    This is tiny but the awnings outside makes you feel like you are living in a much larger space and parking it in places where the scenery is green, and the weather is nice and the area is safe could make is very livable. Very nice.

    Im very critical of builds, but this is definitely one of the best ive seen in this category. Only major change i would make is covering around and beneath the kitchen sink with fancy wood or something, but otherwise its just great.

    • @Dave-sw2dm

      In my meager build, weight was a major issue. When my bikes and gear are loaded I am getting very close to the GVWR of the single axle trailer. I used curtains to cover exposed items instead of heavy wood. worked well for me. But his trailer does look more open without the cabinets and sink being enclosed.

    To Stephens802. Thanks go to you and your in laws for this excellent tour of their outstanding build out of the trailer. I think it is one of the best “hybrid use” and by that I mean able to still haul two motorcycles) I have seen for this size. Your MIL also did a great job on interior design/decorating. For this tour I was impressed by how you showed the various “outside” living spaces and use of the multiple awnings. That really showed how much shaded space could be made around this size trailer and how one could use that area for sitting, cooking, or bike placement. The interior looks very nicely done, especially the bathroom/shower area. Overall this is an excellent video tour of a very nicely finished cargo trailer.

      Do you have links to videos of your other two favorite designs?

    • @ahowl7mx
      @ahowl7mx 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @bigonebikes yes if you allow me a couple edits to post links:
      1) Most innovative full time liveaboard in a small trailer goes to this person with the split half kitchen half shower/bathroom. Imagine what he could have done in a 7x12 v-neck, the combo would be slightly more spacious. th-cam.com/video/kyYqcFvGFLo/w-d-xo.html
      2) The one minimalist trailer that started me really dialing it in in terms of dimensions. It looks like after reviewing many cargo conversions that the minimum trailer width should be 7' to unlock bed configurations in all directions. A minimum height of 7' unlocks split unit ACs, showers, and insulation. I never considered it until this video that 12' is as far as you can go and fit in a single parking space. And of course a ramp door makes a great patio. The V-neck cargo design makes it easier to tow + that's a lot of useful space up front.
      th-cam.com/video/Pv9rFWtp7Ls/w-d-xo.html
      Your video has that screen door concept and great use of awnings and deployable outdoor kitchen. I saw a video where someone welded a patio umbrella holder next to the door to make a neat, colorful look. My takeaway from all three videos is that the designs aren't mutually exclusive. Take the dimensions and outdoor setup and screen door of your video and configure the half shower/kitchen in the first video and that's a solid design.

      @@ahowl7mx , Comment on your number 2. A DOT regulation perpendicular parking space is 19' but can range a little bit on private property. On my current 6x12 SA trailer the tongue is just shy of 4 foot in front of the box. So 16' in total length. As you see in the photo the trailer is a little beyond the wheel stop and so would a car be a little beyond if they let the wheels stop at the curb. I'm thinking you can go with a 16' box as long as you don't go with an extended tongue and fit just fine in the space. For my next trailer I am considering a 8.5x16 because I want to be able to carry two motorcycles and have drop down furniture and cabinets against the walls.

      It's been at least 20 years since I've seen a $300k house for sale. In 2009, after the market crashed, we got our first house for $395k. The folks we bought it from paid just under $600k a few years prior.
      Even the fanciest motorhomes seem like a screaming deal when the average house is a million dollars.

Mine will be stealth for overnighting along roadsides and I plan to try to figure out how to swing my ramp door at the top so I can open it as an instant awning. • @Dave-sw2dm
      @Dave-sw2dm 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you go with the portable AC unit, definitely go for a two hose unit. I wasn't sure how often I would use mine so I went with a one hose and it was a mistake for the hot and humid southeast. If the trailer is in the direct sun I can only get it down to maybe low 80s, but definitely cool enough for sleeping when the sun goes down. The other negative of a one hose is that it has to draw air in from the room that exhausts out the hose which means it is pulling in outside air through the cracks and crevices in the trailer. I had to add a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down to a comfortable level.

    Hey Stephen, do they have a link to their mattress? This is the same floor plan that we've been working on. I love the shower as well. Could you find out where they found that particular shower base? i love the depth!!! Great job by all!

      Looks like they might have actually used a utility sink as a base judging by the shape of it.

    I can't seem to locate a motorcycle stand like you have in this trailer. Could you possibly send me info on that?

    Nice tour, they did a great job on this trailer. You mentioned 16' length, might have missed it if you mention width, but is it 6' or 7'? New to your channel so I'll look around a bit as well. :)
