I actually didn't mind Joker 2 being a musical, but instead of it being a 2 & 1/2 hour movie about a trial for his crimes from the 1st movie it really should have been a Bonnie & Clyde like origin story about him & Harley.
His character is one of tragedy... A lifetime of being beaten, stomped, treated like human garbage, mentally and physically. It is a reflection of human savagery on another and what it can produce... Until he snapped. He was trying to navigate society and the system with a profoundly broken mind, one physically and mentally traumatized. In the vast majority of his life he only knew damage.
What makes this movie even worse is the fact Joaquin felt even more like “the joker” in this by changing his voice up and saying stuff like “easy darling” just to find out he’s not even the character both movies are named after…the idea that there’s multiple jokers is one of the dumbest things ever even in the three jokers comic, Gotham, etc
I don't care what anyone says, this is a good movie. It's not as good as the first one, and it certainly takes things in a different direction than people wanted, but with that in mind it's still a very good movie. I give the first a 10/10 and the second a 7/10.
The most unrealistic part of this movie is when Dent says they’re going after the death penalty for Arthur after killing 5 people…. If that was the case in Gotham City, Batman would only have fight each rogue once 😂
Good film 👍🏻 i like how catherin Kenner acts like a "surrogate mother" like when she was talking with Lee, like the mum saying"stay away from my son" she was right Lee was just a waste and getting in the way. I didn't like how she betrayed Arthur..kunt.😅
This movie is slightly happier than the first one as lots of people are supporting Arthur, Stewart is nice to Arthur and cares about him, Arthur is happy and finds the love of his life. However I was devastated when I heard about the end.

Jackie has a few comeuppances. Getting mocked on live tv. Harley sets fire to the hospital while she and Arthur escape. Jackie runs away from the fire while yelling at Arthur. If only he had burned.
It was a decent movie, but I didn’t expect it to surpass the first movie. Yes, there was singing involved, which bothered me a bit. However, this Joker was never intended to be the Joker from “The Dark Knight.” Both actors performed really well.
I personally think that it could have been a good movie, but the lack of creativity in making the story going on and the persistent presence of music parts badly penalised it. Directing, cinematography and Phoenix and Gleeson's acting are the few things that I would save from this movie and that's why I'm so terribly disappointed, especially about the end.
Someone should have told Joaquin this movie wasn’t worth his time or effort. Because like god he’s trying so hard. And succeeding but that doesn’t mean much in this movie.
Shut up!! It wasn't a waste, he was brilliant in this. You can't even give a legitimate reason why you dislike this film🙄 other than the obvious...uhh I hated that is was a musical" you don't know what you're talking about mate.
@@christiaandecostait was great 👍🏻 the hate is really unnecessary. And this bloke said "what a waste of Joaquin talent" smh.. Joaquin is brilliant in this.
In my honest opinion Joker 2 Folie a Deux is very underrated , I liked it ❤😪
A lot of us do. 🤡
En todos los videos de Joker 2 te veo XD
9:40 this scene man :( but soo good at the same time

I hated the ending though.
That's a bullshit and not what the movie tone would lead anyways
I would’ve loved a Bonnie and Clyde style with joker and harley committing crimes all over gotham
This should have been called "the torture of Arthur fleck"
For you. For me is a brillant movie
1:46 some foreshadowing for the Ending
1:44
Jackie’s the one who belongs in Arkham.
These prison guards are punks. They’re the ones who belong in Arkham.

He’s so skinny it’s disturbing
The movie was not good ,but Joaquin Phoenix gave an oscar worthy performance

This is not the same Gotham city in the comics and this Gotham city doesn't have Batman
Cant nobody make a scene more sad then Arthur Fleck who was once a Joke
Jackie Sullivan is a wild animal.

Most of those people just like the idea of the joker and not Arthur himself.
Very true my friend

Savagery is right
Pure poetry my friend.
In the words of Deadpool, “God, that’s just lazy writing.”
This was a good movie
Welcome back Arthur
Todd brought the joker character real low and left him there, there's nothing for him and there's nothing for the fans now
1:08 that’s the theme when he’s dancing on the stairs in the first one. Why use that motif for this random scene??
I guess it's kinda his theme song
9:33 se saltaron una pequeña parte de la risa
9:37 he wants to cry but instead laughs,💔
the music in this scene is legendary
Such a hideous society. Good thing Arthur gave them their just desserts.
Coming to digital.. THAT WAS FAST!!!!
Well it was pretty obvious from the get-go.
there’s a reason behind that, despite all the fan boys obsessing over this flop.

He wasn’t even “joker” and got killed by the real one which automatically ruins both movies
What is wrong with Jackie and those other guys?
Jackie is one screwed up maniac.
joker laugh 9:34
9:40

Jackie is sick.
How to ruin and bomb at the box office...Hire Lady Gaga so she can turn it into a musical.
What a waste of Joaquin Phoenix's talents.
As taking on more joker yeah
Agreed
This movie was great imo
