    GULD came out between STIG and JARN.

      You are correct, in fact we are twice wrong because the Guld AND Reko X came out in between, I think I only have eyes for the Jarn. Apologies for our error.

      Well basically it's just the second retooling of the Grym 😅

    MidRanges have rims between 12mm and 15mm wide. 16mm is a Fairway driver (for example, a Leopard is a Fairway, as we all know).
    And I might have thrown the Leopard instead of the Leopard3. It's not like the L is discontinued, and it's the same speed-category as the Stig, with it's 16mm rim. Wouldn't make a huge difference though, as the L3 doesn't get but a few extra feet over the L.

      I'm also a little disappointed that the Leopard was left out of the comparison. it's probably the most popular midrange-ish fairway if you decide that the 6,5 speed Crave doesn't qualify. I throw Signal and Fission Hex for this slot, and while both discs get the job done and fly about the same distance, they definitely do it different ways.

    It is such a great disc. Love it. If thrown with a hyzer, it just pops up and holds the straight line forever. Epic anhyzer disc.And the new K1 plastic, which you somewhat ignored that it differs since they moved the manufacturing to Latitude, is simply one of the best on the market.
    One thought on Svea, it seems to me after couple videos you have not quite understood it throwing it flat at max speed. It is not meant to be thrown at max speed. I feel it as a great beginner disc. Even with my noodle arm power I throw it flat at some 80% max, on full power I give it a good amount of hyzer. Thrown like that it glides forever. Not that far as Wingman Havran or Axiom Hex, but almost. And I love it for C3 putts.

    Would have been nice to see it compared against Ascend by Streamline, similar numbers and flight. I love it for turnovers.

    • @SixSidedDiscs
      @SixSidedDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Ascend that I picked out for my wife was hilariously overstable, obviously plenty of things can play into that but even for me I could barely get it to turn, critically, before my elbow injury got worse.

      @@SixSidedDiscs now I really wanna try the Stig and see how it compares. I am a lanky limbed muscle boi and put some speed on my throws so perhaps it will throw like a faster Paradox? We’ll see

    • @SixSidedDiscs
      @SixSidedDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TomDub20 If your Paradox is as flippy as it has been when we've thrown it, the Stig should have a little more stability than that, that +1 fade definitely came in on some of the shots we saw.

      That's typical MVPitis, the opposite of Kastaplastitis😂Same with my Drift and Relay, sure they turn over on a good nose-down 400ft throw, but when thrown at a comfortable speed, they're pretty much just straight.
      On the other hand, many manufacturers rate roller discs with only -2 turn, which IMO is not a great choice since that's still three whole numbers away from the extreme -5 where most fast rollers should belong. I think Rhythm for example should've kept the -3 for the turn instead of trying to base off the Innova legacy scale. When a disc turns over from medium hyzer or goes into a cut roller on a flat 400ft throw, that should definitely warrant a spot closer to -5 than 0.@@SixSidedDiscs

    How does this compare to a regular leopard? They have the same flight numbers?

    • @SixSidedDiscs
      @SixSidedDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. It would likely depend on the plastic as a DX, Star and Champion Leopard are going to fly pretty differently to one another. Remember flight numbers are not super accurate when compared from one manufacturer to the next. I've heard some people say the Stig was a little stable for them. If a Leopard is Understable for you, you might want a lighter weight Stig or maybe a K3 one if they make that in the future.

    • @SixSidedDiscs

      I would compare the Stig to a Star or Champion Leopard, which I think is a 6/5/-2/1? I'm more familiar with DX Leopards for some reason, I think the Stig is nicely understable but probably more so for intermediate players.

    • @SixSidedDiscs
      @SixSidedDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This may offend some Kastaplasters but I should have said, "The last release I cared about was the Jarn" because I absolutely love the Jarn, it finally sealed that approach slot for me after trying everything else. The Guld is too much like the Rive which I like, and the Reko X is unique, but doesn't fit my hand well. So I guess I just erased my memory of them lol

      @@SixSidedDiscs I hated the Jarn at first and it has become my most thrown disc the last 6months in K3. Thank you for this great review, I’m upset the KaxeZ is gone as it was my straightest flying “mid” that handled torque. I’m excited about this Stig as my hand hates the feel of a traditional mid, so these 6 speed Kastas are perfect for feel.
