Sublimating a Ceramic White Tile with Laminate

    There is no need to throw away tiles. Just heat press for a few seconds, peel up and discard laminate. Use a bit of oil (I use coconut oil on my finger) to remove the glue residue. The wash with dish detergent to remove oil. Let dry completely since ceramic tile absorbs moisture (can put in warm oven).
    Clean each tile with alcohol before applying next laminate sheet.

      Your very welcome and that was the point I was trying to make...like you I wasted tons of tiles thinking it wasn't right

    Looks great! You can remove the laminate, if it doesn't work. It just peels off!

      I've never tried to peel off once I've subbed my image but I have pulled off the laminate if it didn't press right and redone it...hope this helps

      @@MagsSubbly you can remove the laminate easily by re-heating regardless if it has been sublimated on.

    What is the temperature and time you used for the laminate sheet? Also what was the time and temperature for the picture? Your video was awesome and I really enjoyed how you took the time to explain each step. You are the best.

      Thank you for that feedback...I believe snd glad you liked the video...off the top of my head as stateded in the video I pressed the laminate at 180 for 90 secs but pls don't quote me as I record all my settings but I'm away on holiday at the moment...then I believe I subbed the image for something like 180 secs but again pls refer to my comments in the video

    I just bought the sawgrass and not sure what I’m doing wrong
    I’ve just tried T- shirt and mouse mat and a jigsaw colours where so off

    is there a special laminate sheet to use or can you use any laminate sheets

      So long as their thermal ones upu can use any

      Yes is printed from my epson ET 14000 (uk) using sublimation inks with a profile installed

      Hi there thank you and glad you liked it...yes I have 2 printers an epson et14000 plus a sawgrass sg 1000...I believe I get better colour from my epson and the customer service is fabulous from ink experts whom I purchased it from...pls like and subscribe to my channel for auto notifications were ill be doing a similar process with wood shortly

      Thank you very much..I believe temp was 180 x 90sec to laminate then was same temp but 180secs for picture...glad you liked it so pls like and subscribe ( you'll get auto notifications when i post new videos ) as I'll be doing the laminating onto wood shortly

      thanks for asking because she said 180 minutes rather than 180 seconds in the video and did not say what the temperature was for doing the picture.
