I'm not a fireman, but I aspire to be one. My body is not even in the acceptable physical fitness yet.So I'm just starting out with strengtening my stamina first. But this video is nice. This might help me in planning my self training regimen in the future. Thanks a lot.

This will definitely help. Start slow and have a plan, it sounds like you are doing the right things. Build stamina, strength, power then really work on recovery ... Let me know how I can help. #GETFRF

as a 5’6 almost 16 year old female if I build a lot of stamina and strength over the next couple years (and hopefully grow taller) will the odds be a little more likely of becoming a firefighter?

You are young, just work on establishing good habits.. both in the gym and in life. Work hard at your fitness and studies and good things will happen.. including a job in the fire service. Let me know what I can do to help.

Hello, I want to improve my fitness because I will be a firefighter. What are the training tips for me as a firefighter? How many weights do you use in your training and what are the standards approved by you? Thank you.

Great questions. One of the things I recommend is to start with the R50 Program with FRF. This free program will give you insight on how to train functionally for the job. www.R50Challenge.com

Is there anything I can do at my local fire department at 14? Maybe I could volunteer and help clean the trucks or the house. I'm not much of a chef and I know they gotta stay fit, so that's off the list.

Hey Morgan, thanks for the message. First thing is to keep up on your studies, you need to take some entrance exams that require some math so make sure you apply your studies. Next thing is to prepare physically. Start with working mobility and strength and build in your cardio and stamina. Here is a great place to start for more information: get.firerescuefitness.com/40freeworkout
