    This video is squarely aimed at those that would like to learn how to build, convert, paint and base there first 1/35 Tamiya military figure set.
    An Elite Team
    From the second half of 1944, the M1943 field jacket replaced the M1941, which had been used through most of the early U.S. involvement in WWII; simultaneously, double buckle boots were also introduced. A soldier would typically carry a canteen, ammunition pouch, scope, poncho and more, with the average infantry equipped with a firearm such as the M1 Garand, BAR M1918A2 or a M1A1 sub-machine gun. Officers wielded an M1 carbine. Scout teams would carry a handy talkie radio. This set recreates an infantry scout team of five, which will make a superb project by itself, and can of course be used in a diorama or vignette.
    About the Model
    ★This is a 1/35 scale figure assembly kit. ★Parts recreate soldiers from the second half of 1944, wearing the M1943 field jacket: a commanding officer with M1 carbine surveys the scene, two standing soldiers have an M1 Garand and BAR respectively, a further soldier kneels with the stock of his M1 on the ground, and one soldier is pictured with the handy talkie. ★Comes with a wide range of crisply molded small arms. ★Decals are included for recreation of various rank insignia

    Another great tutorial mate!
    Tamiya has finally reached a pinnacle of plastic injection moulding that surpasses Dragon and Miniart kits.
    Has to be one of the best kits that I’ve assembled.
    They have been very clever to hide the sprue attachment points and provide the recessed personal equipment areas which make it more realistic.
    Great work and thanks for sharing your work again ❤😊

    Great video.
    The beauty of uniforms is that they change colour over time. They're only their "true" colour for a few weeks. Eventually they fade. Therefore, all five of those soldiers would've had a different colour uniform, and even their pants would've been a slightly different colour from their jacket. You could've chosen almost any combination of the colours you tested and it would've looked authentic.

    Bear, great video! Earned you a like and a sub. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. If I may offer one point of interest, the rank chevrons are a wee bit too high on the jackets. They should be about 1/2 way between the shoulder and the elbow. Sort of midway. I know it's nit-picking, but I offer the suggestion with all due respect to your artistic craft.

    • @TheBearScaleModels
      @TheBearScaleModels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Robert big thanks for joining and useful feedback is 100% appreciated here. I had some difficulty finding m1943 with rank chevrons but they were indeed displayed on combat jackets. Then of course when it came to fit them on I totally forgot about you mention ! We wore them exactly the same with space on top of shoulder for divisional patch. Thanks again !

    Excellent how to video. Thank you. Do you have any suggestions on what material to use to fill gaps between the pieces, such as between the arm and the torso? I see you approached it by simply filling it with glue, but in my experience that can be messy and melt some of the details. Any other methods or products you like for gap filling?

    • @TheBearScaleModels
      @TheBearScaleModels  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct I use pressure and the melted plastic fills the gap... this is the best method I have found as opposed to using filler. But if you prefer filler any putty will work... Mr dissolved putty is one of the best for small gaps.

    What you do is you get the thin masking tape slice a small section of it about as thick as the straps on the figure paint it the right colour for the strap and use super glue to fix to rifles

  • @peterdiepenthal4090
    @peterdiepenthal4090 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you cut the strips on the tap properly you should be able to make three to four straps you then just need to cut them to the right length to make the rifle straps give it a try with an old broken model to get it right

  • @peterdiepenthal4090
    @peterdiepenthal4090 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’ve also thought of something else cutting the masking tape thin enough and placing them over the straps on the models it would be very fidgety and time consuming be imagine how good it would look lm gonna be building some German soliders in the future mite give it a try

  • @peterdiepenthal4090
