    Hey Chloe, I just found your channel, and the one common thread in your video's is that you take PRIDE in your work.
    I REALLY like that. Unlike some other channels where the person says after they break or deface something is "whatever".
    So, it's really nice to see someone do a good presentation. Thank you.

    I have been watching your videos for about a year now, and I really enjoy your accessorie reviews and installation videos. My wife has a 2017 Tacoma and I have a 2020 4runner trd pro, although your videos geared more for Tacoma's i find them very helpful and informative for finding the right accessories for my 4runner and our Tacoma. The seat jackers are next on my list for our Tacoma and 4runner along with the inflation system, and many other accessories you have reviewed and use. Keep the great videos coming!!

    I have 1 ton jack I’ve been carrying for years. I mounted it on the side Molle panel. It rests some on the wheel well hump. But after I secure it’s pretty stable. I also run a tonneau cover and I can lock the tailgate. That way you can keep your stuff with you all the time. I like your fire extinguisher mount. That’s really cool.

  • @agfa663

    To secure your traction bostds, a strait metal rod that passes between both hook screws. Drill a hole at each end of the rod. Put a padlock on both holes. This way people will not be able to unscrew the hook-crews. Prime the bar with etching primer then spay a black rust paint on them. I would paint the hook-screws as well.

    great start! i really like the mount for the fire extinguisher. As for the jack you could look into the mount they sell in the accessories page of their site, could probably bolt it down into the bed somewhere, but its a pretty spendy mount that i bet you could save a bunch of money and make up something yourself with the same concept on your own. the next thing you need in your recovery gear is a bag with kinetic tow straps and extra shackles.. having a tow hitch receiver shackle mount is a great thing coupled with the kinetic strap because you never want to rely on someone else's gear to get you out if you're stuck, quickest ticket to getting your truck damaged unnecessarily. beyond the straps and shackles, i'd suggest a winch with tree saver straps and a snatch block. there are so many great ways to mount winches to these tacomas, you can do it with no bumper upgrades or you can go for looks and get a new high clearance bumper at the same time. great work on the videos, keep it up!

    Some wood or metal bars assembled into a frame for the bed could be used to keep the jack (or other stuff) from rolling around. Bike locks would help keep them secure if needed. I'm thinking of a lockable hardtop tonneau cover for my Colorado.
    I dig the fire extinguisher mount. Gonna have to find me one of them.

    hi, for your jack pro eagle you can put it strap on your recovery boards ... you take the jack perpendicular to the middle of the recovery boards and with 2 strap tie down in X which passes behind the recovery boards and in front, you can fix the jack ... crosswise with the recovery boards ...

    Cool "cheap" option for the molle bed panels. If people are looking for high quality, heavy duty ones, I can't recommend the Rough Country ones enough. They are the most affordable option out there but they are heavy powder coated steel. Definitely will have to invest in one of those jacks eventually. In asking about mounting, if you go with the heavier molle panels you can strap it to that (wheels against the panel). I've seen someone else mount their's that way.

  • @prslespaul
    @prslespaul 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You could try the Heininger Hitchmate and the Hitchmate 4017 bracket arm to lock your jack in place. I use it for stuff like that all the time, the only failure I'd see is the jack being too low profile for it to hold it good enough to trust. Worth looking into though!

    Nice video, with the gear and mods and the tire size upgrade what mpg do you currently get?
    I am a Tundra driver and have been considering a Taco as I do not haul or tow much. I used to have 35” tires which feel sluggish and kill mpg to around 13-15. Thanks for suggestions!

      I get about 17 in the city, 20 on the highway. My tires are 265/70/R17 BFG KO2s

    How did you decide on what fire extinguisher you would get and what brand is it?

    Love the fire extinguisher I think I might put a set up like that in my truck. I can understand why you would use your jack in your garage or your driveway but it doesn’t make much sense to me for a Off roading. My two favourite options would be a heavy-duty bottle of Jack. Great little tool and you don’t even have to necessarily get under the truck to remove it you can even drive off of it. And of course I am a big fan of the highlift Jack I know a lot of people say they’re dangerous but they’re only dangerous if you miss used it. if you show it respect and use it correctly it is a great multitool. You can use a highlift Jack with other accessories to do a multitude of jobs you can jack up your vehicle if there’s an accident you can use it as a spreader open doors or pull the steering wheel out of someone’s chest. It works as a winch which means you can pull your vehicle out or remove a tree from the trail. I’ve even used a highlift Jack as an extreme heavy duty clamp. These would be my preference, however a friend of mine doesn’t carry the bottle of Jack he carries an exhaust jack and sometimes it’s really good tool. The advantage of it and exhaust jack is you can fit it under your truck when there is not a lot of space . there are times We use the exhaust jack to lift up the truck and put the traction boards under the wheels so we don’t even have to do any digging at all. Once again God I hate that little shovel.
