    Nice mods! You have chosen popular branded names and have done the installs without compromising on technique. I have an Army Green 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport and am looking forward to modding it with much of the same equipment that you have. I’m going with the Toyota 2 inch lift kit for warranty issues on the Safety Sense options. I don’t off road much and don’t do the rock crawling. I need the lift and bigger tires due to deep snow here in Wyoming. I’ve followed your vids and enjoy your style and demeanor. Keep them coming.

    Nice vid! Cody is a shade lover!😂 Finally doing tires in the next week or so. On the fence still between KO2’s (my fav aesthetically, but heaviest and most expensive) and the Faulken Wildpeak AT3’s, which seem to be great all around but not as good looking. Also trying to decide to go up 1” (no lift) or stay stock size. Fog lights in stock location also on my short list, I think the Baja’s are the way to go. Never considered seat covers, but these you have look really good! If the snow ever stops here in Colorado I will hit the build hard!

    I actually think I'm gonna basically copy your builds for my dads truck scince he likes his vehicles to me as stock as possible but still add functionality and protection. Most builds are quite agressive with cutting, bending, chopping, and welding stuff in the truck, so I can bet he won't be comfortable cutting into his new truck. One question, how long you had the truck stock before you started modifying things like suspension, bumper, lights, the air compresor, bed storage, etc? Like, before you could say what you needed

    Great vid and mods, I have a 05 4Runner with bumpers, lift, sliders, etc. I have BFG KO2s in 255/75R17 and been very happy with them but tires are something I see people get very opinionated on, but for me, it works great as daily and off road. Sliders and skid plate are my second group of mods I'm happy with cause that extra body protection just gives such a peace of mind and actually saved my body panel when I pivoted into a ditch.
    I made the mistake of adding ARB LED fog lights into the bumper as while they're SAE compliant, their output is almost negligible, and I may go with the same ones you got.
    On board air compressor made my life so much easier as well, got the same single ARB compressor as you, they're great.

    Noob Alert: I bought a 2018 Tacoma and added the TRD PRO black wheels like yours. I guess I always misunderstood wheel diameter. You can get a 17 inch tire on a "16 inch" rim set?
    Thanks or the great video as well. Costing me more money, but great video!

    "My 7 favorite mods"...aka.....all the mods I've done. Just messing with you and your truck is very sweet with the setup you've done. Any plans on doing a RTT going overloading? I have a mod I think you would love, get some Rough Country molle panel bed inserts. They are a great mod and the price is good for what you get. I will say don't get them if you plan on getting a decked system though.

    Is it possible to make a video on replicas vs OEM wheels ? And how to spot a replica?

    Yes Chloe is absolutely right you can buy your rock sliders local and save yourself a bunch of money I ordered my rock sliders from white knuckle in Apple Valley California. Now my rock sliders cost $775 that was powder coated and Dom steel. They’re full diamond top plates powder coated an additional $200 bringing my total to $975. In addition I paid $375 to have them shipped from California to Alberta Canada I also had to pay an additional customs charge of $176 . So that cost me an additional $551. Now I bought white knuckle rock sliders because the quality is unmatched by nobody I paid to have them shipped because it is an amazing product the best I’ve ever seen. Now of course if the border had been opened and not closed I would’ve drove down there and pick them up and put them on how to turn it into a holiday/pick up my rock sliders the $551 would’ve easily paid for all the gas money I know if I had a good Road trip to boot. So Chloe‘s right consider local you could save yourself a lot of money however if you find that product you absolutely love . find out how much it is to ship and then find out how much it is for you to go collect it yourself you might end up getting yourself a road trip to another part of the country you’ve never considered before and the money you would’ve paid for shipping would’ve paid for the road trip.

      Honestly, they get a little hot. I rarely wear shorts so I'm fine, but I'd suggest either tinting your windows or getting a lighter color than black if you expect to be in hot weather. Hope this helps!

      I've always wanted to try out Toyo open countries or Falken Wildpeaks. I think although BFGs have a flatter tire profile, their tread design is what makes them a little flawed in the rain.

    @Chloe Kuo, how do you feel about your seat covers compared to the OEM leather seats?
    I would prefer the leather but wondering if the seat covers are worth the compromise?

    • @ChloeKuo
      @ChloeKuo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I think it comes down to preference. The OEM leather is the better-fitting of the two if you really are picky, but PRP seats look pretty OEM as well (and are customizable). In terms of feel, if you want something a little squishier, PRP is the way to go because of that extra cushion--the OEM ones are much stiffer but some people like that better. The OEMs also come with heated seats I believe, so they are better than PRPs in that sense. Hope this helps!
