    You're my favorite AJP Rider. Have watched a ton of your vids. Keep them coming! I ordered the Gold edition due to arrive the end of March in the USA. Can't wait to join the club!

      @@dirtbikeadv I love it. Love seeing the bike in action, and just your down time/camp stuff. Adds to the story. I've been wanting to add the camp element to my channel as well. It brings so much more to the personality of the rider. Something I've failed to capture. Australia is beautiful! I enjoy seeing the terrain out there. You inspired me to get the insta360 x3, so I bought that today. Ouch! Expensive. But, ya gotta pay to play. Ride safe brother. 👊

    That long wheel base will give you a good workout in that sand.

      Not too bad the longer wheelbase does make it a bit more stable I find. Found on the PR7 I had to go a bit faster to stay on top of the sand compared to a dirt bike that's the big thing I noticed

    I don't own an PR7 or even ridden one, but after watching tons of video reviews of ALL the adventure bikes available, from the CRF300Rally to the BMW1300GS and everything in-between, I would say this bike ( on paper at least) is the closest to being that famed Unicorn Adventure bike everyone is looking for. Would you agree?

      Yes the PR7 and the 690/701 run a very close race. I've had a 690 but I prefer the PR7. I've done the same research and it came down to these two bikes for me.
      Safe travels
      Regards Steve

    Great video mate, how is the PR7 holding up reliability wise?

      Hi James, yeah good so far mate but I've only had it for a year and about 12,000kms. Still very happy with it

    Im with you. The whole idea of getting out to those places is getting away from everyone, not gathering around 100s or 1000s of other people.!!!

    I am looking for a bike as part of an expedition to cross the Saudi empty quarter. As far as I can tell the best two bikes for this job (have to do tarmac to access Saudi then be very off road capable) on the market are the AJP PR7 and the KTM 690 Enduro R. I have been though Simpson on the Hay river track, K Line and Rigg road and the access road to Birdsville up and down miles of parallel sand dunes in a V8 Landcruiser pickup. The sand was deep and soft. The terrain in the Saudi empty quarter is over very soft sand ramps for 3500 KM - do you think the AJP could handle this or would the KTM be better?

      @@AlanCrofts-h2b Hi Allan, yeah your spot on U have the best two choices if your going to ride a lot of sand. There is several things to consider. The 690 will have more power which can help in deep sand but not sure if U can turn off traction control cause this would be a pain. You may want to consider a steering stabiliser and tower for the 690 as well. The PR7 has a longer wheelbase so no stabiliser required imo and is ready to go out of the box. The other thing is the suspension, the PR7 is very soft and plush whereas the 690 is a lot firmer. I prefer the PR7 suspension as I tend to cruise a long a bit but if U go hard and fast go for the 690.
      All things considered there is very little between them and to be honest I would follow your gut feel.
      Thanks for watching Regards Steve

    Thought you might be a good person to ask since the videos you do have encompassed a good range of terrain. Think I saw you trying out 701 which must have before you settled on the PRincess7. Now you have had it for a while any regrets or change of heart re the completion?

    • @dirtbikeadv
      @dirtbikeadv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Simon, no won't be selling the PR7 for a long time mate. The 690/701's are really good bikes but I like the PR7 more. A much better touring bike for the bigger KMs and a lot simpler to own and maintain. The recent Gulf trip I couldn't have done on the 690 I had. I would have been hurting way too much. About to do a review which will be a bit more detailed than what I usually do so you'll get a lot of info out of that
      Thanks for watching mate
