I have to confess that this old fool shed a tear as the piece came together. When you started with the tree in full health I did think it would be out of place in a diorama of this nature, as trees in the landscape looked more like distorted fingers rising from the ground. I can't thank you enough for sharing your art with us, and your ability to weave such a poignant story is incredible. Thank you.
As a Combat Infantryman from Desert Shield/Storm this really touched me. Once I realized what the looking glass was for it saddened me tremendously. This is the most poignant diorama I have ever seen. Man's inhumanity to his fellow man is one of the greatest tragedies, if not THE greatest ever. If you have been in combat, you understand firsthand. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT THOMAS! Hopefully, I'll be starting making these soon and you are a big influence on that. Til Valhalla JJ -South Alabama
I absolutely love your channel. I did terrain and dioramas for years but had to stop due to issues with my eyes. Every time I watch you work I learn something new and I love learning new things. Once I get my magnifying glass set up I'm going to get back into it and I plan on trying to re-create some of your stuff. You've single handedly inspired a man who had given up. Thank you.
Beside the fact, that this is a brilliant work of art with a deep meaning in it, I like most, that a diorama is the best (if not the only) way to realize this idea. You can't do this a picture because you have to look at it from both sides. It HAD to be 3 dimensional to spread its full power. Ganz großes Kino, vielen Dank für's Teilen!
Lovely work one small historical note. German barbed wire was supported by large wooden X shapes early in the war and by the time the tanks were deployed the Germans had moved to using iron rods with an eyelet at the top to loop the wire around. the introduction of the latter being one of the reasons British artillery couldn't clear barbed wire at the Somme. Of course I'm sure there were places on the Western Front where they had to improvise.
The moment I clocked the soldier with the shovel wasn’t even glancing at the bloke he was trying to off, right after you finished printing it, I knew something was fishy and that I’d be in for a right treat. And I was, for a moment. But then that surprise turned into sadness. Thomas, you’re not just a top-notch craftsman, but also an absolute genius of a storyteller. Thanks for this. Cheers from Patagonia!
Ein sehr schönes Diorama. Habe eine richtige Gänsehaut bekommen. Der Blick vom Soldaten zu den Kindern. Und ja 😢 eine kleine Träne habe ich auch gelassen. Sehr beeindruckend. Sehr beeindruckend. Hut ab.
Thomas, you tell the saddest but most beautiful stories! This one seriously makes me want to cry. Your talent is amazing! Thank you for another incredible diorama.
You always give us such beautiful stories. This one was beautiful and eerie at the same time. It makes you feel bad for the children and that soldier. Thank you Thomas, for another beautiful diorama.
Cool pt 2! WOW! Love the juxtaposition. When I was bored at work sometimes I used to make "trees" out of 25pr Telecom wire, I never got so detailed with clay etc. I just wrapped the trunk w more wire. I especially like the concertina wire detail. Awesome piece!
So powerful! Another amazing piece, Thomas. There is a lot of talented people producing beautiful dioramas, but you sir, you are on a league of your own. Extraordinaire! 👍🏻
I love how creative and outside of the box your builds are! I've especially loved the Time Portal pieces, but this is my favorite thing that you've done. Such incredible attention to detail, amazing composition, and great emotional weight with the juxtaposition of the two scenes. 10/10!!

This was my first time watching any of your videos, and I was totally captivated by your amazing skill and artistry. At the end I had chills when you placed the little children looking through the portal at the horrific scene, with the two soldiers looking back at them. Truly incredible diorama in the physical sense and in its simple message. Thank you so very much for sharing this work with us.
Absolutely outstanding, I love the “time portal” concept. I know you’ve done the same in previous dioramas but it’s always original with each one. First class stuff again Thomas 🤩
I've been following you since the beginning Thomas, and it's interesting to see the evolution of your projects... Your technical sense, this singular approach to your diluted paint, your science of the artistic diorama and the magic of Fabio's products... All of this makes each of your projects a genuine pleasure to look at. Always inspiring, always credible... Your channel is now a must-see for all of us...
Thank you very much my friend, I'm glad that you still like my work🤗. I would like to thank you for your many years of loyalty🙏. Best regards, Thomas🤗😀🫡

If you took away all the figures and the tank and just had the tree in the centre it would have been an amazing scene, but to watch you go though the process of building step by step, then the moment you turned the light on, on the looking glass, i think i said something like Oh!. This is just outstanding and only which i had half the imagination when i come to build a scene!

The moment when a soldier with a sapper shovel looks into the eyes of children was very touching!
I also had that feeling when putting the figures together. Thank you so much.
