David didn't make the xenomorph. in the first alien, the ship was tens of thousands of years old and the fossilized engineer had its chest burst open from an alien. The black goo is extracted from the xenos and it can grant immortality if correctly administered and refined. The goo is a mutagen that the facehuggers use to implant a xeno into a host. This is all explained in the movies and people do not seem to understand that David was able to recreate a xenomorph by using the DNA of the xeno.
Yes David created the praetomorph by reverse engineering the xenomorph, giving the research to weyland yutani. He created his own species and queen with the black goo.
Honestly@@MoviesBallsDeep, prometheus sucked..even if he creates hisnown version you saw on the walls of an alien tyoe creature...id likr to think this as an alternate time line
@@MoviesBallsDeep were are you getting this wild crazy info. As per Ridley Scott David created the xenomorph…. Not the just the covenant one but all of them…
David didn't kill the engineers Ridley Scott himself has said that was another planet that the engineers had made live on not the engineers themselves...
Defo. It's a shame. I'm just glad Prometheus got acknowledged in Romulus so there is hope yet. The best bit of Romulus was the 5 seconds when it played the Prometheus theme 😂
what gets me is that David wants to create his own creation, but uses someone elses blueprints to create that. So you're not creating anything new. He's more like Lucifer, wants to be GOD but can't truly create anything of his own.
I think thats the whole thing. He is Lucifer, he goes to heaven and kill its inhabitants and his creation go on to torment humans. He is basically the devil
Not sure it matters who creates the element you use. It's more about the combination used with those elements that makes the miracle happen. I paint pictures, but I don't create the paint use. I draw inspiration from others paintings to make my own paintings but ultimately they are all paintings.
The addition of the black goo has created the most complicated and confusing aspect to all these relationships imo. The xenomorph has always existed, but in what form? Are they different from what David created? And if not, then how did the original Xenomorphs evolve if David's Xeno's required humans?
The xenos we see in covenant are protomoprhs or praetomorphs. If you compare them with the og xenos there's a lot of difference in how they look even act. Where David's version are more vicious and savage where the og xenos have more intelligence to how they hunt
@greywolf535 true, and we've yet to see how or if he continues to tweak them. However, his face huggers did not seem that different than the originals. And he used human parts to create something he never knew existed. To him it's a completely original creation. So to create something using human parts that so closely replicates the originals, seems far too coincidental
@greywolf535 but he had no experience or exposure to the original Xeno's to know their structure and development timeline. His only exposure to Xeno's was maybe those in covenant that may have been a happy accident from his genocide. He would have no knowledge of face huggers and eggs. Only if he found an engineer database that recorded their experiences with Xeno's. But he sees his Xenos as original creations, not replications of, and therefore implies he does not have this info. We're still missing a lot of timeline info, but as it stands there are some glaring paradoxes and inconsistencies with the uncanny similarities while working in a vacuum.
@narcosys6934 he experimented on wildlife and surviving engineers and had access to their computers. For roughly 11 years he logically would get it right. Being a synthetic AI makes would help support that
Nobody created the xenomorph. The black goo originally came from the xenomorph. It's pretty much their semen in a sense. Life in it's most primordial form essentially. The engineers stumbled across the xenomorph species and found out about their black goo they hold. The blood of the first deacon is what we saw in the beginning of prometheus when they created humans and hence the mural on their ship. The engineers found out they could create and destroy with this black goo and started experimenting with it. David only continued their work and created his own versions of the xenomorphs through his own experiments. The xenomorphs/deacons were around long before the engineers and David.
@lunarvvolf9606 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no he most certainly did not lmao. He said david created his own version 🤦♂️. You clearly have not followed the lore correctly. Go do some more research and figure it out.
-@@soldierboy2350- you have succinctly explained the entirety of this series of movies and the canon spin offs. Well done! I've been binging a bunch of these xenomorph videos to get ready for Romulus, and honestly, if you put out a thirty second clip just saying what you wrote, I think anyone with any questions or the (obvious) confusion of others, everyone would be on the same page! Prometheus and Covenant were excellent movies, but I think most people don't like to think too much during sci-fi/horror movies. Personally, I'd love another follow up with David and the engineers.
@@ravensmythe1"Prometheus and Covenant are excellent movies". Girl shut up, they really give us nothing in that movies. In the Prometheus movie, we couldn't even talk to the Engineer, and in the same movie, we learn in the last 2-3 minutes of the movie that there are more engineer ships on the planet. In the movie Covenant, we don't know where David got the organic molecule needed for the experiments he's working on. David killed every living thing on the planet that had animal cells. We also don't know how David managed to mutate fungi to produce parasitic spores. We don't know exactly what happens in these 2 films. These 2 movies aren't good or anything, you just think they're good because they show you something different.
TL,DR. I’ve seen mixed feedback on the Alien Queen. According to some, Ridley wasn’t a fan of the “Queen” in Aliens. His vision was for Xeno warriors to capture prey and trap them in the crystal substance… in turn leading to the birthing cycle of the Facehuggers… Also, all evidence points to Xenos *existing* even before the engineers got involved. At best, David genetically engineered them. Also, also… the “people” David genicided at the beginning of Covenant were *NOT* Engineers… this is also confirmed by Ridley… ijs
People still think of these things (1) The beings on Planet 4 are not Engineers (2) David did not create the Xenomorph. Some have even said that Ridley Scott has confirmed both... This is simply incorrect... on the contrary RS has a few times said the beings are Engineers and David had Engineered the Xenomorph... The drafts to the Movie also conclude both of these..... the source that Questions both is Alan Dean Fosters Novelization.
ALSO ALSO: The Spacejockey on LV 426 WAS an engineer, an entirely separate species than the ones we see in Promotheus, who likely modeled their spacesuits after them. A biological adaptation in deep space, much like how humans copy natural things to integrate into our technology.
@@davebear9825 Respectfully. Then Ridley himself is to blame. The mural on LV-223 clearly shows a “Xeno-type” creature. I think it becomes a little semantic-y to state that David “created” something that *clearly* existed. Evolved/engineered (genetically) is something I can get behind, but there is empirical evidence that they existed (in some form) prior to David. Your bullet point said “created” then your comment proceeded to explain “engineered”. They are very different things.
@@davebear9825 It's safer to say that David created a species of Xenomorph as there is also evidence of other xenomorphs having already existed. Like Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals. (Homo neanderthalensis) Ridley Scott is also a prideful and religious man that it took two failed movies and a Disney accusation to humble him enough to let him let other creators try to make since of the entire mess he created. Can't wait for Alien Earth, heard that they are out right going to ignore Prometheus and Covenant and the creator even got RS's blessing to do it. womp womp.
Now we just need a movie explaining the deacon or the orgininal xenomorph species that was in the wall in prometheus. Least thats what I'm hoping for because I wanna know where this black goo came from, and I pretty sure its lining up to be whatever was on that wall.
@@Hugo97HD One of the production designers from Prometheus, Steve Messing, specifically states in an interview that the mural was put there as a tribute/homage to H.R. Giger. To quote: "I also sculpted an altar area for this set that paid homage to Giger -it is a relief sculpture hanging from the wall and has the impression of an alien form with flowing structures surrounding it. There are a lot of easter eggs in this sculpture - including several hidden Giger motifs that were not used in the original film." Seriously. That's all it was.
About David, he didn't create the xenos, as a species, only recreated, or invented, something similar. Besides of that, I've heard, in the RPGs lore, people say it's hinted that David is believed to be somewhere in a specific area of space where colonies go dark, him bombing them with the black goo, to "create" by destroying, I guess. Why this isn't a movie, or a comic, is still inconceivable to me. But, to be fair, "Alienated: Inconvenient" was an abomination, so bad, it's not even funny, so I do understand keeping this part of the story away from the rest of the franchise. Well, maybe "Romulus" can change that, now that it's successfull.
Hi All, Most of us die hard & true Alien fans know that the original Alien story was the brain child of writer Dan O'Bannon, who wanting to write a science-fiction action film, collaborated with screenwriter Ronald Shusett on a script, initially titled Star Beast, but eventually changed to Alien. That original story was a true Sci-Fi original work albeit influenced and borrowed elements from other works or ideas at the time. There was ALOT of work invloved. Hard work. Which sadly is very missing from the shoddy and flimsy movies we get these days. After Alient 3, which was just about rescued by Fincher through his grit and strength of character, the franchise regrettably became a bit of a joke and it is sad that a beautiful IP has suffered such a disgrace ever since. I mean if you look back at the Space Jocky (not an engineer) and that beautiful but mysterious biomechanical juggernaut you immediately get a sense of awe and wonder..... who were these ancient beings, where did they come from? Where were they going? What had happened to the pilot that he became infected? Where did all these eggs come from and how?.... Sadly all these were lost and it would have been a truly amazing saga to follow up on these and make equally stunning works like 2001: A Space Odessy, or Isaac Asimov's epic Foundation Triology, to name but a few. Instead we got half-baked concepts with shit-poor scripts and mediocre casts going off into incoherent tangents that really crippled the franchise and we ended up with nonesense. Sci-Fi is a respectable genre because very often the authors have real talent and more often than not have enough common sense and understanding of real world laws of physics, chemistry biology and maths : i.e. were educated, smart as well as being creative and visionary. It's OK to just want to be thrilled and scared for about an hour and half as an escape from reality, but also at the same time we also should get something that makes sense and is engaging. But, that's what I think.
Alien not only inspired me to write my own fan crossover with halo, but it's been inspiring strange work for a long time. Even Frieza wouldn't be the same without this creature...
@@mkno2799 it's not done yet, it has been planned as a mod for MCC for a long time now nearly since MCC came out. I mean to say I have basically thought up designs for vehicles, enemy types and a bunch of lore So for context this project has a world of its own, it isn't like halo: Acheron an old story I've read before that I can't remember the author of it find, where a UNSC frigate carrying blue team and some ODST find a distress beacon for another UNSC ship that had crash landed when coming thru slippsace, the result being travel between universes landing them outside the Hadley's Hope Colony from Aliens, which also seems to be an alt universe since Ripley and the Marines are never shown to have shown up yet, or have been notified at all. My story doesn't do that My story, the working title so far being a few titles, as I wanted to make some movie quality stories and have them kind of spin into each other, to help blend the setting. One story is the covenant explaining how long they have run into the pesky vermin, the xenomorph they call vermin. They also call humans that but this time it means big bug. Another tale involves predator, but predator isn't around until it is. The third story, my favorite is the one being worked on and it's call Halo/Aliens: Fear of the Dark, and it introduces the guy I have step in for master cheif since I can't use that character. Basically it explains Spartan O'Rourke and gives us a one off if what might happen if their world's met in a particular way... What if I child survived a colony infestation like newt did, and then became a spartan 3 just before the events of reach. There was even a plan to get a Minecraft server going to train players in the game to pull of operations that were story driven, but we're designed to change the story based off the outcome, and involve the players directly in it. Most of this would take place before the main mod itself, so that no one is confused about which characters are which.
@@srmitch9260 it will be readable but only some parts. Because my introduction to halo came thru aliens and I taught my brother aliens thru halo, I see only one way, mods. And luckily for me, aliens colonial marines and aliens vs predator 2010 have NPCs I can port and work on. So it plays like halo for the most part, but your melee is controlled by directional input and you can block
I think my favorite plot point was showing a child who had survived in a colony like newt, but showing them be forced to become a spartan at the hands of Oni. It fits too well, because the spartan 3s were not picked for genetic comparability as much as they were checked for resistance to surgical shock. Damage to tissue that kind of thing. If their world's met, the traumatized child would be... The same as the rest of the Spartans, no different. Except where these Spartans know their job is to fight hostile alien religious zealots... His trauma, O'Rourke's I mean, is different. Unlike other Spartans, he has a rather blank expression set and voice. He only growls and shows a change in voice when up against the perfect organism. Spartan Destroyer, one of humanities monsters sets is sights on the very creatures god used to wipe arrogant space faring life from the galaxy. But he's also a personal reference. When playing halo, I and my brother were sometimes compared to real Spartans, I've even been called hyperlethal vector before. That strength, that will to react faster, was because as a child I knew what aliens could do to you, if you lost. I trained until my moves became a controlled dance, like that of the predator... All because the alien became my one true enemy. Haunting my nightmares, until I became the best there is at fighting them. I made this lore, I make this mod... To show everyone the world I could always imagine as a child. I needed to let everyone see why I always said we needed a block function in halo. It wasn't tense enough. But also, it reminded me that AVP 2010 had dangers halo reach didn't, and learning to fight one helped me destroy the other. So i wrote O'Rourke and made sure it was clear that his burning desire to wipe the bugs from the universe is why he had earned the recognition of a hyperlethal vector, in his world he might be the only one. Just like I might be the only who's ever used their strange dreams, probably a mental condition, to see the alien as if it were really able to hurt me. If you wonder why the crossover, it's because the Alien was always a beast I needed to destroy, and Spartans were my answer to that. Spartans, humanity's monsters, were more than capable of destroying the hive forever. Now you know what haunts me...
I don’t think David is Dead, I think he’s alive and became the head of Weyland Yutani. As we know corporations are legally entities of their own. But, in this case he would be the entity of the company that created him.
@@MoviesBallsDeep in like 2018 I saw video that theorized David Sacrificing himself in order to evolve the Xenos with Mechanic parts. Though that sounded cool I think it’s very unlikely. But it makes sense as he kinda followed the Engineers’ way of living in terms of making sacrifices. But he also kind of rejected it as well
It's entirely possible that Shaw was still infected. That David didn't directly kill her. That he really did love her and tried, in his own way, to save her.
Prometheus and Covenant is just a complete mess due to bad writing, a lack of focus, a change of focus (they originally were going to make a prequel but Fox told them make it more original), too many escape hatches and just an utter lack of commitment to anyone idea. imo it should just be cut away and redone or just out right ignored officially. Black goo in Alien Romulus is great because it doesn't try to explain the origins of the xenomorph, it's just black goo that does messed up things. Leave the Engineers, and the origin of the Xenomorph a mystery. Like in alien, leave hints of the existence of the Engineers. A ruin that alludes to their existence but is faded of any detail of who they are. Could even go as far as in Prometheus in the ancient tablets, allude to them being our creators but don't show them to us. Don't make them real to us. Keep them in the darkness, enshrouded in the mystery of the abyss. Making them real, giving them human motivations is what lead to this mess. Keep them as a ghost of the franchise.
IMO and from what Ridley has recently said in interviews was that planet 4 was just another planet created by the engineers and not their actual home world. Hence why they all looked up at the arrival of David as a return of their “God.” And I do believe that the Engineer who sacrifices himself in the beginning of Prometheus is doing so NOT on Earth, but actually on Planet 4
@@SullyCortezyou are so way off, just look at the movie script notes and it contradicts what your saying. The sacrificial engineer was 100% earth. The planet David bombed was full of engineer civilians. Unlike the engineers we see in suits who all had genetically modifications to serve as essentially military men. The engineers we saw David kill were just civilians whether that was their homework’s or not could be argued but that was def engineers and they were welcoming home a military vessel they thought was lost
I wonder what happeded to all of the replicants in the Bladerunner universe. Both of them exist in the same world. Those androids where wayyy more advanced than David before he was created in 2080's
@@zockerking2061 According to Ridley Scott, they are. Take that for what it's worth, as it may not jibe with your headcanon, but there are references to Blade Runner in Prometheus.
If David created the xenomorph, was he working, with some of the engineers? Because on the first alien movie in an engineer was flying and crashed a ship full of cargo of eggs.
He did not created the xenomorph, he created only a variant of xenomorph. The xenomorph were around from much time, in One of the comic Is even showed the original Planet of xenomorph with their Natural predator too...
David didn't kill the engineers, nor is the planet where he dropped the nukes with the black goo their hometown. They are humanoids, that resemble the engineers and were created by them, but their eyes are more human like. Even the gesture of the ships arrival is perceived as an arrival of their gods, which in itself makes sense given that David took control over it. The engineers have pitch black eyes, big stature and white pale skin, whereas the humanoids are more human like in their skin color.
The fact that they didn’t reference David8 in alien Romulus is a slap in the face! Instead they gave us a botched engineer alien hybrid that looked mad weird
I think you missed the whole damn point of what was shown. 1. Weyland Yutani discovered David’s research following the events of Covenant 2. WeyYu sent the Nostromo by LV-426, a planetoid that was in the same system as LV-223 (Zeta2 Reticuli) likely due to the distress signal received and the fact it was similar to the signal found in David8’s research. 3. Alien: Romulus depicts WeyYu recovering XX-121 from Alien, using it to study and recreate the black goo from Prometheus in a way that would benefit humans and “perfect” us. 4. The Offspring was a HUMAN/XENOMORPH fusion not a Engineer Creation. Romulus furthered the story of David without compromising the Alien mythos.
because they are. In both movies highly trained people with amazing backgrounds somehow all have the IQ of livestock. Well I guess they are livestock now.
id say Davids actions make complete sense, its everyone else that seems to be making really dumb decision. but i think thats part of the nature of this sort of horror/disaster genre. if everything went right there would be no story
@@NIGHTGUYRYAN I highly doubt Weyland programmed David to commit genocide :P So in essence he was malfunctioning - his creator wanted to chase his own creators to save himself - not sent his pet android on a genocidal campaign to see if he could finger paint with DNA in order to create new species while having a god complex in the process :P
Ridley Scott should have left alien alone instead of making all kind of weird stuff up that doesnt make any sense like the alien astronaut growing out of a chair, making everybody believe it was some kind of suit while it is obvious that it was a skeleton of some kind of a weird biomechanical alien that had died from an alien bursting from his or her chest. To name just one thing.
I just click this video and had it on in the background for a solid 4-5 minutes and finally grabbed my phone to look and see what this channel name was because I was POSITIVE this was ABD. Sure enough lmao
min 2:50 so if David was created and he doesn't have a soul (were emotions exist in humans), then how could Wetland's words hurt David's (non existent) emotional capability?
Because Peter Weyland's treatment of David evolve into "curiosity and spitefulness". Plus, long periods of isolation (e.g. 10 years by himself on the 4th Planet) it's believed that the David model's behavior became too human/defective (emotional). Which is why the Walter model, with additional safeguards, was produced.
RS was trying to get us to Question a Soul...... it depends on what you think of a Soul. If we are talking about your Spirit/Consciousness after your Physical Body Dies....... then unless their is a afterlife etc... We don't have a Soul.... David can upload his conciouness to another Model or even the Computer Systems and so ironically he has a Soul he has a afterlife and Reincarnation
David is nothing but a young. Ridley Scott. Trying to rule all life. Live forever. I do believe that the xenomorph was around way before Prometheus. David wanted a piece of the action. To create a perfect life form. Bad news Scott. The Alien Queen is a part of the franchise. Get over it.
What's messed up is they actually changed the engineer's from what they real looked like in the past comics. In the past the engineer's were an Alien race that resembled elephants or the Alien pilot from original movies.
These new movies are so annoying. They’re desperately trying to rewrite origins of xenos. They should’ve just left it alone at the alien movies. Anyone who’s read the alien and predator comics and books can draw the links themselves in a similar way to how you felt after watching the original franchise. The new movies are just stretching tenuous links. An insult to us who grew up in the 80s.
Something I’m curious about is in alien, we find the crashed engineer ship, and an engineer has a hole in its chest from a chest burster, so what happened to that alien?
@@lunarvvolf9606 we don’t know that, there could’ve been remaining engineers that it hunted down, it could’ve killed off a civilization on LV223, maybe take your negativity and shove it
The pyramids in avp were built before humans had fully colonized earth and had any technology for themselves. the pyramid is where they went and sacrificed themselves for the predators to the alien queen so they could have their hunt which would mean that facehuggers and xenomophis were around long before David was even an idea of being made. Which would make it impossible for David to be the creator of xenomophis
I am so confused reading this comment section, I became of fan of this franchise after Prometheus so tried to watch them all(some are terrible)and get to know as much as I could and I’ve never read deeply into the lore and what’s canon/factual but as far as who created the xenos I keep reading conflicting comments both of which seem so certain so I don’t know what to think. I don’t know enough to say one way or the other, one person says no they’ve been around for 10’s of thousands of years and David made another version, and another says no no Ridley Scott confirmed David made the xenos but then someone argues against that so someone for the love of god please tell me! As far as I see David stumbled upon the black goo that came from the original xenos of which the engineers also experimented with and made a different version the praeto? And whatever other one and that the space jockey from the first alien had his chest blown out and that’s the first time we get acknowledgment of a xeno which was obviously way before any of the other movies. I honestly love Prometheus and covenant and the whole story line, the engineers and the concept of mankind being created and how etc but a lot of people don’t which I understand they say it over complicated the entire franchise and was unnecessary I have to assume most of the people who don’t like this timeline were fans of the original and obviously way before these newer ones ever came out, I’ve rambled on to long but I just wanna know what’s what thanks
Ridley Scott said David created the Xenomorphs. Nobody can argue against this. But in Pro.ethius there's that mural type thing on the wall that looks like a Xenomorph. And I think David said something about using other peoples work and perfecting it. And in Alien what's his face said something about the Space Jockey looking fossilized. People argue about anything and everything today. They say they want something different so they made Prometheus. Then they complained about it. So they changed Covenant instead of making the movie they wanted to make. Don't let other people ruin your enjoyment of the franchise.
@@williamgregg6339 i don’t let others ruin the franchise for me, Prometheus gets more hate then covenant I think but they both do I personally do not understand why… I love these movies but I love sci fi in general. It’s very difficult to make a good sci fi movie nowadays seems like you need a lot of $ but that’s not always the case, I just re watched both of them the other day and the original. I love the whole back story and toying with the idea of where mankind came from, engineers and space travel. I’ve read a lot of comments saying David did not create the xenos and Scott is being taken out of context so idk, I still will enjoy the movies
The whole point of Prometheus was about where humans came from, to find their creator and get answers about why we were created and then seemingly abandoned. It operated in a pre-Xenomorph discovery universe. This gets into theological areas which some audiences who just wanted more xenomorph were not expecting and some just down right detested. It also took artistic liberty and deviated from what the originals had established. The passion and vitriol comes down to subjective taste and expectation. Some just wanted a space monster movie and not a philosophical exercise on creation. Both have their own merits and flaws. I can enjoy a good monster flick without all the chicken or the egg first philosophy. But I also love a good philosophical puzzle/mystery. I also like campy feels. This franchise has all of it. I think that’s why it’s fascinating and why people get excited about it even decades later. And this will go on after we’re long gone I’d wager because there is no absolute agreed upon truth even among its creators and new audiences will see it through their own unique lenses in the decades to come. It’s art after all and to be enjoyed, interpreted subjectively, and discussed.
@@hughmcboo8329 well I think the way you summed this movie/the franchise up was a good way to look at it. I personally love Prometheus but I can still enjoy a good xenomorph rampage from time to time. I asked the question because I kept seeing people go back and forth on the topic and I never really looked into it so figured the comment section would be a good place to ask considering it’s filled with fans some of whom know a lot more then me. Prometheus is one of my favorite sci fi movies hands down, I look at it the same way you do and I know there is a lot of hate towards the 2 prequels
Yep same reason i come to watch these presentations, there are ultra well versed fans that can lay out the timeline of events and who was there, directors, writers, scripts, comics, etc. way more than I know. I loved Prometheus too. There was alot in that movie that was so cool.
How does the engineers not sacrificing themselves to xenomorphs cost them progress and make their civilization frail? Someone please explain that part to me.
The frailty is defined by David. Having morals and ethics cloud the “perfect creative progression” is flawed in his mind. Perfection and progress are subjective and in this case defined by David who is in essence Lucifer. But thats just how i understood it.
from what I have read it sounds like Romulus takes some ideas from the two Prometheus movies but would still the 3rd one that Scott wanted to do. I know they are owned by Disney now who can't really think creatively only ripping off what has been done before but I can still hope. At the very least they could officially link the movies by tying David to romulus some how in canon. You lay a good ground work. A deleted scene easter egg would at least be nice.
It’s obvious that David didn’t love Shaw. He doesn’t have a soul. He doesn’t know love. He’s a mimic. And Wayland is definitely Elon Musk 😆 For me, the black goo is like primordial evil. It’s like something out of The Matrix. It’s like organic/inorganic evil. It’s wild.
It's kinda like greek mythology where the titan eats the children to avoid being usurped, the god rebels for the right to exist, and the human rebukes to serve an inferior master. Each considers themselves to be superior, only seeing flaws in one another but finally realize after heartaches n such the potential of the other. I think humanity will always come out on top though being that we possess the greatest potential of all and David will eventually die in some sort of redemption act.
I want to see the conclusion of David's story. Make no mistake. This is David's story. He is a modern and terrifying Frankenstein. He is both monster and mad scientist
The only problem with this entire thing is alien verse predator when they stated the predators have fought against aliens for centuries before wayland corp was even a thing
This is what i fear we are on a path too. We remove our fangs so to speak. A man on a couch never made any thing worth of note. Only in struggle do we make things worth some thing of value. Look at animals. The smartest animals are the cruelest and kindest ones in equal parts.
Sorry, but Alien Romulus actually ignored Covenant and showed that the Xenos and Engineers came from the same source (ie Black Goo). Alvarez even said he didn't like the Covenant parts with David and the Xeno. In non of the movies with David, showed that he created a Queen. In fact Scott once said he didn't like Cameron's Queen, and he didn't like anything that came out after "his" first movie. He said that he felt the Xeno was dead, and wanted to focus on Synths. Prometheus was meant to be a origin story for the Xeno with the Deacon, and hints to it with H. R. Giger stuff. Like the wall with a Queen-ish and Facehuggers, and even the Dome. But there was suppose to be more, like Fifield, while infected his head was suppose take the shape of a Xeno. But Scott removed that, and hell, the Studio made him add a Xeno and Eggs to Covenant and he changed that. Cause David was meant to find the Eggs already there with the Engineers. But the official movie book re-adds that David found the already existing Eggs. Last Signs of Life mostly serves to further show us David's lab, and was a fun way to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of Covenant. It is questionable that its even canon, and there are a good number of mistakes in it. David was seen reaching out to WY at the end of Covenant, but given that he doesn't care for Humans it wouldn't make sense that he would tell them everything. He'd likely want to kill them off like he did to those Engineers, and we learn in Romulus that weapons and space wars wasn't the only goal of WY. They learned of the Black Goo from the Xeno that was from the first movie, and wanted to use it to make humanity perfect. Which is something David would not want. David himself doesn't directly connect to all the movies, thanks to Romulus the Black Goo and the Engineers (ie Space Jockeys) do. A bit of what is said in the video is guessing that David planned this or that etc.
@@mefirez The Engineers origins are unknown, but the Black Goo is suppose to be this creation of all life. That was the point of Prometheus. In Romulus we learn that both the Xeno and Engineer came from it. And I don't mean in the same way. Just look at the Offspring at the end of Romulus, its a Xeno/Engineer baby mix. Alvarez even said he wanted people to see the connection to the Engineers from Prometheus with the Offspring.
It's a bad look when viewers have to refer to director commentary, TH-cam and a wiki for the lore of the franchise to maybe make sense. Also the final cut is canon. If scenes are left on the cutting room floor they can't be considered canon. If Ridley Scott himself has to explain crucial parts of the lore instead of it being explained within the film/series, that's lame. The final cut to Prometheus and Covenant are terrible. Bad writing. Too many missed opportunities to really explore the Engineers, too many questions left unanswered and a clumsy execution of trying to connect Prometheus and Covenant to Alien.
The worst part is that in most cases including this one his original idea is pretty good, but then he lets others push him around and starts doubting himself and folds, he originally wanted this to be its own trilogy focused on the engineers but was browbeaten that noooo it needed to have more xeno-alien action and he folded like a camping chair which is how Prometheus got gutted and we got Covenant, then he still wanted another movie for his actual own idea of being about the engineers and have them respond to David plague bombing paradise but the same people again were like nooooo only xeno-alien action! So we got Romulus instead, wish Giger was still alive to stand by and support his friend and insist Scott does his original ideas
Life cycle of xenomorph understood but engineer story is untold we need explore that more and also do they created predators to teach earth how to build and stuff .... So more
I saw the movie Predator vs Alien Antarctica Ancient Predator A Cree Xenomorph after in the distant future David created the xenomorph. I don't understand which one created it?
No one in Hollywood or even remotely associated with Hollywood has the skill .... nah imagination ... to even nut the Aliens out. Put the franchise to pasture.
They failed at capturing and tried to create it however there is still a perfectly good planet out there with the Red and Blue Queens the true emperors. So why are we focused on these failed experiments for 4 movies goes completely beyond me.
Guys, can you explain to me the opening scene of the alien romolus when the ship gets the sample and they cut it open? What was that and when it happened?
David clearly is not that smart. He failed to realize he was not even close to being immortal. Simply having the ability to live very long does not make one immortal. The simple definition of immortal is "endless". David was easily ended but not for the very beings that created him, he would have ended. God is endless, He can not be ended, that is immortality. Even if David did not allow himself to be put in a position to be killed again ever, it would not ever change the fact that he is mortal just like that which created him. He will never be a God, nor will any creation of man or AI. God is the soul thing that is endless. The very thing so many desire to be but will never be but God give it to them. David is not that smart. Simply knowing all that is currently known is not really all that smart; for David or any AI, there is always more to discover and learn. God already knows everything there is to know. There is NOTHING that can be added to God because everything is by God. Hearing people speak about AI being immortal is foolish. Hearing AI thinking that it is immortal is just stupid. Just like satan wanting to be above his Creator, it is true ignorance for AI to think it can be above its creator. Indeed, for a fact, AI will never possess a soul. Imitation may flatter, but it is just imitation. Christ is the only Way to the Truth to have Life. I give all the glory to God Almighty for giving me what He gave me. I certainly am not worthy of such a gift but I'm thankful everyday that I know without question that God is. It is the only boast I have in me and I did nothing worthy to have this knowledge. All I did was seek the Truth knowing I needed something greater than I to change and in that search came to believe in my "heart" as I had never believed anything in my life that God is. In that very second of acknowledgement, is when I was shown the Truth of God. While there is time, I warn you all, seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ridley Scott was full of crap when he made Prometheus and Alien Covenant. The Xenomorph is supposed to be some mysterious Alien monster that predates humans by God knows how long, not some fuckin' Science Experiment by an Android.
All gods eventually die. Maybe not through what we consider natural causes...but they can be destroyed/obliterated, erased or nulled. If EVERYONE stopped believing in the exact same god...then that god would cease to exist, would it not? Gods most certainly can die. You can be immortal, and still die. That which is ETERNAL is everlasting, but nothing in this universe or any other is Eternal. The universe(s) itself are Eternal in a sense (Quasi-Eternal), a massive universal Big Bang, an almost never ending heatwave expansion with things unknown... quadrillions of years later the heatwave stops expanding and begins to retract towards its point of origin (Big Crunch)....death of the universe which at that exact same moment like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, a New Big Bang occurs bringing old remnants from the previous universe as well as new ones into reality. Gods most certainly can die
So the Mutagen helped facilitate the Xeno to born and bust out of the body ?
Honestly@@MoviesBallsDeep, prometheus sucked..even if he creates hisnown version you saw on the walls of an alien tyoe creature...id likr to think this as an alternate time line
@@MoviesBallsDeep were are you getting this wild crazy info. As per Ridley Scott David created the xenomorph…. Not the just the covenant one but all of them…
I dint think that's a fossilized engineer. I think that's a flights suit. It resembles the flight suit of the engineer in prometheus.
David didn't kill the engineers Ridley Scott himself has said that was another planet that the engineers had made live on not the engineers themselves...
We need a 3rd chapter in the Prometheus storyline.
Pllz god no
We NEED Aliens 2
That black goo ruined everything
Defo. It's a shame. I'm just glad Prometheus got acknowledged in Romulus so there is hope yet. The best bit of Romulus was the 5 seconds when it played the Prometheus theme 😂
Agreed,
what gets me is that David wants to create his own creation, but uses someone elses blueprints to create that. So you're not creating anything new. He's more like Lucifer, wants to be GOD but can't truly create anything of his own.
People are interested finding God and doing the same things as god. Some people even call themselves God
Wait. That is such a good analogy for how modern generative ai works. David can create but only by using the works of others
This deserves more likes
Loved Alien Romulus...but we still need a final to David's story
Start the petition, I'll sign!
@narcosys6934 well he has essentially the cook book for the xenos at least the novel hinted at that
@greywolf535 but he had no experience or exposure to the original Xeno's to know their structure and development timeline.
No. The “goo” was first synthesized by the engineers, they got them from-the facehugers. Xenos were created to control populations by the engineers.
Spoiler. 😭
People still think of these things
(1) The beings on Planet 4 are not Engineers
(2) David did not create the Xenomorph.
@@davebear9825why do you think so many people claim so much incorrect info regarding this?
(Homo neanderthalensis)
Ridley Scott is also a prideful and religious man that it took two failed movies and a Disney accusation to humble him enough to let him let other creators try to make since of the entire mess he created.
The engineers created the goo as a plaque or flood to genocide all humans.
@@Shurikan136 the wall” in Prometheus has nothing to do with the plot or lore it’s an Easter egg of Gigers unused work.. that’s all it was.
@@marcstubbs5865what’s your source?
@@Hugo97HD One of the production designers from Prometheus, Steve Messing, specifically states in an interview that the mural was put there as a tribute/homage to H.R. Giger. To quote:
"I also sculpted an altar area for this set that paid homage to Giger -it is a relief sculpture hanging from the wall and has the impression of an alien form with flowing structures surrounding it. There are a lot of easter eggs in this sculpture - including several hidden Giger motifs that were not used in the original film."
Seriously. That's all it was.
There's a comic called fire and stone where a predator hunts an engineer, and we learn the deacon turns into a literal mountain
Hi All,
Most of us die hard & true Alien fans know that the original Alien story was the brain child of writer Dan O'Bannon, who wanting to write a science-fiction action film, collaborated with screenwriter Ronald Shusett on a script, initially titled Star Beast, but eventually changed to Alien.
@@Sci-Fi_Quizshow man that was an excellent well thought out response.
Alien not only inspired me to write my own fan crossover with halo, but it's been inspiring strange work for a long time. Even Frieza wouldn't be the same without this creature...
I’d love read that. Big fan of halo and alien.
Same here, mind giving the name of your story?
@@mkno2799 it's not done yet, it has been planned as a mod for MCC for a long time now nearly since MCC came out. I mean to say I have basically thought up designs for vehicles, enemy types and a bunch of lore
So for context this project has a world of its own, it isn't like halo: Acheron an old story I've read before that I can't remember the author of it find, where a UNSC frigate carrying blue team and some ODST find a distress beacon for another UNSC ship that had crash landed when coming thru slippsace, the result being travel between universes landing them outside the Hadley's Hope Colony from Aliens, which also seems to be an alt universe since Ripley and the Marines are never shown to have shown up yet, or have been notified at all. My story doesn't do that
My story, the working title so far being a few titles, as I wanted to make some movie quality stories and have them kind of spin into each other, to help blend the setting.

Are you sure he killed the engineers or did he kill a planet full of beings who were seeded by the engineers?
IMO and from what Ridley has recently said in interviews was that planet 4 was just another planet created by the engineers and not their actual home world. Hence why they all looked up at the arrival of David as a return of their “God.” And I do believe that the Engineer who sacrifices himself in the beginning of Prometheus is doing so NOT on Earth, but actually on Planet 4
@@SullyCortezyou’re wrong
@@SullyCortezyou are so way off, just look at the movie script notes and it contradicts what your saying. The sacrificial engineer was 100% earth. The engineers we saw David kill were just civilians whether that was their homework’s or not could be argued but that was def engineers and they were welcoming home a military vessel they thought was lost

1. Weyland Yutani discovered David’s research following the events of Covenant
4. The Offspring was a HUMAN/XENOMORPH fusion not a Engineer Creation.

because they are. In both movies highly trained people with amazing backgrounds somehow all have the IQ of livestock. Well I guess they are livestock now.
Everything in the prequels is poorly written. Ridley Scott was just hoping that people would be stupid enough to not notice.
Both of those movies were very poorly written and that is putting it mildly.

min 2:50 so if David was created and he doesn't have a soul (were emotions exist in humans), then how could Wetland's words hurt David's (non existent) emotional capability?
Because Peter Weyland's treatment of David evolve into "curiosity and spitefulness". Plus, long periods of isolation (e.g. 10 years by himself on the 4th Planet) it's believed that the David model's behavior became too human/defective (emotional). Which is why the Walter model, with additional safeguards, was produced.

10:54 The idiom is “ *set loose* ” not “sent loose”.
5:40 I'm not sure if it's just your accent but i believe you mean to say "volition", not "violation".
Those weren't The engineers that david killed
5:40 bruh, violation or volition?😂
I thought i was the only one that caught that
Xenomorph came from their own planet according to the comics in past.
It’s wild.
Why does David wear a space suit?
Wait because of crossover between predators and aliens, does it means predators always been around?
Yeah I think so
It's kinda like greek mythology where the titan eats the children to avoid being usurped, the god rebels for the right to exist, and the human rebukes to serve an inferior master.
Great review!! what a pivot from anime to movies I’m very impressed👍🏿👍🏿
There is no world outside of the first alien movie
David took over Weyland-Yutani after Covenant and has been running it ever since
Basically bishop recast hahaha
I'd love to see that it would make alot of sense
2 mins in and already incredible video thank you
The only problem with this entire thing is alien verse predator when they stated the predators have fought against aliens for centuries before wayland corp was even a thing
He didn't kill a bunch of engineers. This has been proven so many times
I never knew bro had a movie channel too 💀💀, bout to binge watch hella shi
This is what i fear we are on a path too. We remove our fangs so to speak. A man on a couch never made any thing worth of note. Only in struggle do we make things worth some thing of value. Look at animals. The smartest animals are the cruelest and kindest ones in equal parts.
I would like Alien franchise was free from Ridley Scott and forgot About Prometheus and Covenant
Engineers didnt come from black goo
Mural is the Deacon bud
They are NOT engineers but their another creation!!!
5:40 His WHAT?!?
Life cycle of xenomorph understood but engineer story is untold we need explore that more and also do they created predators to teach earth how to build and stuff .... So more
I saw the movie Predator vs Alien Antarctica Ancient Predator A Cree Xenomorph after in the distant future David created the xenomorph. I don't understand which one created it?
None of them created them, xenomorph were around from much time, they have a original Planet
“Thanks, I hate it.”
Spoiler alert 🚨 Romulus
Basically its a messy written fiction, it doesn’t really matter because none of it is even real so why is everyone trying to explain ‘it’
since when this channel was created ?
I still say production of a netflix recreational show would be great put the story in order
Damn I forgot about this channel good job guys
Is this an endorsement of Romulus?
This is a good video. I learned stuff I didn't know. 👍
No one in Hollywood or even remotely associated with Hollywood has the skill .... nah imagination ... to even nut the Aliens out. Put the franchise to pasture.
I’m just saying if we live in a world where we can travel space and manipulate time, why not just bioengineer a son???
They failed at capturing and tried to create it however there is still a perfectly good planet out there with the Red and Blue Queens the true emperors. So why are we focused on these failed experiments for 4 movies goes completely beyond me.
i almost forgot about this show i was too focused in watching ABD's jjk video edit: 8:36 i did not expect this
Ugh my head hurts. Ima stop deep diving on these films an just enjoy them for what they are. Entertainment.
Yeah keep it up 💯 👍
David was a useless Android.
Please work on your voice over voice because I had to stop at :44 because your cadence was so obnoxious.
Oooo new channel ❤❤
Guys, can you explain to me the opening scene of the alien romolus when the ship gets the sample and they cut it open?
What was that and when it happened?
I really hope we get a third film in the Prometheus / covenant series.
6:50 I think that’s the deacon
5:25 Some rando human is shown 😂
We really need 1 final movie with David to end the Prometheus trilogy properly
I love ur anime channel so to see u have a movie channel I’m excited to check it out
David clearly is not that smart.
Is David god ?
Where the heck is David?????
Ridley Scott was full of crap when he made Prometheus and Alien Covenant. The Xenomorph is supposed to be some mysterious Alien monster that predates humans by God knows how long, not some fuckin' Science Experiment by an Android.
Thank you. Everybody, and I mean everybody, knows this.
Thank you. Everybody, and I mean everybody, knows this.
It is an ancient creature, David simply managed to recreate them.
The novel for covenant clears up that David didn't make the og xenos but a new version
I thought the predator species engineered the aliens to hunt?
I mean david kinda right cause..how can u be a true god if ur gonna die eventually
Where is Walter now
Just a retelling of old knowledge.
