I’ve often searched ways to use my starter discard. I see videos and maybe use some ideas but not really the recipes. There’s not one recipe in this video that I don’t want to do! As this is a year old I’m going to search for the part 2! ❤
I think I have found my go to recipe for the munchies in the first recipe. I will probably make a batch and keep them in a vacuum sealed jar to each when I have the munchies. Just made some and they are so good! Thank you for this interesting video using sour dough in ways I never would have thought of. I hate throwing away discard.

K, I tried the Sesame/walnut thing. Ummmmm, I think I’ll try it again but it was really but burnt at the halfway mark when I went to flip them.😢 I feel like I ruined all my ingredients. I’d have to recommend the oven time being a total no more than 20 minutes. Flip at 10 minutes and gage how much longer. It is quite tasty on the ones that are not completely burnt. Thanks for your help.

I made your vegan nacho chickpeas and cornmeal crusted broccoli today and, boy oh boy, were they ever delicious! Very creative recipes - I may make a bit more batter and deep fry the broccolli. BTW - I don't know what the "voice" thing is. You want an irritating voice, got to Chef John. But, his recipes are spot on. Keep up the good work.
Btw..I don't usually subscribe to cooking channels, but I'm subbing to yours! Thanks for using mostly pantry ingredients and keeping it simple! Also in the walnuts recipe with sesame seeds(I can't get them!) could you substitute another nut or flaxseeds?
Aww thank you for kind words and support! HAHA I love simple! For the walnuts, I'm sorry to hear you can't get sesame seeds but not to worry. You could leave out the seeds entirely and the coating by itself will add a nice flavor. Or if you'd like to substitute the sesame seeds, I think your idea of flaxseeds would be delicious, maybe ground up, or any other crushed nuts would be tasty. You might even want try a light sprinkling of your almond flour. If you give it a go, I'd love to hear how it turns out!
Do you have an air fryer? I bet this would work...makes it much easier by shaking rather than pulling out out a tray from the hot oven. I plan to try! I'm on vacay and they have a Ninja double basket. This would avoid having to do two batches.

When making your insanely easy sourdough bread, can I put it in my banneton basket and bake it in my Dutch oven? I don’t have a loaf pan and really don’t want to have to buy one if I don’t need it. Yes, you can totally use your banneton and dutch oven with the insanely easy sourdough method. I'm all for using what we have and not buying anything extra if we don't have to! @@RosiesKitchenAdventures Hi Rosie! I just had to reply to you, because I checked my dough this morning after I had let it proof in my oven with the light on. And was I shocked. The dough had risen up to the top of the bowl and then some. I just got finished shaping it and putting in the proofing basket, waiting for it to rise so I can bake it. I plan on using my Dutch oven, so I am very excited to see how it turns out. I can’t tell you how surprised I was that just using starter that wasn’t fed could do such a good job. This will be my go to from now on. I will let you know how the bread turns out when it’s done!💕

This makes me wonder if you could do pecan pralines or spiced pecans in similar way? But add in cinnamon, all spice, pumpkin spices, etc.?

When making your insanely easy sourdough bread, can I put it in my banneton basket and bake it in my Dutch oven? I don’t have a loaf pan and really don’t want to have to buy one if I don’t need it. Yes, you can totally use your banneton and dutch oven with the insanely easy sourdough method. I'm all for using what we have and not buying anything extra if we don't have to! @@RosiesKitchenAdventures Hi Rosie! I just had to reply to you, because I checked my dough this morning after I had let it proof in my oven with the light on. And was I shocked. The dough had risen up to the top of the bowl and then some. I just got finished shaping it and putting in the proofing basket, waiting for it to rise so I can bake it. I plan on using my Dutch oven, so I am very excited to see how it turns out. I can’t tell you how surprised I was that just using starter that wasn’t fed could do such a good job. This will be my go to from now on. I will let you know how the bread turns out when it’s done!💕

HAHA I, too, wasn't sure it'd work the first time I tried the unfed starter but am so glad I took the chance since it saves so much time and effort!
