    Most students are scared of asking questions or talking in class in general because from primary, junior high or senior high they’ve been penalized or embarrassed for answering a question wrongly in class so there’s that trauma of even talking in class at the university level and most students are unconsciously scarred or uncomfortable asking questions in class because of their experiences from their early education

    • @HillaryOwusu
      @HillaryOwusu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, which is very true but I still believe that so long as a lecturer is willing to answer questions in class, it’s good to give it a shot. If not, they can ask their colleagues who feel comfortable doing so to ask. Or you can ask a colleague sitting by you who seemingly understands the lecturer to explain it to you. The point is to make sure whatever doubts you have is settled so which ever way makes the learner comfortable is cool.😊

    Hill, i know being a lady there would be lecturers and TAs you would go to and they will also bring their proposals and all. How were you dealing with that too.

    • @HillaryOwusu
      @HillaryOwusu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am very friendly but I don’t do too much. I mostly stuck with in-person visits if I need help and it wasn’t that often. Once things start getting uncomfortable, I slowly distance myself from the person. Basically, I didn’t give too much access.

    please what's your advice for someone in final year who's already given up on their cwa?

    • @HillaryOwusu
      @HillaryOwusu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Give your all in the final semester and try to catch up on the skills side. After school the conversation moves from CWA to skills.

    Please how could you make yourself learn your course if you are not really enthusiastic about it

    • @HillaryOwusu
      @HillaryOwusu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Understand why you’re taking the course. You might not like it but you need the grades for your average. Give yourself reasons why you need the course
      2. Try studying the course with friends. It makes it better and sometimes their perspectives can really help you find a little interest
      3. Some TH-cam lessons are fun! You may start liking. Try watching some videos on it
      Give it your best shot. Some people don’t like taking medical drugs but they do cos they need the healing. You can use this analogy for the course. Hope this helps!
