This is my favorite RAD content. I'm over all the On-X off-road build stuff. It's too much like reality TV. Plus, Kaulin seems like a stand-up dude. How good of a brother is Rudy to make this happen?
My brother passed away a few years ago at the age of 33. I always enjoy when I see brothers close and accomplishing things together. Brings me back to some fond memories I have.
When they're both done, we need pics of Josh's lifted truck next to Kaulin's slammed truck with you standing between them, arms folded, wearing a T-shirt that says "I do trucks".
Rudy coming of age by combining all his Fab skills to build a stylish and complicated suspension. CAD+Plasma Table+Welding+Auto mechanics. Most impressive content to date.
4:00 I'm really excited to discover why you guys on TH-cam always feel 'really excited', when in the real world what ordinary folk feel is 'quite, or even very, interested'?
After watching countless off-road builds over the past few years, getting to watch one of my favorite off-road builders do something completely different is a nice change of pace. Personally not a huge fan of the slammed vehicle look, but I still admire the work and craftsmanship it takes to fabricate one. Plus, this is what Kaulin wants, so my personal preferences don't matter.
Kaulin has really come into his with his natural way in front of the camera, he’s constantly working to learn more and Rudy is the master fabricator to learn from. Such a cool build, can’t wait to see as it progresses. The chemistry between the brothers is fun to watch.
I love this rear suspension, and I'm NOT a lowered truck fan! I especially like you taking the time to explain what's going on and how it works. Super impressive!
I am not a "slammed" truck kinda guy. With that said, what you are building is awesome! The way all those links work together is amazing. Honestly can not wait to see the finished product. If Kaulin has plans on getting it all cleaned up and painted, could definently be a show truck to take around to different events! Awesome content and so happy you are finding the time to post more. Thanks again
Rudy, that has to be the most clever thing I've seen you build yet. And you did a great job of explaining it. Even this idiot fully understood and appreciated the mechanics involved. Great job!
How cool to see The Count counting "8" for you hah hah hah "I love to count".... Rudy, I love your craftsmanship; you're just like your dad, you see the end result in your head and you have the skills to translate the vision to metal! And that Watts Linkage is indeed a thing of beauty, but you need to paint it, maybe the same colour as the truck, to accentuate it!
Kaulin has one heck of a brother to have him doing all this work on his truck without him around! Love the suspension can't wait to see the go pro under the truck as it cruises down the road and shows off how it works while rolling down the street
Nice project Rudy. I had envisioned using 2 hydraulic cylinders for the watts link. You could actually mount the center to the top front side of the diff if one is cramped for space. You can also do an adjustable anti-sway bar using the same technology. If you are interested, I could send you some drawings. What you have already done will work quite nicely though. Be well and I can hardly wait to see how this turns out.
Holy cow, Rudy! I think we all knew that you had legitimate fabrication skills, but this is another level. Kaulin will definitely have his dream pickup when it's all said and done.
Rudy this series is awesome. You should use a chalkboard and a lab coat to explain the mechanics. It's nice to see Zack finding his voice. He seems like a good lad. I wouldn't loan him 20 though. Kolin is lucky AF. peace.
You’re definitely getting great use out of your plasma table. I’ve seen TH-camrs hand make so many brackets and small parts and then get plasma tables or more recently ArcDroids and then really take of in their fabrication. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So somewhere in that beautifully designed rear end you're going to need shock absorbers. Is there enough room? This & more questions will be answered in the next exciting episode. Stay tuned. Thanks so much for sharing Rudy. Cheers Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Rudy - you didn't show off the coolest part of the Watts link - it keeps the axle centered, even when only one side of the suspension flexes! If you want to show off the center pivot moving the most, you should be able to air up the low side while the high side is aired down (at least, if memory serves me correctly!). This is definitely harder to do than a simple track bar, but is also a serious flex on your fabrication skills - not to mention what you're willing to do for your brother! Keep up the awesome work, I can't wait to see the next installment!
That's a really cool way of centering the axle. Also, that CAD work he makes look so easy...that's a ton of math that he's nailing and not really bragging about.
Ahhhhhh, the big brother's love for little bro. Going the extra ten thousand miles to do some cool fabbing for his ride. So right when you stepped back to admire the creation, it is a cool design. I had to cringe though when you cut the cab cuz I used to have a '64 c10 stepside and the rear of the cab and the dash were the only pristine surfaces on the whole truck. Glad you spelled Chevrolet correctly too.
Rudy, you're a really good fabricator. You have really great ideas and symmetrically you can fabricate anything you want to and make all of your ideas come true. Keep up your great work, videos and faith in yourself. From Orlando Florida.
Dude you're a wizard when it comes to suspension and you do a lot of other things good too but I'm just not saying just the suspension keep on keeping on bro
It is absolutely amazing watching this guy work! He has many of his dad’s abilities intertwined with so many raw talents it’s unbelievable! Truly a pleasure to watch, truly!
Rudy never ceases to amaze!! Might need a clear bed so everyone can admire that suspension without crawling around. I feel sorry for the younger generations of people that will never know the pride and satisfaction you feel when you make things that leave you feeling great when you inspect your work. That back half looks capable of handling unlimited HP. Might need some bars in the cab. I'm guessing you could make an easy 500whp with the Ebay turbo 5.3. Maybe a nice BTR cam. Check out some Richard Holdener videos for good combos.
Rudy, watching you build the rear suspension is on of the coolest things ive ever seen. ive been retired for many years but I'm still a dyed in the wool hot rodder and car nut. thanks for sharing that and being humble about it! I don't know what else to say, just keep doing it dude!!!!
Rudy, you’re an artist and a craftsman. Love to see you and your brother working together - that truck will be part of some great memories. Happy birthday!
Just about unbelievable, but I’ve seen it happen, in front of my eyes!!! Wonderful! Congratulations! (and I don’t mean your birthday, oh, congratulations to that too)
Hi Rudy, You are a fabulous artist and fabricator. Your skills and abilities far exceed your young years. You have totally amazed this old man mechanic / municipal fabricator, I’m impressed. Keep up the good work!
That's awesome Rudy, I love watching this build. I like all your lifted builds too, but this is something different from the norm and really shows off your fabrication skills. Plus the fact that you're doing it for your brother makes it special. Can't wait to see the finished product.
You are spoiling us Rudy between the Ford and your brother’s truck, absolutely love this kind of content. I would love to see your dad’s impression of this craftsmanship on Collins truck
I have been building bagged vehicle for 25 years and the watts link is the best way to control side to side axle movement. I have designed billet aluminum differential covers for most gm axles with a billet integrated watts link. I machine the cover from large aluminum bar stock that I cut down into 4" or 6" thick pieces on the band saw before machining them into differential covers.
Low rider in Utah? The sign at the border says it all “ Utah Life Elevated “. 🤣😂🤣 Just kidding it coming out great. Can’t wait for it to run the Chute.
Rudy you have got to get a camera and lights mounted under there to show it off on an in-car screen. Too amazing not to be able to see it in action while driving.
hey Rudy, that rear suspension on Kaulin truck is so Trick.. Your vision for Fabrication is off the charts. Not just HD bracketed, but with an definitive art flair.. Very Cool. Keep up the great job. Can’t wait to see Kaulin reaction to his “one of a kind” build.. MWP Cosby Tn.
The first couple minutes of this video was totally your dad's style fab work. I approve! Good job Rudy. My only gripe is that you didn't use a claw hammer. C'mon man, it was right there. Hahaha
Rudy. We need some Comanche footage!! I just gave my dad's 84 2.8 to a friend of mine with a 3.4 Camaro v6 for it. So hopefully he will do a good job with it. I really want a J10 though!!
Rudy is really showing his insane fab skills with this build.
Rudy, you are Genius and Expert and it is evident in the things that you do. Keep up the good work young man.
How does this skill defend extra homosexual special rights ?
He's obviously no illegal mexican !
This is my favorite RAD content. I'm over all the On-X off-road build stuff. It's too much like reality TV. Plus, Kaulin seems like a stand-up dude. How good of a brother is Rudy to make this happen?
Couldn’t have said it better myself.👌
I agree wholeheartedly. Love the build videos, could care less about on-x reality nonsense.
Yeah it's so great to see Matt has raised such good kids
Yeah buddy!!
Yeah Rudy definitely deserves a nomination for brother of the year for building this truck for Kaulin
That’s looking awesome!
Thanks!
I wonder where he learned such impressive chassis design skills?
My brother passed away a few years ago at the age of 33. I always enjoy when I see brothers close and accomplishing things together. Brings me back to some fond memories I have.
Rudy you are an impressive fabricator and designer. That rear suspension is too beautiful to cover up.
When they're both done, we need pics of Josh's lifted truck next to Kaulin's slammed truck with you standing between them, arms folded, wearing a T-shirt that says "I do trucks".
Great Idea.. Both projects. built by
Rudy Wetzel,
Master. Fabricator....
Rudy coming of age by combining all his Fab skills to build a stylish and complicated suspension. CAD+Plasma Table+Welding+Auto mechanics. Most impressive content to date.
Just curious what CAD software he uses?
Kaulin is a lucky younger brother. You are an impressive fabricator, young man.
no doubt, wish I had an older brother like that
If Truckin Magazine was still around, this fab work would deserve a 2 or 3 page spot, maybe even a cover
Rudy, I'm not into lowered trucks either but man that rear suspension is THE coolest thing I've seen you do. Way to go brother.
I’m so happy that one of you boys has a low rider spirit. 🤙
You said it was your birthday. Happy Birthday, Rudy!
Kaulin is going to love the frame. I am excited to see the rest of this build
If he doesn't, I surely would take it off their hands........
Love that we're getting so much new content lately. Good quality videos. Enjoy watching your work, Rudy!
4:00 I'm really excited to discover why you guys on TH-cam always feel 'really excited', when in the real world what ordinary folk feel is 'quite, or even very, interested'?
I'm impressed! Well done! Very well done actually!
After watching countless off-road builds over the past few years, getting to watch one of my favorite off-road builders do something completely different is a nice change of pace. Personally not a huge fan of the slammed vehicle look, but I still admire the work and craftsmanship it takes to fabricate one. Your gonna have to have a clear bed floor just to show off the work that has gone into that fantastic rear suspension setup
I'm geeking out bigtime. Love the engineering Rudy. ❤montage❤ The ingenuity added to your fab skills is a treat bro.
I was thinking same thing I think he’s going to hit a home run with this project it’s looking awesome with all the fab work looking nice n clean
Great video Rudy. You did a great job explaining how the suspension design works. You also do beautiful work. Can’t wait to see this finished. 👍👍👍
Rudy, that has to be the most clever thing I've seen you build yet. And you did a great job of explaining it. Even this idiot fully understood and appreciated the mechanics involved. Great job!

Rudy surprised me in this one. Dude is a legit fabricator. Sky is the limit for Rudy and this Chanel. #ChevyOnly

I think we all knew that you had legitimate fabrication skills, but this is another level.
Kaulin will definitely have his dream pickup when it's all said and done.
Working on your brother's truck is very commendable. It will be nice to see you build a vehicle for your girl
Rudy this series is awesome. You should use a chalkboard and a lab coat to explain the mechanics. It's nice to see Zack finding his voice. He seems like a good lad. I wouldn't loan him 20 though. Kolin is lucky AF. peace.
Dang Rudy... your design and execution with this stuff is getting GREAT!!!!! Nice work!
Rudy, you certainly are covering Adventure and Design with this project. Utah is all about tall trucks but sometimes you've got to get low.
It would make my head hurt trying to design and build something like this. Rudy is definitely flexing his fab skills with this setup. Great job man.
You’re definitely getting great use out of your plasma table.
I’ve seen TH-camrs hand make so many brackets and small parts and then get plasma tables or more recently ArcDroids and then really take of in their fabrication. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Happy Birthday Rudy !!
So somewhere in that beautifully designed rear end you're going to need shock absorbers. Is there enough room? This & more questions will be answered in the next exciting episode. Stay tuned. Thanks so much for sharing Rudy. Cheers Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Man Rudy, you are doing a kickass job on Colin's truck. I love all this suspension stuff. It looks fantastic, keep it up.
Rudy is showing he's a genius.
Those wheels are give your lil bro's truck a killer look
Rudy - you didn't show off the coolest part of the Watts link - it keeps the axle centered, even when only one side of the suspension flexes! Leaving his dad’s shop to run his own shop was a great move his fab skills are pretty amazing and this truck build is going to be sick when done.
That's a really cool way of centering the axle. Also, that CAD work he makes look so easy...that's a ton of math that he's nailing and not really bragging about.
Happy birthday Rudy the rear suspension looks awesome even dirt head dave Chappell would approve
Rudy you are quite the craftsman. Nice job on this suspension.
I think you make a couple of other you tubers jealous. Including you dad😂 exquisite what your doing. Other are nice to well build. Sema quality
I love the inverted V of the Watts Link. It acts as a natural bump stop to keep it from flipping. Your explanation was absolutely on point.
Ahhhhhh, the big brother's love for little bro. Going the extra ten thousand miles to do some cool fabbing for his ride. So right when you stepped back to admire the creation, it is a cool design. Holy crap Rudy you out did yourself on that suspension… Pretty clever! 🤩
It is absolutely amazing watching this guy work! He has many of his dad’s abilities intertwined with so many raw talents it’s unbelievable! Truly a pleasure to watch, truly!
Happy birthday Rudy! So cool watching you and Kaulen working on his Chevrolet. Impressive fabrication skills.
Rudy, I'm amazed at your skills. Thanks for sharing.

Rudy, you’re an absolute genius!! Just love watching you come with the build solutions blows my mind!!!
These last few videos have been my favorite of yours by far hands down! Hope to see more
GEEZE YOUR welds are so pretty!!!!! your CAD work is incredible, those long arms are gonna ride so smooth
thats just art at this point!! What a fine work you are doing thre
Happy Birthday Rudy, Truck is looking awesome.
Rudy, watching you build the rear suspension is on of the coolest things ive ever seen. ive been retired for many years but I'm still a dyed in the wool hot rodder and car nut. thanks for sharing that and being humble about it! I don't know what else to say, just keep doing it dude!!!!
This looks better than most SEMA build I've seen
Rudy, you’re an artist and a craftsman. Love to see you and your brother working together - that truck will be part of some great memories. Happy birthday!
Just about unbelievable, but I’ve seen it happen, in front of my eyes!!! Wonderful! Congratulations! (and I don’t mean your birthday, oh, congratulations to that too)
Man I’m happy to see you doing this Rudy. And your talents are unsurpassed. Your Bro so deserves this.
Amazing how you applied various mechanical principles and concepts to obtain a specific, superior design!
Hi Rudy,
You are a fabulous artist and fabricator. Your skills and abilities far exceed your young years. You have totally amazed this old man mechanic / municipal fabricator, I’m impressed. Keep up the good work!
That's way cool Rudy !
Can't wait to see finished project !
That's awesome Rudy, I love watching this build. I like all your lifted builds too, but this is something different from the norm and really shows off your fabrication skills. Plus the fact that you're doing it for your brother makes it special. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Outstanding build young man
Hey Rudy, I’m loving this build! The rims are perfect and worth the work. You have one luck little brother. You’re a good guy!
And Happy Birthday ya filthy animal!!!
"You just have to have confidence that you can make it better than it was before." Yep! I felt that! :)
You are spoiling us Rudy between the Ford and your brother’s truck, absolutely love this kind of content. I would love to see your dad’s impression of this craftsmanship on Collins truck

Nothing like a good whiteboard session👍 Thanks Rudy.
This is one of the coolest builds I've ever seen. Absolutely incredible!
Wonderful job done, nice to see Janelle again, hope the best for you and her studies
Low rider in Utah? The sign at the border says it all “ Utah Life Elevated “. 🤣😂🤣 Just kidding it coming out great. Can’t wait for it to run the Chute.
Great Job Rudy 🎉
Looks amazing 😊
Dude im so stoked about this build and the badass skill Rudy has. All i keep saying is damn thats badass 😂
Rudy you have got to get a camera and lights mounted under there to show it off on an in-car screen. Too amazing not to be able to see it in action while driving.
Not a fan of lowering but this is starting to look really cool😊
Totally Amazing.... Great Job Rudy... So enjoy the quality of your work.
This is the coolest rear suspension I’ve ever seen, and I’m an old guy and seen a lot 😎
hey Rudy, that rear suspension on Kaulin truck is so Trick..
Your vision for Fabrication is off the charts. Not just HD bracketed,

Your explanations on your engineering are excellent, which makes the viewing enjoyable. Thanks and Happy Birthday 👍👍👍!
Rudy.. you have a talent for this!! this is just AWESOME!!!
Hey Rudy you need a set of dump valves for the air bags.
Now we know why Coleen bought the XJ. This one is not going to work for recovery’s. Sweet Rudy. Thanks.
Maybe because Rudy is gonna take the truck for himself. 😉
* Kaulin, not Coleen.
Happy birthday Rudy
Your Fab work is amazing man. Keep up the great work 👍
Rudy is a artist 👍
The first couple minutes of this video was totally your dad's style fab work. I approve! Good job Rudy. My only gripe is that you didn't use a claw hammer. C'mon man, it was right there. Hahaha
Absolutely killing it on this one Rudy pretty great design
I love it!! This build is so different. I am so excited to see the progress and you vision come together:)
Another really interesting & somewhat comlicated looking video about building a complex, but very cool looking suspension system... congrats Rudy!!! 🙃
Awesome designs! You’re a fabrication genius Rudy!👍🏼💪🏼🤙🏼
Rudy, you are a craftsman and an artist! Looks great and should work as intended!!
I truly enjoyed watching this video. You have such a genius clever mind Rudy.
Rudy. We need some Comanche footage!! I just gave my dad's 84 2.8 to a friend of mine with a 3.4 Camaro v6 for it. So hopefully he will do a good job with it. I really want a J10 though!!
