What makes this all the more frustrating is that it was the perfect setup for a good sequel, Joker being on trial and trying to win over the jury while influencing more and more people within prison and outside of it.
I like that idea. And I think some of the story and setting elements here would have made for a good third and final movie. I dont think anyone wanted to watch Arthur just rot in jail for two hours this time around though. Everyone wanted to see him run around with Harley and be Joker.

Such potential completely wasted. Half the leaked footage/pictures we saw weren't even in the film. We barley saw Harley and her and Joker never went on a spree of chaos. They were in the court room more than they were in Arkham. I don't blame the actors, I blame Todd Phillips. I did not think he would turn on his own fans. I loved Joker, the first movie. What a shame.

I honestly love that first song from Cop Rock, “Let’s Be Careful Out There.” 😂 Saw it on YT, it’s the only song I know from Cop Rock, but it’s so delightfully campy. Dude has a great voice and there’s a pipe organ in the station, for some reason.

Sigh sadly I’ve auditioned for some Jokers in shows before. But Alan Tudyk and someone I’ve never heard of got the two I tried for.
The fact that Todd Phillips deliberately went out of his way to make a sequel that's both aggressively nihilistic and a insult to the first film, really shows how utterly low his faith in both DC and his own reputation is.
P.S, I looked up the subtitle for the sequel and it's French for "Madness for two" fun fact really.

Such potential completely wasted. Half the leaked footage/pictures we saw weren't even in the film. We barley saw Harley and her and Joker never went on a spree of chaos. They were in the court room more than they were in Arkham. I don't blame the actors, I blame Todd Phillips. I did not think he would turn on his own fans. I loved Joker, the first movie. What a shame.
Blame the actors, Phoenix is a huge reason this film was written the way it was - he absolutely hated the people who enjoyed the first movie
