These two did not half ass anything! Great to see real dedication and craftsmanship. This guy has a ton of skills for how young he looks. I was looking at an 86 Coachman (identical to this) and it picked up a g30 instead. The process seems daunting. Videos like this are inspiring. They make it seem infinitely easier than it really is.

Good call switching out that automatic transmission for a manual. But, I would always be worrying about where the next restroom is.
Thanks! We put a slide out porta-potty under the counter so there is a bathroom if needed, especially at night. There are gas stations and other public restrooms all over so it was never a problem.
Far better than most repair videos. I would say the exterior needs a bit more flair though.

A majority of the planet does not understand or appreciate the resourcefulness, amount of skill, craftsmanship, knowledge, preplanning and mechanics, that went into this. I thought I was pretty handy. That was amazing. Blown away. Any one can plan, anyone can paint, maybe measure and cut accurately but the details and with no electrician, no plumber, no mechanic, no glazer. These are the most skilled individuals I have ever seen in my life. Real life Macgyver! Can you change your car seats? Can you do the plumbing and wire the electric? All with superior craftsmanship? Yeah? How about change the tranny? Gtfo. You can only be the expert and best at one thing or know a little about everything. These people are experts and are the best at everything. Show me your video if you think you even come anywhere near the skill these 2 displayed. I never seen it. Highly skilled. They hit all the trades known to man. Except welding. Had no help! I need to meet you. Probably some rocket scientist and quantum physicists but even they wouldn't know how to use all those tools and do this with that amount of skill

That's a great question. Honestly, it really depends on the person and their situation. Overall, we were happy to be full time on the road. It's been a dream for the both of us and to finally make it happen felt so liberating. We saved enough that we didn't need to work while on the road which helped us with the freedom we were after. There are so many great things about living on the road but it doesn't come without its challenges. Finding a place to camp every night proved to be difficult at times. Traveling during the pandemic made it hard to plan for things as a lot of things were shut down or half open but still full priced. We were able to visit friends and family while on the road but when you are not visiting those people, it can get a little lonely being in a new place and not knowing anyone. We enjoyed our few months on the road but now we are happy to have a home base again. We can still travel but we have a place we can always call home. In the end, I don't think you will regret trying it out. You can always find a place to settle down if you don't like the full time thing. :)

awesome vid man. its nice to actually see someone who knows what there doin. only thing i would of done different is i wouldn't have used SharkBite fittings on every connection. crimped pex fittings hold better especially in a area with movement to prevent leaking. plus standard crimp fittings are way cheaper!
Really appreciate it! It was an awesome learning experience. We never had a single leak with the push to connect fittings so I'm definitely a fan of them. First time working with pex or doing anything like that. I think there will be another adventure build in the future!
