The turbine is super tiny for pump gas. Draw a circle with the diamiter of your turbine exducer. Now fill part of that circle up with a turbine. Now pump all 6 cylinders through that tiny hole at 6500 rpm. A lot of exhaust gas reversion from high back pressure above 4500. ( thats before you add in any other inefficent componets) You can see it in your graphs where it hits the wall. Not a bad thing, probablly just right for a good seat time drift car. Or e85 is a viable solution, even more volume in your exhaust, but lower knock threshold. I expected low 300s, but i also expected 10 or 12 psi in your intake manifold. All in all. Seem about right for the componets. I feel like a 3576 or any 62mm or bigger turbine on a m52/s52 . A 2.5 , mabye 60mm or bigger. Not sure what a.r. your running either. Very similar current thread with a m54 on a 55mm g series on the bfc forced induction section ... o.p. was asking about valve float on a m54.
Yeah I think switching to a larger turbo might gain power all across, especially adding e85 to the mix and turning up the boost as well, thank you for all the info, we’ll see how 300hp feels for now I guess:)
Somethings not right. Detonation mean you are going lean. Were you maxing out your injectors or fuel pump? What size injectors? What size pump? Do you have the readouts for the fueling? Torque and HP graph is great but when you take it to a tuner you want all the data not just a pretty graph to hang on your wall. You could have done better with your speeduino road tuning it.
Yeah its basically a stock m50 on 91, tuner said anything past 8psi and he could hear the engine knocking, if I decide to turn up the power later I’ll prob go to a gt35 and switch to e85, should make quite a bit more power
Does that mean you have always been missing the fire ring? Like, when you swapped to the smaller turbo and everything ? (Hindsight is 20 /20.) Fwiw i just found that I pushed out the top rubber rear strut mounts on my e39 touring. They looked ok on the ground. They poked up 3" towards the cabin when the car was on jack stands. Still hidden under the dust covers. I happened to check WITH the car on stands finally. The kicker, ive been chasing drive shaft vibration on the highway for months..... factory air with the strut tops free floating. One missing 3$ washer per side, from when i installed them. Facepalm.
Yoo, rn i'm trying to rebuild my m50 myself (first try btw) and i was wondering if you can help me with the torques for everything .. I searched like 3-4 days and stii found nothing .. Ty
You cannot run 60# on e85 long term you’ll max out the duty Cycle of the injectors (want to stay 80% or less on the duty cycle) you’ll need to make the change to 80lbs or 1000cc if you want to make 500whp I run ID 1300 on my turbo s50 e30 I make 760whp on 32 psi on my 6466 on full e85 and 590 on 93 at 22 psi
My m50 stroker on e85 made 330whp on 8psi. But I do have 80lbs injectors. I have hit 14psi but not on the dyno. I’d love to get it back on the dyno soon

Why so little my S52 was making that NA? you need cams, dr vanos stage and ported head
