copper that its good to have a few fakes around in case you get burgled... leave them on show and the real ones hidden away and you may just get away with not losing thousands of quid in sentimentality

    Is this stainless steel or stainless steel plated iron?

    • @throbin2856
      @throbin2856  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no idea but after 5 years it has no wear or tarnishing so suspect it is stainless

    The different is the price but the watch and the performance is a mirror copy.

  • @vvvhhhhhbb

    80 quid replica , easy to spot the differences. £1000 1:1 replica, almost impossible. Even when taken to a jeweler.

    • @nickthegreekpandazis6725
      @nickthegreekpandazis6725 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You think a jeweller wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a co-axial and an ETA/Sellita/Valjoux movement?

    I have the real Omega seamaster planet ocean and i highly recommend it. By the way when you said ''the second hand stops when you pull the crown out to the 2nd position like cheap watches'' is a very wrong statement because my authentic Omega does that it's called HACKİNG and it is a very useful feature that alot of high quality authentic watches have for example Rolex and Omega ;)

  • @FlightTheatreAlberto
    @FlightTheatreAlberto 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can tell by the second hand. You can see that it moves in half seconds. The real one just sweeps along. You can't even see it tick on the real one.

    I have the real deal here mate. Please treat yourself to one. Knock your AD down a few quid, and you'll have yourself a watch for life! Beats the crap out of the Rolex deepsea! What you get for your money is very impressive. Please never wear a fake. It's very "Chavey" 🕶

    That's not even a superclone so a very poor model to compare against an original/genuine model

    • @throbin2856
      @throbin2856  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is fake anyway ? Its a genuine watch that tells the time... it is a replica...of a well known watch... and actually is more accurate than some top brands that cost 50 x the price... losing less than 10 seconds a week... Id say thats a pretty impressive 'fake' and that I was able to buy other very genuine toys for the £3k odd that I saved. I have genuine other brand watches in the £1000's too so who's poor ?
