  • The city water hookup is complete with no leaks anywhere. Almost all of the minor details that needed attention have been finished. Some painting, lots of cleaning and it is complete. It is time to take her camping!

Take down the curtains and wash them?.....Get some foam cleaner for carpet and upholstery, a bucket of warm water soft cloth. Spray a little foam on the cloth(very little water on cloth) wipe over upholstery, very lightly, it really makes it smell great....we've had so many campers, it's a trick that works...looks great!

I had a friend that had one of these. He learned....never let a drunk friend barrow your stuff. He went over the things that have to be out of the way to lower the top. When he got it back from his so called friend, the guy totally didn't ready the inside for lowering the top and trashed a few things inside..I have a pop up and many people I know ask.....hey can I barrow it for the weekend.....UM.....NOPE....SORRY.....This is a great series too Joe....TY for your vids

That old english wood restorer is great stuff. I used it on the weathered front door of my house and two years later I can finally notice it starting to fade again. I'll probably just reapply, since it's done such a good job. Since the parts inside your camper won't have the moisture or UV exposure of my door I'd expect it'll last a long long time.

  • @Nortekj

A few years ago there was a product called Liquid Gold that was used to clean and feed and polish all wood surfaces, paneling, cabinets and drawer fronts picture frames etc. I am not sure if they still produce it or not but it was as good if not better than Old English, plus it was sold either in an aerosol spray or in a container like Old English you had shown And also they had a product of same name that was used on stainless steel surfaces.

Back when I had a popup camper, I made a paper template of the floor, then cut a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting. It trapped any dirt and sand. After a trip, it could be taken outside and cleaned. No need for adhesives or fasteners. Looked like short nap carpet but can be cleaned with a water hose on the driveway. You are one hard working son of a gun!

You have that trailer looking nice!! One thing I could recommend for you to keep from tracking in sand and dirt on your floors is a boot brush to put on your step. I have one on my semi and makes a world of difference.. it just mounts on there with two large zip ties.. most truckstops you can find them, otherwise Amazon would have it! Trailer looks sharp and lots of fun! Enjoy!

Old English Oils should be put on at least once a year, preferably twice a year. It does make a difference in the looks.
On those metal parts like for the propane bottle support and the rear bumper after you got most of the rust off, you should have put a coat of Rust Reformer before the final coat. It'll make them last years longer.

Not to mention maybe wax the aluminum and fiberglass on front and back, and Both sides.. Better water drainage.. and as far as passing the OCD test.. I'm curious of the tubes you bought for plugging the gap to keep the little bugs out, can't those be pushed down and out of the way and just left there to go up and down with the top?
That is where the TV was designed to go but I think I'm going to see if mine can go up front in the window. My Hi-Lo is a '94 and has the same floor plan but I think my area up front is bigger. My table also closes and is flush with the wall cause it recesses into the wall.
You have done a great job of cleaning it up. Thanks for sharing.
